Newsflash: if it’s a threat to hospitals it’s a threat to the public

I agree! Some people really need medical help right now and this fungal infection is hindering that.

    • @kid623
      @kid623 5 лет назад +8

True but based on what they said a typically healthy person isn't at risk, just people weak enough to be in a hospital and people with medical equiptment to transport the fungus directly into their body. It's something the hospitals need to look out for but ordinary people shouldn't panic.

There used to be a time when hospital rooms were routinely scrubbed top to bottom. Even though resistance is a newer phenomenon, it does not help that our medical care is so sloppy.

^ THIS ^ And you can thank their in house LAZY AZZ janitors & techs. Once when I was working that field the cleaning "supervisor" who was shadowing me instructed me NOT to bother "scrubbing" the inside of the toilet because it was "only gonna get dirty again." These people do BARE MINIMUM with prepping the rooms in-between patients - and you better believe these hospital rooms are knee deep in contagious pathogens. that includes spores, viruses, bacteria and FUNGUS.

I used to suffer from cysts and athletes foot. Took apple cider vinegar with bicarbonate of soda in a glass of distilled water and cured myself completely within a few weeks. This stuff is amazing and I never catch any colds or viruses since taking it and should imagine it's highly effective against all fungi. If I caught this candida auris I think my protocol would be to fast for about 7 days whilst taking apple cider vinegar/baking soda drink 3 times a day. Also, take Vit D3, Magnesium and Vit K daily and a good probiotic. And, sugar, after the fast, would be drastically reduced.

i worked in hospitals & other medical facilities for years and ALWAYS worried about right cleanliness nocosomial infections, etc.
i've said for decades: there should be laws, including all facilities must have a *dedicated, certified* 24 hr. cleaning teams, scheduled aerosol disinfectant room, hallways, closets/storage room treatments because UV lights can miss shadowed areas, cracks & crevices..allá vente/venting systems (AC/heating, etc) should also be aerosol treated regularly..so much is not done correctly in this regard, the *stories* i could tell!
the health of paitents, staff, visitors BY LAW should note be left in the hands of exhausted other staff or overworked janitors because facility CEO's, CFO's & other admins are cheap, trying to cut financial budget corners..android that guy is *ridiculohands, what's his agenda because i had to take a very heavy & memorable microbiology course + the accompanying lab training and: a 20 seconds hand washing is NOT long enough! with the right kind of soap, getting to both the hands & fingernails and part of the lower arms, one needs at least 30 to 60 seconds to wash - then one needs to properly dry the hands, etc.. so it concerns me greatly that he's promoting 20 seconds only for washing hands.
so much more i could say on this but not enough hours hour in a day. 😐

I had candida before and it was awful. I would pray everyday that it go away. I used tree tee oil extract in my shampoo to treat it but you have to change your lifestyle until it’s gone but even then it might come back. If you eat a lot of sugar then you better change that quickly. Drink lots of water and eat fresh vegetables. This won’t be difficult because when you have this you will do anything to get rid of it.

A basic understanding of what most effective methods of destroying the walls of fungus proteins, is what one needs to understand. Are there still books in your local library?

Are you immune compromised? Because that’s who’s becoming infected! Long-term patients who maybe ventilator dependent, or have indwelling catheters, central line catheters, IV’s, urinary catheters, trachs, immobilized, etc as well as acutely ill patients from traumas or sudden illness and conditions. These populations have always been at higher risk for these superbugs…sadly. You can’t self-treat for this fungus anymore than you can self-treat for a super bacteria infection like MRSA or all the other highly virulent pathogens out there. Your specialists are the ones who have the knowledge to try and treat this stuff…and it’s an ongoing battle as pathogens build resistance after repeated exposure to anti-fungal medications or if a bacteria, antibiotics, etc. It’s really a matter of prevention by keeping yourself healthy as possible regardless…your priority…right?! Keeping hospitals, care centers, medical equipment clean is harder due to staffing shortages especially now with waves of Covid occurring. Also over prescribing antifungal meds or not completely course of treatment also contribute. This fungus supposedly originated from Japan in 2009, so if you want more info you just have to start digging for it…this is just a brief news report so I wouldn’t expect much. So take good care of your health to prevent having to go into these facilities and having to have invasive procedures!

Lives for months on surfaces etc.
My son caught it from his roomate in a nursing home,
Nursing home did not seperate the man and son didnt know till later. Both have passed away. My son had other problems but im sure the c- diff contributed to his health issues as he had to be on heavy duty antibiotics for months.😣😥😣😥

As you know, Dental Assistants and Hygienists work alongside the Dentist. When they "prep" the instruments (which are usually on a - hopefully - "sterilized tray"), they are supposed to be GLOVED UP with STERILE GLOVES - the kind used in surgeries. EVERYTHING, the gloves, the instruments, including the tray should be considered "a STERILE field" - EXACTLY like during a surgical procedure. If that sterile field is broken, meaning it has become compromised and UNSTERILE elements have been introduced - the sterile field is breeched - the PATHOGENS are introduced into, and onto the sterile field, and that, in addition to anybody else responsible for maintaining/operating/supervising the AUTOCLAVE which is supposed to "sterilize" the instruments.. that are NOT maintaining STERILE techniques at ALL times - have not only "failed" in their duty to safeguard the patients having invasive procedures - they can and WILL put people's lives on the line. these PATHOGENS are invisible and don't really manifest UNTIL we are fighting for our lives with things like flesh eating MERSA, E. Coli, Legionnaires, Candida Auris, etc.
Sloppy Lazy People don't "care" and don't "think". On top of THAT there are psychos, sociopaths, covert narcissistic passive aggressive malcontents with an "ax to grind".
Try not to make people jealous...
