This really hits home for me, a man struggling with addiction with a baby girl on the way. I just can't stop. Once I found out what the lyrics meant, I can't listen to it without borderline crying if not weeping. This was what I needed

It's just a perfect comeback. It's not possible to say where could I hear such vibe in their previous albums. It's not Dookie vibe, it's not Warning vibe, it's not AI vibe. It's their fresh Saviors vibe. And it's awesome.
@@HellevangWolfit’s closest to RevRad but it’s got more of that 50s pop sound that they’ve always loved in it. RevRad had way more production on it as well, this is more stripped down and I’m totally here for it
So far this new album has been solid. Looking forward to the full release. Feels like a return to form for Green Day, and I’m here for it. The three songs released so far… are already better than the entire track list from their last album.
I just found this song a couple of hours ago. So I was walking home from school with my friend, and we just so happened to run into his step mom, and she gave us a ride the rest of the way. This song was playing on the radio, and the second I heard it, I fell in love. This song has sparked an interest for me in Green Day. I'm going to go through all their catalog and see how many hits I can find. If they have songs that are like this or any other songs, comment.
Here are some of my favorites: Redundant, Letterbomb, Jesus of Suburbia, Homecoming, Before the Lobotomy, American Eulogy, See the Light. There's a lot more that I love but definitely check out their older albums. There's a lot of good songs.
I am very proud to say Green day has definitely been my favourite band since childhood, to this day, their old and new songs/albums are still a banger and always will be! It's true what they, Green day never disappoints! 🤘🏼🎸
Man, same here, that's just what I thought! Green day definitely are immortal ones, who have walked with me for most of my life and are still going today, releasing new albums, making our connection stronger and stronger with each album!
My new favorite song 😭 I can relate so much. I just hit 2 years sober yesterday. Thank you so much Green Day. I’ve seen you guys live twice & have a whole sleeve of tattoos in y’all’s honor. Love you so much
This is such a nice surprise. I was in love with Green Day as a teen, then life happened, but I occasionally go back for a listen. Great to see them back closer to their old quality. Also, Billie Joe still looks awesome. Good for him x
As someone whose been trying to straighten the drinking habit out, nail on the head for this one. Beyond excited for the album. And it’s been a while since I’ve had this excitement for a Green Day release
@@Stefan_Gerardsappreciate it, pretty good now. Was never really an issue for me just cutting back big time. Starting to feel the consequences of a long night out time to dial it back. Enjoying being hangover free
"I don't want to be a dead man walking" can mean 2 things simultaneously: 1- He doesn't feel alive when sober, therefore he wants to stay high 2- He becomes miserable when he's drinking, therefore he knows he should stay sober That's why it's a fucking DILEMMA! Absolutely genius songwriting
This is the exact way I feel. Worst song for anyone to vibe out to in AA or NA or is a recovering alcoholic lolol Regardless, I love Green Day for everything they are, and this song is another example of why we love Green Day.
Wow! The sound evolves to stay current and relevant and yet it is still so distinctly the classic Green Day we know and love. The lyrics get more and more heartfelt too! This one hits hard. Can’t wait to hear the full album and to see you in Manchester next year. 🙏🏻
What a good, brave and honest video and song. In addition to being extremely necessary. This brings identification to those who hear through their own shadows. As a fan, I am grateful on so many levels for having my favorite band bringing such a well-produced and sincere sound. Billie, I admire you even more for everything. Even more so after what you did for us at Rock in Rio 2022. I imagined it, but now I'm sure of your character and heart. Thank you for your courage and strength. Thanks! I love you guys!
Green Day got me through some hard times years ago & it's touching that Hyunjin of Stray Kids sent me back for a reminder (especially since Stray Kids is currently helping me through a hard time). I hadn't heard this song yet - it's great and incredibly open and honest. Thanks for sending me back, Hyunjin!
@yeOldeThorne revolution radio has some great songs and melodic hooks, but, at to least to me, I've never heard Green Day write a song with this much earnesty and emotion. There's no metaphorical lyrics that aren't really about anything, this song feels gritty, real, and like Billie was able to tap into a different sort of vocal performance that feels brutally open. I think this might be the best Green day song of the past 10 years
@@yeOldeThorneRevRad felt pretty toothless imo. Like what is Revolution Radio? The headline? Our loves bullet proof? What does that have to do with anything. Very vague, very buzzwordy. No hate, just my opinion as a long time fan. Love this new track
RevRad has a few songs I like a lot, but honestly I don't think anything on there has quite the impact of this song. In fact I might even say it's their best since the American Idiot album (sorry, but I'm not as big on 21st Century Breakdown as a lot of people seem to be these days).

