The big problem United have is creating chances in the penalty area and scoring enough goals. For 45 minutes today United had just one shot, none on target. Similar last week. The slow defensive football Ten Hag plays is not enough. If Ten Hag is going to keep his job he will need to send out a team that can create chances, lots of chances, and score goals, lots of goals. The signings this season all look good. Understanding the team selection today is impossible though. United definitely need a 20+ goal a season forward, that is clear.

Mr. O’Neill. You have hard time to really spit out the truth. The truth is Ten Hag is not a good manager for a club as massive as Manchester United. He doesn’t have tactics and his team selection is so poor. He doesn’t get it. Why sign De Ligt when you know Maguire is error prone? Why didn’t he play Zirkzee, a proven striker and a player who has a good understanding of the game and the penalty area in general. Why is Casemiro doing all of this silly tackles or lunges when it’s clear to see that he can’t reach the ball or out possess an opponent player? He was caught out of possession doing that multiple times. So, if you can’t blame the manager for the tactics and game plan, then you are just not as good as Ten Hag is, although your job must have been easier since you are analyzing the game sitting on your sofas.
