To be fair, it has to be said that Uwe Boll is one of the greatest producers there's ever been. I mean, look at the amount of high end actors he's had in his films! Granted, he got them at a bargain rate due to them being at some of the lower points in their careers, but still, it's impressive. And because of all the funding loopholes he's found, he always makes a fortune from them.

"You created it all so you could become immortal. Why?"

    Priceless delivery!
Video suggestion: Has anyone suggested this collection yet? The collection is called The Tiger Cage Trilogy. They're Hong Kong B Movies that, like No Retreat No Surrender 1 and 2, their plots aren't canon to each other. The Cantonese names are SWAT Dragon Force (Tiger Cage 1), Money Laundering (Tiger Cage 2), and Cold Blooded Sniper (Tiger Cage 3).
    The cast in the Trilogy:
The first two films star both Donnie Yen (Ip Man) and Carol 'Do Do' Cheng (Yes, that's her nickname. She is known for her part in Operation Condor). Though, they are different characters in both films.
The first film has Jacky Cheung (the top male idol in Hong Kong dubbed God of Songs getting his start in films like Where's Officer Tuba? starring Sammo Hung) and Simon Yam as the big bad of the first film Michael Huang (Man of Tai Chi and Ip Man).
The second film has Rosamund Kwan (Once Upon a Time in China), Cynthia Khan (In the Line of Duty 3 to 7 after Michelle Yeoh finished Yes Madam! and Royal Warriors), David Wu (From Hong Kong's MTV GO WEST), and Robin Shou as the big bad in the second film Waise Chow (Mortal Kombat, Forbidden Nights starring Melissa Gilbert, Honor and Glory, and the Hong Kong version of Undefeatable called Bloody Mary Killers).
I don't know much about the stars of the third film except that Michael Wong starred in Royal Warriors (The film that followed Yes Madam!) with Michelle Yeoh before her Oscar Promotion and Hiroyuki Sanada years before 47 Ronins and John Wick 4.

The German tax system used to allow investors to write off 100% of production costs, delay/reduce their tax burden and only pay taxes on the profits from a movie.
A wealthy German investor with a halfway competent accountant could use this system to make money from failure.

Fun fact about Uwe Boll: the reason he makes only bad films is because he was basically running a tax shelter in Germany for rich people. Germany had a law like in Mel Brooks' The Producers, where if you made a flop the investors could write off everything including projected profit, therefore a rich person could invest in an Uwe film and pay less in taxes, which is why Uwe Boll makes the worst movies he can on purpose. I can't remember if that is exactly how that tax law worked, but I know at the end of the day he was using his films to give tax breaks for rich people, that is the jist, pretty funny though, Boll is a legend! LOLZ

We rented it twice. I think my favorite part is when that hip hop song busts in during an action scene and then you realize the song is a HOTD original! That killed me. Excited to see how everyone reacts to this.

Uwe is a genius and utterly shameless! I think the game inserts were pure Product Placement in an environment that had zero product place opportunities. Jurgen Prochnow played Sutter Cane in the movie In The Mouth Of Madness and David/Jesus in the Demi Moore movie The Seventh Sign, a personal favorite!
