Thanks Alex! I’ve subscribed to your channel now - got a feeling I’ll be watching lots of them! Nice and easy to understand and always with more than one way of doing it! Plus there’s always a link to follow for parts etc! 👌🏼
Alex are those “blue r “ floor mats ? Has blue trim and a blue r on it? If so where could I get them I’m from Canada and cannot find them 😢. Your a legend if you respond
Hi Alex, thanks alot for your videos! I just replaced all my interior lights bulb to LED bulb with no issues, except for the footwell unit! I replaced the left one and worked fine, then I replaced the right one it did work for a second then suddenly both lights went Off!! I think I blown up the fuse!? I'm not sure, do you have any idea where to find it and replaced it!? Thanks
Hi there. You are welcome. I am glad that you find my videos helpful :) Yes It possible that it damaged the fuse or the bulb contact isn't good. You can always open the unit and double check if the bulb is sitting in properly. I will double check the fuse location for you
I can also suggest to disconect your battery for 10 min and then reconnect it. Will reset the system fully. It helps sometimes as system can get confused
@@AlexTheGrumpyOne Alex thank you so much 😀 I just did exactly what you said and the passenger side LED footwell unit now working fine 🙂 for some reason when I replace the driver side LED unit the power switch off again (on both sides) and I have to reset the system to get the power back on!! also the centre 12v socket fuse was burnt at the exact moment when the power switched off first time which is very confusing as I can't see how they're connected!? Anyway, if you got any more suggestions please let me know, if not don't bother. Thanks again for your help 😄
Thank you for letting me know bud. Yeah it seems like it. It might be because it's a full kit now for all the interior lights. Have you seen my latest video?
Alex, I have just changed my oem bulbs to blue led , plug n play no changing bulbs. Beforehand my footwell lights stayed on while driving, now they not come on when you open doors or key off. If you close the doors they flash quickly then go off . Any ideas?
You legend, this was exactly what I was looking for and couldn’t find anything else like this on RUclips. Bravo.
Thank you very much for your kind comment and support!
I'm glad that it's helping out!

White ones 😀 I should have them in stock soon 😀
@@AlexTheGrumpyOne thanks mate, can the whole set of lights go on Golf 6? Like, is it the same system as in the Scirocco?
Thanks for the video...Can you show how to get to the drivers side light ?
Hi there. Its the same way. Getting tool under it and pulling down. You will be able to see where the plug is once you start pulling it.
@@AlexTheGrumpyOne I literally cannot get my drivers side footwell light out
Take the whole panel down to make it easier. It's only 3 screws
Hi Alex how did you get the drivers side light out? Theres no where to reach behind like the passenger side.
Thanks
Hi there. Get a plastic trim tool under one side of it and pull it down and push out in the same time
