If they win in any state ( Kerala ), they impose extreme checks and balances on private corporations, and try to take everything under state control.
This does improve the healthcare and education of the state, but it also scares away private corporations, thus creating unemployment. It is sustainable if the state receives funding from outside, but not if the state needs to generate its own revenue.

Growing up in a communist state, I can say onething, Communism is not for the weak hearted, a left chairman must rule with an iron fist, using terror and discipline if needs be. USSR was strongest under Stalin who used terror and splintered under the liberal Gorbachev. Similarly under Jyoti Basu, no one in Bengal had the guts to question the government, unless you wanna go missing, under the liberal Buddhadeb Dasgupta, the party crumbled and withered away. If the All India Communist party's reigns would've been given to Basu instead of this clown, India would've been a red country today.

Well I grew up in calcutta west bengal, I have seen ups and downs of communism in west bengal. I carry huge respect for Jyoti Basu, Buddhadeb Bhattacharya and other political leaders like subhas Chakrabarti, Anil Biswas, somnath somnath Chatterjee. Well I grew up in a left culture. Anyway I am not a member of any Communist parties.
Honestly saying why communism faild in India because of there are too many roots, division, too many parties, like CPI/CPM, too many democratic front, forword Bloc, even there are too many labour unions as well.
So it's a hell of a confusion. You guys need to change this. In current situation updation is much required.
You have to aligned in one.
You guys need to be more nationalist, I never seen any communist leaders like sitaram yachuri, Prakash Karat, Jyoti basu, Vijayan, D.Raja, Buddhadeb Bhattacharya never comments on Indian defence, Army. Like Cuba, Vietnam, china do.

India can not be developed without aggressive economic programs. We need all sorts of reforms but while doing this i pray for the presence of strong communist leaders. I know communism is useless when given power to implement development programs but what they are good at is pointing at faults and raising issues that affects the common man on ground level who is residing in bharat and aspires to be a part of india.

The kerala goverment itself formed KIIFB a formed state registered company and taking foreign investment to build infrastructures. But CPI(M) opposed fdi in certain sectors mainly for central owned sectors recently coal mining sectors.
I studied about Cuba, recently Venezuela , they nationalize all private firms socialist model by Chavez, without analysing properly, but failed ultimately due to deep steap in oil in world market , America,CIA imperialism.

Communism isliye fail hui bcz Human nature me greed hai. Kisi country ke resources uske har citizen me equally divided hone chahiye ye communism ka main point hai but ye practical nahi h and ideal hai I know that.

It's interesting how Mr yechury is blaming rss (@12:55) for converting india to a hindu rashtra by throwing out democracy and secularism(which i believe is somewhat true) but does not mention his own ideology of the communists which wants to overthrow democracy by revolution(i.e. complete violence). Hypocrisy at it's best.
We communist always stand for democracy but Liberal Democracies are democracy only for the Rich.....That is why so many "democratic" governments have such high economic inequality....Like your role model USA

Democracy allows room for various ideologies to have a say among the masses, which is why communists hate it, cause they don't want any ideology other than their own( I don't blame them only, basically every ideology thinks the same way).

Common comment and belief - communism is good but we can’t practically apply it so it fails all the time like in china n all. Nothing is perfect we will see impacts of capitalism after 20-30 yrs when largest democracy in the world have a huge gap in capital between some rich people and majority poor people. Then we will say what’s the option for poor people in this country then communism as a concept we will surely miss. Best option is always a balance between them and show them we vote for a person who do good for society not for there agenda of hindutva or communism.
