I love this song so much. I can't get over the imagery of "Falling like a yo-yo" because that's genuinely what it feels like to have a mental breakdown. Just violently falling and spinning so fast and out of control. You can't stop and you can't even figure out where you are or where you're going. It's just great writing.
Literally every song is a banger its insane, I really hope at least 1 song hits the mainstream, they deserve the credit

Why the f*** does that sound so much like how I started on them back in 2001 when I was four, insane how similar experiences people have nowadays. My dad was abusive so these guys really helped me through quite a childhood. Love all of the bros that share similar destinies. As someone who lost my cat 26 years ago I think Green Day is quite a good band.
after myself having come out of the loony bin back in september, this song comes as a comfort. i might not really have any friends right now, but at least i know there are people out there who understand the feelings i have about a shitty life. maybe this song can help others get the gist of it as well.
this band means so much to me, and i'm so glad that my physical body pulled through-at least long enough-to hear this album.

This song is really something. This "classic" Billie Joe lyrics that we love, that slow but victorious sound gives chill. In Fancy Sauce I hear that big long road Green Day made for almost 35 years.

Been listening to these guys since I was a kid in the 90’s. Dookie legit shaped my music tastes. This album brings me back big time. Hopefully I can afford to catch them in Boston in August.

I was working in a small record shop when Kerrrrplunk came out and they played in my local punk club. I bought it because it was new and I hadn’t heard anything like it before. How many years later and I have this song on repeat in my head? We all die young someday. So true but we still live on anyway. Just finished my first listen through of the album. I haven’t loved many albums since 21CB BUT I LOVE IT. So many of Billie’s classic vocal melodies and Mike’s dirnty basslines. L O V E. Thank you Green Day. Forever my favourite band ❤️

When you’re my age (45) and you’ve been listening to this band since 1994, the “we all die young someday” line & the Nirvana references hit you like a ton of bricks. This album really is like a trilogy with Dookie & American Idiot where it really represents 3 phases of your life. I’m glad younger people appreciate it but if you’re an old head like me, it just hits different

I actually started listening to Green Day actively in 2022, went through all of American Idiot, 21st Century Breakdown, Revolution Radio, Father of All, and listened to the greatest hits too. But even then this song just hit me with the exact line you mention bc some of the stuff I have is like half my age now and I'm just sitting here like "what the hell, I've gotten so old"

Love this new album. I had Dookie and listened to it constantly. I had a girlfriend that had Kerplunk and I didn't even realize there was an album before Dookie. Seems like so long ago, but not that long. Seeing them in concert next week.
Honestly I was blown away by the entire album. But when this started blasting through my speakers, I knew that this was one of the best songs I've ever heard. This is incredible.

I wish I would have discovered Green Day in the Spring of 2009 when 21st CBD came out, the time my (second) father had left my mum and me. That would probably have gotten me through those rough years, 2009 and 2010, a lot better. I discovered Green Day in Summer of 2012 when the troubles had already been over for about 1,5 years and life was good again. Still, they are my favourite band to this very day for almost 12 years now.

This album’s only been out for a week yet it’s already giving a sense of nostalgia. Maybe it’s just me feeling this but every song reminds me of road trips my family and I have taken and the music we’d listen to, Green Day being one of the bands. This is such a solid piece of art and I hope it gets more recognition this year
I first came across Green day when I was 13 or 14 with their dookie album. Loved them ever since. I try to see them every time they come to England 🇬🇧. Great to hear new songs 🎵 👌