This song and this video took guts. Not everyone is brave enough to address their struggles with substance abuse head-on. Musically, it's also my favorite track on the album so far. I think it's Grammy material. Great work, Gentlemen!
I started listening to Green Day when I was 11. I'm 30 now and I'm in recovery from addiction too. Life is weird! I appreciate your honestly in this song, Billie.
One of my favorite Green Day songs now. The lyrics are so powerful and the sound captures that feeling of being at the bottom and trying to claw your way back up
Green Day never cease to amaze from Dookie to American Idiot to Saviors. They honestly don’t have bad songs or albums (the short father of all album was sort of a mishap, but still good). Green Day will always be a band that will be around from decade to decade and garner new fans. My first show was in 1995 during the insomniac tour. I love this band.
I always describe Father As All as "when the band thats forced to make a new record by their label choose to sacrifice some genuinely good songs in the name of getting the fuck out of dodge" hahahaha
8 years sober but man this video takes me back to some dark days. Literally lived it. Even collapsed into (my own) drum kit on more than one occassion. Kudos to BJ on his sobriety. It is important that we not forget the past, but learn from it. Loved GD since 92 and always will. ❤❤❤
Was listening to nimrod after running out of new singles and I came across the song uptight. Then, he's talking about being drunk and suicidal. And in Dilemma he's like "wait fuck no, I want to LIVE" it's amazing how much we change over the years. Love you Billie/Green Day
I only recently started listening to Green Day, maybe a year ago. But I immediately became a die hard fan, honestly. Their music is so good, and Saviours is the best album they’ve done since 21CBD. Revolution Radio was very good, but this album just hits the spot
Well mate, I´m a fan for more than 20 years and they have so great albums. Of course u have Dookie as a gem, but you got it. Your chose my favourite album for your profile pic :) Nimrod is, for me, their masterpiece (for an album, many genres, so emotional, angry, so complex)
This song makes me realize how much better some of their songs from the past decade would sound with a better guitar tone. This sounds so full of energy in comparison to the other two singles. I really like it!
That’s actually my biggest issue with all of the trilogy era. There are a handful of songs I would find to be pretty good or at the very least decent, but the tone of the guitars and even drums seem so watered down and lackluster. Like they are just missing that punch of energy that Green Day songs usually have.
@@josejr.garcia2228Yeah, I'm basically thinking of the trilogy cause while it was a 5-6/10 everything afterwards was a straight 2/10 that could not be saved by a good guitar tone.
My mom recently passed away and on the same month they released their first songs from their new album. They have helped me a lot, but this song hits different. Being in a dark place and having some weird thoughts and Green Day shining a bright light on me through this song is what I needed. 😢❤ Thank you for a second chance.
My favorite songs the last few years (in no particular order): Green Day Dilemma Offspring We Never Have Sex Anymore Weezer Hero Blink 182 Turpentine So great to have new great music from the bands I loved most in high school.
I hope he knows how many lives he saved and was touched by his music. I wouldn't be here so tough if I hadn't heard American Idiot back then. I remember hearing it for the first time so clearly and something just clicked. That was the first day of the rest of my life. Green Day gave me purpose and without them I wouldn't be writing today, seriously. No matter what happens in my life, their albums are always there to guide me. Through childhood to adulthood and everything that comes after. I thank my lucky stars. Once again, Thanks Billie Joe. The most beautiful human being to walk this Earth. 😘😘

