Cable Car Plummets in Italy
Our hearts go out to these folks, terrible tragedy. Bless the lone child survivor .
This is why i tell people NOT to rock the effing car.
It's got to do with Italy... sorry... More concerned over money..... been there.
That happened to me in Colorado. We got stuck over the mountains for an hour ( it was terrifying) and people were swaying it back and fourth laughing like it was a joke, I will never get on one again.
Apparently you learned from your loser mistake.
😆 🤣

To have survived Covid 19 until now to just plunged to their deaths while vacationing. How can someone expect the unexpected??? 😭😭 Bless their souls. Que cosa mas triste y espantosa a la vez.
Wow one child survived so scary
He lost all his family😢
So sad for the people who lost their life.
God bless these people..
But please pray for gun violence, war, and victims of the oppressed, everywhere

I engage YT to thought provoke. Without pondering the mistakes we've made globally, we're destined to repeat them. My people are the result of good and bad decisions, individually, and by the Governing bodies.. using #empathy is easy, when "you don't want your brother to receive punishment, for simply living!"
Pray for my community in America, as well.. urbanites n minorities are 🐑 to the slaughter. Everyday, in everyway✊🏽✊✊🏿
@@c.h.5510 lol look at youuu. Just love being a victim, don’t ya?
So if a drunk driver kills someone it ruins their life. What happens when the city or state fails 14 people? We all just move on?
To that knowledge have they held accountable those U.S airforce pilots?
@@samo619 The ones back from 1998? The US government would have paid the claims to the families. Nato or the Pentagon would have decided if the pilots face punishment.
@Karson C yeah families are payed off but does anyone really get blamed in the end? I mean you have to put your head into the scene of the accident to understand my position, 14 dead people in a cart is basically a murder scene. If 14 people get murdered they'd go to court for years and waste tons of money over one case. Idk I'm kinda high the world feels messed up right now
That is so sad about that accident and those deaths and it probably could have been prevented if more maintenance had been done on the system while the country was in a lockdown due to the COVID virus.
my absolute worst fear.
I don't like riding in those.
🙏🙏🙏
Sounds like safety was not followed correctly… I mean everything needs to be checked and reviewed.
The last check was in 2020...I hope the investigation shows what went wrong.
car ride on the ground pulled by the cable that is higher , wheels on the car , fell trees to make a dirt track . mechanism to stop the car from rolling down if cable fails, not one big car but many one person cars or for families up to five ppl cars , some would not want to be in a car but just walking up with walking speed cable pull assistance holding a handlebar for that maybe pulling near straigth up , would be an easy walk. or could use bike , did it on a ski lift. . other wire maybe moving that holds a line for safety if big car in air and roof of it opens easy in middle if needed when it falls pps heads push roof open and ppl dangle on the safety line.. about rust. wonder if cable greased internally on assembly will it dry out over time, need solvent then thin floating grease to impregnate it that becomes more solid soon by drying, or is it enough to grease it well on outside how often , automaticy by every trip a little , weekly montly yearly would be too seldom mabe . cover w plastic to stp rain w not in use.for months. .deterioration occurred through two principal mechanisms, namely, external and internal fatigue, which is caused by bending over sheaves or drum windings and crushing, which is caused by multilayer drum spooling..finally a good idea, airbags , but not under the car but inside the car under the people, airbags maybe too complex but just a thick floor made from soft but stiff enough bouncy material and the car would have to be higher or rather lower to accomedate for it . so car would hit hard but ppl wuld not feel that hardness of fall cos then right after ppl would hit floor that has a semi hard plate but moves down when hit, and all should have a helmet. sides roof could be soft build too if hit too. but cable holder on top of car is maybe heavy , might it turn car on way down . so try to design car to be falling straight down without turning , maybe some plates on top part to grab air act as stabeliser fins or tiny parachutes . maybe weigts under floor but thats not so good more tenison and costs of transport or .jæi
Matt Bradley needs to read a script as if he were telling a story to just one other person rather than reading it as if he were hosting a game show. The story is dramatic enough. He doesn't need to hype it a breathy read.
Getting so the best vacation is a subway ride to Coney Island. Opps, nix that.
Nothing on what the possible cause could be. What poor reporting.
We know for sure it wasn't an excess in weight as the car was at less than half capacity (covid restrictions). It seems, according to what I found on Italian news, that the likeliest cause was a malfunction of the secutiry system. One cable, the "pulling" one, snapped at the point of greatest traction. It is not clear if he snap was the cause of the issue itself, or if it snapped because of a malfunction elsewhere (possibly at the connection with the pylon) this is under investigation
There are "jaws" in place for that possibility, which clamp on so that the car doesn't move, but in this case it didn't work and the car slid down, crashed against one of the pylons, fell and rolled down part of the mountain (some of the people inside were thrown out in the process). The same jaws that didn't work for them DID work for the car behind them: had they failed, the other car would have had a similar fate. The people in the second car had to slide down cables with the help of the rescuers and are all ok.
Wrong car.
Not good.
Well definitely not going to Italy if they want to be cheap.
Probably the maintenance has no budget this year since they got overriden by Handling Coronavirus and Corruption.

Wtf?
Why is this here

Hmm Wonder if some person of interest for some autocratic regime were on that cable car. Seems to be the trend these days.

God bless the lives lost. I can't help but think this was terrorism when I heard half the car included Israel Nationalists.
Who's still wearing paper masks? Everyone's had covid already, and it's never going away.
