One of the reasons for the batteries nowadays being non removable is precisely so that the battery can swell unchecked until destroying your phone. Make no mistakes; manufacturers are by no means your friends. What they want is for you to keep buying their product, so they strive to keep a balance in their models so that they can be reliable but not excessively so, otherwise you may see no reason to change it. Be as it may, current Cell Phones are certainly _not_ built to last forever, whatever the brand may be. They're not _Telefunkens_ . Another approach is to harass the owner to make update after update, so the phone will be bloated as soon as possible. _Do not_ oblige, unless forced to. Many of these updates are totally useless or downright harmful to your model. Bottom line, do not trust manufacturers; Use common sense.
I have seen three cases of swolen iPhone 3gs and 4 batteries. It always happened after trying to charge the phone which has been left in a drawer for months or years. It never exploded, just the gas is built slowly during charging but the battery is basically flat so it can't explode. This expansion can destroy the motherboard or LCD. Batteries can explode, though (it looks more like burning), if there is internal short circuit due to bad battery design, manufacturing defect or physical damage (like putting a nail in a fully charged battery) - there are videos of that on RUclips. Bottom line, swolen battery after charging is the price to pay for just putting the phone in a drawer and not using it. :P

I had three known cases of swollen batteries only, and God knows I own an obscene number of cell phones because there is no used Market for them, in Western Europe at least: the original one in my Samsung J5 16, which swell after 6 years of use, kept working wonderfully but was replaced nevertheless, if only because it was pressing out the battery cover and could break its hooks; and both original batteries from both my Blackberry Q10s after nine years of use. They were immediately removed and new batteries ordered but I'm not sure if I will return these devices to service as they offer so little nowadays. One of these batteries was incredibly swollen, it had made a bump in the battery lid that was hidden by the case back. Fortunately the batteries were removable, otherwise woe of me and my Q10s!
I use old cellphones as security cameras. So I have 6 phones a little older than 10 years. They are cameras so they are plugged in all the time plus they sit in windows. 5 of them bulged this last year. I’m hoping to hack a tiny cheap battery in because the original battery now costs more than getting a newer phone.
Apple's popularity has made fast charging a necessity. Virtually all makers have made the battery non removable. Fast charging will degrade the battery substantially. You'll need to charge only to 80% and no lower than 40%. Tedious and time consuming, yes. Change the USB charger to a much lower current version. Example, the charger is rated at 2A (2000mA), change to a charger that is around 0.4A (400mA). Charge time will greatly increase. Standalone battery chargers for products with removal batteries, the procedure is the same. Having no charge percentage indicator, remove/stop the charge when charge is finished, do not keep charging. The lower charge rate will help prevent over charging.
Yeah, great advice. On my Samsung phone, I guess on all android devices, you can turn off fast charging so, from charging your phone in an hour you will charge it in three hours, but your battery will last so much longer.

I can relate to this video so much because this happened a couple of years ago, I think it was back in the summer of 2020 when one of my brothers gave me his old used Iphone 6 because he was getting a new upgraded phone, but the battery was completely dead and I couldn't use it yet till it got fixed, and I remember taking it to an electronics repair place and they put in a new battery and a brand new screen, everything was going ok with it for a little while but then a couple of months after having this Iphone, I noticed that it started coming apart on the side, the screen was popped out and this device would get really hot when it was charging and just randomly shut down at times, so I stopped using this Iphone because If I continued to use it, the battery could of exploded and there would of been further damage to this phone and some toxic gases and fumes being released, I was so upset and disappointed that I was given an old defective iphone and I wasn't told right away that something was wrong with it. It's like I literally got scammed with this broken phone even though someone in my family gave it to me 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡📱📱📱📱📱📱📱📱📱📱📱📱📱📱 And now I know to never buy or get used electronic devices from anybody because what ever it is whether it's a phone, an ipad or a laptop it could have a faulty battery or be seriously damaged

