Classic Green Day sound, love it. I hear so much Nimrod and some Insomniac in this one. This and dilemma are easily the two highlights of the album for me. The chorus has a tad of 86 in it.

Green Day are awesome. They truly are. I've been listening to them for about 6 years now, and have listened to (almost) all of their discography preceding Saviours. Yet somehow this album managed to mesmerize me. It feels new, and somehow nostalgic at the same time. It feels like meeting an old friend and revisiting the moments you've both shared together. Love you guys. Thanks for being together for so long and giving us good music all the while. Love from India

We are not promised ANYTHING in this world. Only the next. I'm not trying to be an ass, I mean it's really depressing. It's a great lyric to sum up the desperation of our lives, but it lacks impact. My all-time FAVOURITE Green Day lyric is "Not every Sunday can be Easter."

In the line where it says he promised us forever but we got less, i found it works really well when american idiot is taken into context. The jesus of suburbia’s arc was that he left a life of rebellion to live a normal life, but now when people do the same, ifs basically hell in this day and age. Its impossible to live an honest life and not be on the brink of starvation. Especially in the US.
So far the entire album has been great, Blink 182s One More Time is amazing, and what I have heard from Sum41s Heaven and Hell has been great too. It’s great that three of the biggest pop punk bands ever are all putting out great music right now.

Every track on Saviors is an absolute banger, but this song is my favorite due to how similar it is to Letterbomb; one of my favorite GD songs. I also got Yellowcard vibes when I first heard this song. Also noticed that the first vocal melody in the bridge sounds similar to one of the vocal melodies in the Viva La Gloria intro. Also love that solo.