I can't stop listening to the song, and it keeps getting stuck in my head. One of the best songs they've done in years. Not only is it hella catchy, but it's so meaningful. I recently read the quote where he said he's 16 months sober. I hope that interview was done a while ago and it's longer now, and that he keeps going with it!
Ahhh I'm so looking forward to the new album!! I love how they've gone back to their classic GD style while still keeping up with new ideas. It's awesome!! Forever a Green Day fan!!
What do the always say? The greatest artist always go through the greatest turmoil. Have loved this band since day one. 3 chords and a catchy relevant song can take you a long way. Definitely seeing them in July. 60 yrs old here an on my bucket list. All I got to say dude is take care of yourself. If we never hear anything else that's ok. As long as your good bro.
I think the fact that this song is a little more "literal" than usual, and that Billie said it's very personal, makes me think that he wrote it at a time where he really felt like he needed to express what he was feeling. We all know that he has a very deep history with drugs and everything them did to him. At least in my case I feel a kind of connection with him in the song, it seems to me as a big relief and a feeling of guilt. I´m really proud of him, and I think we all here are, because quitting addictions isn´t such an easy thing. I love and admire Billie so much, I´m so happy that he´s currently well. ❤❤
Exactly. For me it’s food. Just like a drug or alcohol addiction, food addictions are extremely hard to overcome, too. And finding a way to stop that can be very traumatizing, too.
I'm so proud of GreenDay watching them mature from young boys to grown men with wives and children, God bless you all and continue to do well in life, Love Mom's and Pops 🌹⚜️🐊
this song and Look Ma are giving me hope that this album’s gonna have some really great stuff on it. Love love love the heavier guitar tone and billie’s shouty delivery on lots of the vocals, feels evocative of his live vocal style which is great to hear since his voice has sounded a little too squeaky-clean on the production end lately
This is just my take....sounds like a song to remind those in recovery to stay the path. "This is my dilemma and it's my obsession". "Welcome to my nightmare where dreams go to dissappear." "Im in trouble and in love again"...with the high.
Compared to the other two new releases, this one is so much more personal. I love it ❤️❤️❤️ One of my favorite things about Green Day is their ability to bounce between funny and crude lyrics to these deeply personal and relatable lyrics. I can’t wait for the album to drop 🙏🏾
Green Day 4 ever ❤❤!!
RevRad sitting in the corner feeling forgotten right about now also...I don't think many fans of the band would consider a comparison to FOAM a good thing lol
I'm truly captivated by the incredible talent of Billie and the timeless energy of Green Day. Billie's unique voice and innovative approach to music have been a significant inspiration for me, sparking my own journey into the world of music. Similarly, Green Day's iconic sound and stage presence have left an indelible mark on the music industry. This really hits home for me, a man struggling with addiction with a baby girl on the way. I just can't stop. Once I found out what the lyrics meant, I can't listen to it without borderline crying if not weeping. This was what I needed

Sorry for your loss.
It's just a perfect comeback. It's not possible to say where could I hear such vibe in their previous albums. It's not Dookie vibe, it's not Warning vibe, it's not AI vibe. It's their fresh Saviors vibe. And it's awesome.
It would have fit right in on RevRad tbh
the slower parts definitely remind of Brutal Love off of ¡Tré! but everything else feels fresh

If you love this I think good songs for you would be 1981, Bobby Sox, Jesus of Suburbia, and Saviors!
American Idiot is classic. Reminds me of this record.
brain stews a weird one like this i think you'll like it
You would definitely like songs off of the albums American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown
Here are some of my favorites: Redundant, Letterbomb, Jesus of Suburbia, Homecoming, Before the Lobotomy, American Eulogy, See the Light. There's a lot more that I love but definitely check out their older albums. There's a lot of good songs.
My favourite of the three singles so far! Super excited for the new album. Keep doing what you guys do! 🎉
I am very proud to say Green day has definitely been my favourite band since childhood, to this day, their old and new songs/albums are still a banger and always will be! It's true what they, Green day never disappoints! 🤘🏼🎸
Man, same here, that's just what I thought! Green day definitely are immortal ones, who have walked with me for most of my life and are still going today, releasing new albums, making our connection stronger and stronger with each album!
glad someone else also relates to me too@@НаброскиОбнажённойНатуры
My new favorite song 😭 I can relate so much. I just hit 2 years sober yesterday. Thank you so much Green Day. I’ve seen you guys live twice & have a whole sleeve of tattoos in y’all’s honor. Love you so much

This is such a nice surprise. I was in love with Green Day as a teen, then life happened, but I occasionally go back for a listen. Great to see them back closer to their old quality. Also, Billie Joe still looks awesome. Good for him x
Wow! What a personal and vulnerable song, this will definitely be a top 10 Green Day song of all time.
Why does Green Day have to hit the nail right on the head for what I’m going through with every single release for this album?
After 4 years of feeling nothing real with a song, dang! These guys again hit the nail bro! Just what I was coping with.

