You can really see the difference in quality. I need to invest in a nice monitor like this soon to make my photography better. the level of detail is amazing

Played games m.u.d then wizardry series when they first came out,then zork,then pcs started to get sound cards sound blaster ect,then commodore 64@128 then amiga.you have a good channel debs xx ps and i loved ultima online when it first started too,and the days of the single speed external drive to play day of the tentacle.
Yeah I remember all those games, Wizardry was one of my favourites. I wasted my youth playing Ultima lol.

I know this is a gaming monitor, but how do you feel about it for work?
I’m hesitating between this, the Q32QC (32/1440/165) or the Samsung M7 monitor (32/4K/60)
I trade, so looking at charts is easier with bigger screens, but at the same time 4K resolution shows more on the screen. 🤔🤔
This will work great as a work monitor as well. If your budget permits having the higher refresh rates can be very beneficial. The Q32QC would be a better choice. For working with spreadsheets the screen size definitely helps.

It has a 1.2 DP so won't support HDR, did you use HDMI or DP? Thank you...
I'm using DP.
Perhaps now you can get a movie maybe from the library it was shot in 4k and watch it on that monitor.
Or perhaps even get a 4k camera so you can shoot in 4k.
I was surprised to see the Asus name on there and Tuff Gaming.
Makes me want to have one to go with my tough gaming motherboard.

Thank you for this unboxing and review :) Question, did you end up keeping this monitor and using it for gaming and other tasks? How is it so far? I am thinking about buying this monitor. Currently I am using 2x 1080p IPS 144hz monitors with freesync. Thank you :)
Yes, I'm using it as my main monitor for gaming and everything else. I am very happy with this monitor, its working great and would buy another without hesitation.

It is recent game got released on May 2 a few weeks ago. If you like 4X TBS fantasy games you might like it. I bought the game on PC via Gog and enjoying it. I use and sometimes play the previous Age of Wonders 3 and AOW Planetfall which is the sci-fi spin off of the series on Steam.

Yes, it has Display Colors : 1073.7M (10 bit) and it has DisplayPort 1.2 x 1 and HDMI(v2.0) x 2

@@leilavergerius9223 For gaming it's a toss up, but for digital art, I'd lean toward the Asus PA279CV I think it's better for this use.
Hi, what game visual picture settings do you use with this monitor? I've had it over a year but I still can't find a proper setting to use. Thanks
I'm still playing around with it so atm it's at the default settings but I did change the settings in game to take advantage of the monitor. Once I settle on what works best for me I'll try to do a follow up. Thanks

@@kaikaih5771 So Windows auto set things up in HDR which I turned off because with it on I couldn't make some changes in the Menu. Once I did that my settings are now HDR Off, Racing Mode, 2160P, Brightness & Contrast both 80, Color Temp Warm. Everything else is left at their Defaults. I do go into Game Settings to ensure games are running at the Resolution I want and any other settings I might want to chose for the particular game. Hope that helps some.

I'm currently looking into 4k 144Hz monitors IPS 10 bit HDR 600 or better DP 1.4 HDMI 2.1 are some of the general specs I'm looking for currently LG & Aorus/Gigabyte have a couple models on my short list
Yeah, I was going to try for 144Hz but the price went way up at that point. but there are some great choices out there. The one's you mentioned are great choices.

Great! The Acer cb282k uses the same 28inch panel. And it was a lot cheaper than this. I have ordered an Acer in india for the price equal to 275usd. I have one question for you. Is it makes the windows text unreadable on this 4k display due to higher ppi? Scaling makes the text blurred? How easy this monitor on your eyes
I have loved this monitor since I got it, everything is incredibly clear, I can read everything super clear with no issues. I have used this monitor for several hours at a time and no eye strain that I have noticed.

@@atf56 Sorry, not sure what scale you mean, I'm using default settings, sorry bit green on some of these things.
@@Reviewing_Playing_and_More_RPM in Windows settings , you can scale the icons ,texts, panels, bars all together or text alone without affecting the resolution for the easiness of our eyes.

No unfortunately but it does support FreeSync/Adaptive-Sync. I use an AMD GPU so for me it works great. Thanks

@@alanzayn7693 It will work on an NVidia GPU just don't think G-Sync will work, its still a great choice though.
It’s not officially supported but it works as per tomshardware

The M.2 is a terabyte or terabyte and a half.
I could not even open up my video editor you said there was not enough space available.
Omg I don't know what the deal is. I've got to send you a small picture or video of this so you can see what the heck is going on here. I'm going to try to do that tonight maybe you can help me figure this out.

Thanks Dennis I'm actually going to make it an unlisted RUclips video for you it's only is about 30 seconds long so you might have to pause it and look carefully to try to understand what I'm saying. When you see the red hard drive the one that is getting full perhaps you'll understand.
I believe it is the m.2 which needs to have more space allocated to it and I don't know how to do that.
