  • This video is the first 2021 Trail Cam Video continuing from the same location as the four I posted in 2020. It contains wildlife clips for their winter activity from late December through February along a creek that runs on my property near Lincoln Nebraska. Highlights include deer sparring as the bucks practice for next fall's battle for herd dominance. There are also lots of snowy scenes featuring coyotes, raccoons, squirrels, opossum, mink (might be a weasel) and lots of deer. Seeing these animals survive in winter makes me thankful I don't have to go through that.

Another great video! I definitely need to up my game. I'm focused mainly on deer for my own knowledge, but will be switching to catch all kinds of critters.

A predator must have marked the tree for the doe to react like that or maybe it cracked a bit due to the instability of it.

“Doe, a deer, a female deer”. Do you think a beaver(s) carved into that tree?

Yes, beavers carved into that tree. To see and hear the beaver chewing that tree find my channel (search Larry Peterson trail cam) and select “Trail Cam Videos 1”, then space forward to 16 minutes 20 seconds. Thanks.

how did you make a video from winter 2021 when it's only fall ? Time machine or maybe typo. We like your videos. Another from Vancouver Island (Langford) BC

Okay, flux capacitor is broken so I can’t blame the time machine, so the problem is with my wording. Maybe could of said “It’s winter time in early 2021…”

So the tree doesn't make any noise if no one is around to hear it

We’re is beaver that gnawed that tree

The large beaver that gnawed on that tree can be seen on my Trail Cam Video Vol 1 at 16 minutes 21 seconds and Vol 2 at 00:51, but that was back in 2020 and although the beavers still show up they don’t chew on it anymore. That tree is still standing and they’ve downed 4 or 5 other nearby large trees since then, but unfortunately I haven’t been able to get any videos of them in action.

@@larrypeterson3375 excellent - thank-you, we have beavers here about a mile out of Boston, love to see them. I have 25 acres up in north Vermont, would love to get one those wi-fi connected trail cams but internet connection is spotty up there