now i know thanks brother
Sir,does charging my phone twice a day could age my phone battery quickly?😅
If you need to charge your phone twice a day, then it's already aged.
I leave a battery discharged but not happened to OPPO a53
Well, it's not certain that it will happen, the probability though increases if you leave batteries sitting around discharged.
This happened to my old phone tho
They said it was over used
There are steps that you can take to improve the longevity of your battery: ruclips.net/video/u-CWMEBIRxY/видео.html
my drone battery is a bit swollen and a replacement would cost almost the same as the drone
Well, if it's only a bit swollen, use it until it stops working.
Im terrified of my phone now
lol you shouldn't unless it's getting fat :D
Yeah don't leave your phone in your pocket while working and having it run youtube or farming on an idling game
I do that all the time, but yeah it could cause problems long term.
@@LiudasButkus Before my phone got a little bit bulky looking, had it in my pocket When suddenly i felt it get a bit hot
That would Work untill you have Money to replace the Battery but i would only Poke a Hole and tape up the Battery out of my phone Untill i Find a Perfect day to Get a New Battery but untill its not going to solve the problem basically if you goanna poke a hole in the battery its still A Weapon and its a Bomb but can last for a Week or Two untill Phone Death ☠️
Battery never explodes dont worry iam battery engineer at Toshiba
Oh really? Then why did my old phone get hot and catch fire back in high school?
I have an idea
Remove the cover entirely
all i did was sit on my phone and it exploded, how theres a hole in my pants..
lol someone should have recorded that
but it felt so good i farted, the smell of the fart would have killed the camera..

My two phone is good Hahahahahaha 😂😂😂😂

My phone shut down at 96% battery Micromax
could be the battery, though is it bloated?
My phone battery did the same thing, I purchase a replacement battery.
how much did it cost
Umm.. what do you mean so can i still use my swollen phone after i change my battery if it's possible?
Yeah sure if the battery doesn't damage other parts.
When i got a swollen battery, my screen started to separate from the rest of my phone, which was a shame
The force of swollen is strong.
Mine is the back 😞
Just noticed my Nintendo 3ds battery is swollen!

Hello.I have a battery swollen or it was, for wherever reason is not anymore. Is it ok if I try to use it?(and it was a bit swollen)

My brothers is swollen
Will the phone still work thought right after a swollen battery? (I think my phone started getting fater ,it still works thought and l want to know if l it's just my imagination or the battery actually started getting swollen)
It will work but through expansion eventually it could damage the phone
And how long does this usually take to be happen after the swollen battery?(l have one of the new phones that they don't have removable batteries)
@@JohnLempidakis well dont risk it, just change the battery. Integrated battery usually means that its screwed in so just take it to a specialist
my brand new iphone 13 did this bro😢
that's sad
I buyed my phone 2 or 3 years ago, it is a HUAWEI P Smart Pro, the battery got swallen sooo much that the case behind it that keeps the battery covered, got glued off, and is holding onto the phone only on one end while the other is completely off, i currently have no moeny to afford a new phone but i desperatelly need to keep in contact because of work, do you have any advice on how to keeo using it just for a little bit longer, or do you think its too dangerous and i have to stop using the phone?
Well changing the battery could be cheaper than a new phone. Though just as well you could find a phone in the second hand market for very cheap as well.
Mine is 3 month pregnant but still using it😁😁
Good luck with that :D
🤣
My iPhone 13 is swelling after 6 months and have to get it replaced :(
Even my one it's a Samsung

Don't play with destiny :D
Imma try it tho
Mine is a oppo A7 and the screen is popping of because the battery is getting bigger please help how?
Change the battery.
Liudas Butkus I have an iPad Mini 4 and my screen is popping out the frame. If I change the battery with an original Mini 4 battery, will the screen be back to normal, as in within the frame?
@@diamond-heart21 hard to tell once a part is bent its hard to unbend it.
I just discovered My old iPod touch had a swollen battery, and it damaged the whole thing. Should I throw the whole thing away?
Well it depends how much it would cost to fix it. Its likelly it would be cheaper to buy a new one
well my tab is 6 year old and it stated swelling
change it :)
Please reply, my phone was swollen and I didn’t do anything about it. It been swelling about two or more week, and now it go down. Omg someone tell me what to do, should I be scared???
There are likely gaps inside your battery and the current can't flow, just change your battery.