As someone whose been trying to straighten the drinking habit out, nail on the head for this one. Beyond excited for the album. And it’s been a while since I’ve had this excitement for a Green Day release
you got this man! sobriety really is so worth it ❤
@@Stefan_Gerardsappreciate it, pretty good now. Was never really an issue for me just cutting back big time. Starting to feel the consequences of a long night out time to dial it back. Enjoying being hangover free
"I don't want to be a dead man walking" can mean 2 things simultaneously:
1- He doesn't feel alive when sober, therefore he wants to stay high
2- He becomes miserable when he's drinking, therefore he knows he should stay sober
That's why it's a fucking DILEMMA! Absolutely genius songwriting
i think he is miserable after drinking but drinking makes him feel alive again
OR, These habits would literally kill him, which almost did in the past. Like what Weezer sang in say it ain't so "your drug is a life taker"
This is the exact way I feel.
Worst song for anyone to vibe out to in AA or NA or is a recovering alcoholic lolol
Regardless, I love Green Day for everything they are, and this song is another example of why we love Green Day.
wow you must be an artist with insights like that
Y te recuerda a boulevard of broken dreams
Por lo de walking digo...

This song may be the best one you've recorded since the trilogy. I'm excited for the new album ❤
Some of the best material to come from Green Day in over 10 years I love this album so far!
Revolution Radio wasn't that long ago
We won’t even associate with father of all
@yeOldeThorne revolution radio has some great songs and melodic hooks, but, at to least to me, I've never heard Green Day write a song with this much earnesty and emotion.
The lyrics are so powerful and the sound captures that feeling of being at the bottom and trying to claw your way back up
Ascolta LA STORIA dei Green DAy... parti da DOOKIE e poi ne riparliamo...
Me too. My fav track on the record.
I agree with this a lot. The sudden desperate sounding yelling at yourself for doing it again, the sound is great. The lyrics are totally on point.
Nailed it.
These lyrics feel like a part 2 to ‘Still Breathing’. So many people can relate to them. Very refreshing song choice for a single :)
Yes exactly what I thought instantly
These old dogs still have a few tricks up their sleeves. Amazing piece of work. Thanks Green Day. The world needs you, now more than ever.
This song is amazing!!! Might be my favourite out of the Saviours singles thus far! 🖤🖤
8 years sober but man this video takes me back to some dark days. Literally lived it. Even collapsed into (my own) drum kit on more than one occassion. Kudos to BJ on his sobriety. It is important that we not forget the past, but learn from it. Loved GD since 92 and always will. ❤❤❤
Billie is def not sober atm.

Day 1 of listening: "Oh yeah, pretty good"
Day 2 if listening: "Damn, this is actually REALLY good"
Day 3: "I WAS SOBER, NOW I'M DRUNK AGAIN"
Yeah, I also felt that
real
I'M IN TROUBLE AND IN LOVE AGAIN
Mine is the opposite: day 1: wowwww, what a song, day 2: okayyy, day 3: fck so annoying, so monotone, so mehh
I DONT WANNA BE A DEAD MAN WALKING
This song makes me realize how much better some of their songs from the past decade would sound with a better guitar tone. This sounds so full of energy in comparison to the other two singles. I really like it!
So true
The drop D tuning really helps!
That’s actually my biggest issue with all of the trilogy era. There are a handful of songs I would find to be pretty good or at the very least decent, but the tone of the guitars and even drums seem so watered down and lackluster. Like they are just missing that punch of energy that Green Day songs usually have.
You mean the trilogy. At least UNO would’ve blown people away if the guitars were heavier.
@@josejr.garcia2228Yeah, I'm basically thinking of the trilogy cause while it was a 5-6/10 everything afterwards was a straight 2/10 that could not be saved by a good guitar tone.
EASILY the best new single. I love the songs that feel personal. More of this, please!
American Dream is a good one too
yeah, nah thas not true lmao
This song just became an anthem!!
My mom recently passed away and on the same month they released their first songs from their new album. They have helped me a lot, but this song hits different. "Welcome to my nightmare, where dreams go to disappear"

@@ligmaballs2022 I might use that
@@yeOldeThorne I can't imagine that sentence fitting around a tune. Just too many syllables

Ive always felt a connection to the brutally real green day songs and ive already fallen in love with this song.
Such a banger! Can’t wait to see them on tour!
Thank you Green Day for making music alive again...
Thanks Green Day for the wonderful music for 34 years..
This is certainly one of the best songs Green Day have released for a long time! Good job!

Look ma no brains It's a cheap copy of the song: Estigmas en tus neuronas By Rock punk JHR, of the year 2018
Billies vocal reach sounds so pure and refreshing!
Its like we are back to punk era once again 🥲❤
This is just my take....sounds like a song to remind those in recovery to stay the path. "This is my dilemma and it's my obsession". "Welcome to my nightmare where dreams go to dissappear." "Im in trouble and in love again"...with the high.
