I went to Bosnia in 2000 as part of UK peace keeping force and fell in Love with this country watching this video makes me want to compete in this avent. Not to win it although would be nice too but to be part and travel this outstanding Country once again. I love 🇧🇦 such great memories
Thank you for your comment, you should definitely do it, it is a great way to explore the country and the event is really well organised. You have the ultra race but also the brevet and the time limit is good so you have time to enjoy the landscapes and amazing sceneries.
I thought about participation in this race, but your video totally convicted me :) Hopefully next year I will be at the starting line. Great effort and result from both of you.
Amazing energy and enthusiasm! You makes these long rides look easy! I'm preparing for my first 200 brm on September 4 and came across your channel. Thanks a ton for sharing this with our community. Respect from India.
Sherry, I’ve only recently come across your cycling videos and this one is amazing. You are so tough, strong, powerful & I couldn’t do what you do although I would like to. Never stop doing content for us as it gives us inspiration & motivation X😊
Thanks :) happy to hear that, they have a lot of cool brevets in their calendar, I leave the link to their events if you are interested www.randonneurs.nl/kalender-2022/
@@Buzzalong.cycling yeah I had already found that in September I'll ride one close to the town I live now (Valkenswaard brm 200) next year I'll think and try get a super brevet as it looks like a really nice goal with the 600 km from Wemeldinge towards the area around Dunkirk as highlight!
@@sergeversluis9640 thats great to hear ! it is a really nice experience and a good way to put yourslef a goal, I sign up myself today for one in Luxemburg this moth. Have fun :)
I just love these videos. They are so inspiring. I - almost - wish I'd found this channel before Unbound XL lottery closed (or maybe not!) For sure I am thinking of doing a (short) ultra more than ever now!
Many thanks :) I am really happy to hear you enjoy the videos and the channel. Waooo Unboound XL, sounds like a really cool challenge, I would like to do it one day. Good luck with you events ^^
Wow the celebrity cyclist 🤩💯 You're truly inspiring 🤟 Keep rocking and do inspire more amateurs! Also I have this question for so long, why do you have two Garmin devices? 😋 And thanks for this amazing video, and you know this is Partha🤝
Many thanks :) that sounds great, I really like brevets, 400 km is a good distance, you can start with shorter ones and the build up to the longer distances
Sure when you finished your 400km you can do also 1200. The importance is managing; food, sleep and a good spirit. Everyone is gonna feel shit somewhere in those 400km, but it is keep going managing the shitness, maybe just go a little bit slower but always keep pedaling. When I met @buzzalong at CP6 after the night she was shit like hell but still she managed to go to cp7 another 100km.
Great video Sherry 👍. Thanks for sharing the experience, warts and all. Congrats on your achievement of winning the pairs race. Seems like you also had to deal with a fair share of encounters with angry, cyclist hating dogs, arrrg!
You should! its a great event and the organisation is outstanding, theres a lot flights to the local airport and they even provide information about the airlines flying there in their website. Wizzair was good, did not have any issues with my bike :)
Many thanks for your comment, the only thing about flying with the bike is that sometimes at the airport they might ask you to remove the the Di2 battery, but lately I had no issues with that. I use a hard case to transport my bike to avoid damages, the B&W bike.box II is great and very easy to use.
thank you so much! really glad to hear you want to join this amazing website. I flew from Dusseldorf to Banja Luka. On B-hard website they have a lot of info of airlines flying directly there
Thanks! 😃 yes got a new bike for the race, will make a video about it ^^ found that having a gravel bike as all road its quite useful for this kind of events.
Got registered for next year Brevet! Thanks for that because i didn't knew that race! The landscape seems incredible. How do you manage your Batteries? Between the lights, the bike computers and phone, i always struggle with the one or the other. Front/Back lights on, 2nd Front/Back Lights charging. After 2 Days, my powerbank is running out of juice. Do you take a fast charger with you and charge in hotels?
Wahoo, really happy to hear that :)I am sure you will have a great time, the event and organization are amazing! I had two front and rear lights, a Garmin Computer, and an anker 20000mah power bank. I only had to stop once at a hotel to charge my devices, I normally carry two Anker quick USB chargers with me, good thing about B-hard is that some of the checkpoints were in hotels where you can stay or charge your devices. Good luck for next year 🚲
This bike was really easy to assemble ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
Great feat guys, well done! great scenery and off-the-beaten path race! roads didn't look like very smooth, was it ok with 25mm tyre (or you have 28/30mm?)? any chance you have tyre recommendation and do you inflate them each day for race or is it fine not to for 4 days? thanks for the tips!
Many thanks for your comment Alan, most roads were good but sometimes there was construction. I saw people with 25mm tyres during the race but I ride 30mm at the front at 32mm at the back for comfort, they are tubeless tyres and they were good without having to inflate them until the finish, so around 3 days. The best tyres I tried so far are the Continental grand prix 5000 s. Hope is helpful :)
