Agreed. I really wish he would slap more often. He's just doubling the guitar pretty much nowadays, plus his bass tone is much more dull now compared to how punchy and crisp it was here.
Amazing guitar tone as always from Jim. Alder is pretty much in his prime here, fantastic performance. Fucking Zonder man, allowed the band to move to more dynamic musical territories. Joey with his punchy tone and slapes. Such an incredibly tight band.
Very cool footage. The bass slaps is if Les Claypool we’re to sit in. Had no idea Vera had been with them that long.👍👍🤟🤟
It takes a few listens to really start to get it but A Pleasant Shade of Grey has to be my favorite FW album. It's a challenging album to grasp but it's worth the effort.

A challenging listen that takes a few spins to really sink in but once it does...oh man. I love both the Arch and Alder eras of FW but this has to be my favorite FW album.
