    Do contact Fiio as fast as possible. The new pairs shipped now already have the new pins installed. Also let them know about the screws coming loose on the sides as they should've replaced them too.

      Yeah, I saw a Reddit post about that yesterday, and immediately emailed FiiO. I haven’t heard back yet, but I hope I do soon! Thanks for bringing it up here, hopefully others see it too.

    I have the AR5000, its my first real headphone and I really like it. I agree the Aune build looks a little nicer. I am thinking of getting the FT1 pro too and it does come with a case. Nice comparison.

    • @DeepSouthAudioReviews
      @DeepSouthAudioReviews  8 дней назад +1

      Yeah the AR5000 is really a gem. It hits the perfect balance for me when it comes to sound/comfort/cost. That’s why I like using it as my benchmark when trying out new sets. You also can order the case for the AR5000 separately on Amazon. I recommend it, it’s an incredible case.

    Hallo, I have the HiFiMAN Sundara, how is the bass of the Aune AR5000? Is it stronger or weaker? And by how much?"

    • @DeepSouthAudioReviews
      @DeepSouthAudioReviews  10 дней назад +1

      If we’re just talking about bass, the Sundara has “more” of it, but I think the AR5000 is a better headphone across the board for my tastes. Much better built and more comfortable.
      If you already have the Sundara and like them, it might make more sense to upgrade to another hifiman like the Arya stealth though.

    • @stefu4396
      @stefu4396 10 дней назад +1

      @DeepSouthAudioReviews the sundara is okay but have a slight pick at 9khz.
      The build quality of my sundara was terrible i have replace theme to time.
      I need to decide between the fiio ft1 pro, Aune ar5000 ant the Sennheiser hd490pro 🤷‍♂️.

      @@stefu4396I haven’t heard the 490s, but from a build quality standpoint, it’s more of a sidegrade to go from Sundara to FT1 pro. I do think they’re a sonic improvement, but unless you can only spend $200, I would go with the AR5000

    Hey I know you mentioned the FT1 and that you returned them but curious on how youd compare em to the AR5000 (ik very diffrent) the really seem to be the hot cans of this year

    • @DeepSouthAudioReviews
      @DeepSouthAudioReviews  8 дней назад

      Yeah, I’ll be honest, I’m a little confused by how hyped up they are. To me, they sound like what my Sony WH1000XM4s sound like after I EQ them, which is to say, fine enough, but still can’t overcome some of the normal closed back pitfalls. Congested sounded, too harsh of treble, and muddy bass. It also could be the type of music I listen to, which is usually pretty intricate prog metal, post hardcore, emo/hardcore, or indie rock. If your primary genres are pop adjacent, I think it handles that much better (FiiO even allude to this on the press release of the Pro, talking about where each headphone excels).
      It is worth pad rolling though. I switched out the pads of the Pro onto the FT1 and it was a significantly better experience. The only difference is that the Pro pads are perforated on the inside.
      My take on the FT1 is that it is good for the money and IF you need a closed back, and you are fine with pad rolling to get the best possible sound out of it. I’m just not really at a point where I want to mess around with a closed back that much. I like open backs, and if I need to be quiet I just use IEMs. If I go back to a full time in office job, I’d probably just get the Aune SR7000 instead.

    What EQ do you use for the AR5000? Did you say in another video it's using a DT 770 EQ?

    • @DeepSouthAudioReviews
      @DeepSouthAudioReviews  6 дней назад +1

      No, I can understand the confusion though. I probably said oratory1990. It’s a person on Reddit who measures headphones and creates EQs for them to align with the Harman curve. His subreddit is just called r/oratory1990 if you wanna check it out.

    Among Aune AR5000, Meze 105 AER, and HD600, which one has a better mid-range presentation (natural timbre and voclas)?
    How woud you rank them?

    • @DeepSouthAudioReviews
      @DeepSouthAudioReviews  7 дней назад +1

      Midrange isn’t my priority, overall tonal balance is. The HD600 has the best midrange presentation of the 3, but it is my least favorite due to lack of bass and too laid back of a treble. I would rank them AR5000 > 105 AER > HD 600 for my preferences. AR5000 and 105 AER are very close to me.

    • @MoonshineBeforeSunshine
      @MoonshineBeforeSunshine 7 дней назад

      @DeepSouthAudioReviews Thanks for the response.
      I want an alternative to the HD600 series for better bass (extension) and treble, but I don't want to sacrifice the mids. In that sense, do you think that the AR5000 is better than 105 AER?

    • @DeepSouthAudioReviews
      @DeepSouthAudioReviews  7 дней назад +1

      @@MoonshineBeforeSunshineI think the AR5000 would be better for your specific situation. I think the 105 AER might be a little too close to the HD600 in mids and treble to really provide a big enough difference in presentation to warrant having both.

    • @MoonshineBeforeSunshine
      @MoonshineBeforeSunshine 7 дней назад +1

      @@DeepSouthAudioReviews I don't have a HD600. I just know its strong suit is the midrange. I want its midrange, but I don't want to sacrifice the rest of the frequency response.
      Instead of having said an alternative to the HD600, I should have said a substitute. My mistake, man.
      That's why I was concerned with which has the better midrange presentation among all these headphones.
      Now that I don't have the HD600, which one do you think is the better substitute for it?
      Edit: I've also been looking at the FR graphs of all of them, and on the graphs, the AR5000 looks better in the midrange frequencies. But, some of the reviewers from Europe are saying that the AR5000 lacks "note weight" compared to the 105 AER. It's all become really confusing.

    Great video! Thank you. By the way... I just received a Capra strap for my Fiio FT1 Pros. It's not dramatically better for me personally but the FT1 Pros were already comfortable enough for me as is. I wore them (the FT1 Pros) for over 4hrs just yesterday and almost forgot that they were on. Mind you, I consider myself to have a big head (hahaha). A quick note on sound quality: I have listened to HD 6XX, DT 770 Pro, and HE400se headphones. These FT1 Pros are better than all of them in my opinion. Spaciousness of the Beyerdynamics, detail of the Hifimans, and warmth of the Sennheisers. They are fantastic for $199. And with all of the accessories they come with? Amazing deal. Lastly, the FT1 Pros need minimal, if any, EQ on my MacBook Air. And they pair fantastic with my iFi Hip DAC.

    First of all, good content, thank you for helping choosing between these two.
    From other reviews, I already understood that both are easy to drive... but sometimes I'll need to use them without amp. Can you tell me which one is to prefer for this reason alone?

    • @DeepSouthAudioReviews
      @DeepSouthAudioReviews  11 дней назад +2

      The AR5000 is easier to drive. I also find its sound changes less depending on source. The FT1 Pro seems to scale “better” but maybe that’s it being able to get to a good volume on most DAC/amps, but to get the most out of it you want something with some power.
