Well, the new thermal paste definitely made a big difference. In Fortnite the CPU was pretty much pegged at 3.8 GHz and 85 Celsius. In HALO you got 4.2-4.3 GHz and around 82 C.
I own a 11400f and out of the box the motherboard set the CPU as 65w and under load it would throttle from 4.2ghz to 3.8ghz while being about 64C. I use a program called XTU to set the CPU to its maximum of 125w and it no longer throttles. I wouldn't recommend this if you have a stock cooler, I'm running a hyper 212 RGB which is so much better than the stock intel cooler.

I don't think gaming/streaming/video editing builds are talked about enough. Also, I get that fortnite & overwatch are popular games but they don't push hardware to the limit. Can we get more variety of games to test builds (and no more cyberpunk please) that every channel isn't using? Keep up the good work. Thanks again guys!
I bought the same PC about a year ago & the i511400F just seems to run a little warm. The temps I get are in that mid 80’s C range & I haven’t had any issues.
@@jponz85 The difference is that the 1xxx series was Pascal architecture but the 1660TI is turing like the 2xxx series, It's basically a 2060 without the micro amount of ray tracing

Bought one of these Asus ROG Strix prebuilts with a Ryzen 5 3400 CPU and Nvidia 1650 card. As soon as I tried to fire up a game, the system would drop the ethernet ports and USB ports and sound. It was like the entire southbridge was browning out when the GPU ramped up. Very repeatable. The OEM power supply was just not up to the load. I could have replaced the PSU but it was brand new pre-built so I simply RMAd it. Not a headache I needed.
Deal's still ongoing. The 1660 Ti is pretty much the a 3050 with less VRAM and no RT/DLSS/FG. It is however a great mid/high settings card. Definitely a great deal at $380.
I just built my first PC in July, put a 6800 XT in and been super happy. Been keeping up with computer videos since I built mine and I’m amazed at how far the GPU’s have come in the last 5-6 years!

On low setting yes. Starfield will probably be a little better optimised in the future as well which will help. Practice with the settings at first and it will be good
I don't understand the difference I have a 10400f with a stock cooler and a gtx 1080ti and even in full load it doesn't hit 70c and I have a cheap 40$ case but it has 4 fans 3 ins 1 exhaust !

I found a i7 7700 and rx 570 4gb in fb marketplace for 800$ but normally here a r5 2600x and gtx 1660 is about 300-400 (am from the phillipines btw so theres so much good deals)
Philippines is expensive for electronics. Used to make good money sending them here. Prices always 125percent minimum more but usually 150percent or more. Chromebooks I could dbl back in the day. Now it's half more not counting shipping. Taxes are insane here.
Newbie here. But can someone verify.. the 1660TI is about the strongest GPU that runs from the motherboard without requiring a power connection to the power supply?
They are about the same in performance different sockets though so make sure you get the one that your motherboard supports. The 8700K also has built in graphics if that matters to you. The 11400F is more energy efficient.
lol, I only paid $510 for my setup, it is a dual xeon e5 2650l v4, 64gb ddr4 2133 ECC registered memory paired with a GTX 1080 8gb, I can play pretty much anything maxed out

That thing is getting worse fps than an i7 7700 from 2017. Also those temps are stupid high. its 100% thermal throttling. Needs a $30 dual tower cooler from amazon like the peerless assasin.

Can you underclock it?
Had this issue with 11400F, only on stock cooler. Then i switched to Endorfy Fortis 5 ARGB and no matter how much i put on CPU it wont go over 70'C.
The 1660 ti was a really nice card when it launched (still is). I had the EVGA sc ultra and it did a fantastic job for me
Seems like a solid card even still now. 10series cards have aged well

Great price for this Rig... In Australia this PC costs around $1499. It comes with 32gb Ram, AMD R7 3700x or i7 11700 KF with a RTX 3060 GPU.
This needs a better cooler. Just a cheap tower will do the job.
