I'm playing Spiderman Miles on a PS5 with this exact monitor, just got it all set up today, and it's gorgeous. I would definitely recommend this monitor. I'm sure there are better monitors, but considering you're getting 4k at this price, it's going to be hard to beat.

@@he_wildn Ps5 and xbox can run their best with 2.1. But with 2.0, not as good as 2.1
@@he_wildn the main difference is the frame rate attainable at 4k. HDMI 2.0 can give you 60fps on 4k. HDMI 2.1 can give you 120fps at 4k. Now most games don’t even support 120fps yet. 60fps is a reasonably smooth. I would say only go for hdmi 2.1 monitors if you’re playing pvp games like cod a lot. If you’re playing many games and not intensive pvp player then HDMI 2.0 is more than good enough.

I don't think there'll be much difference in performance but I trust Asus more when it comes to monitors.
I mean.. great is a stretch with Xbox and Playstation both being HDR capable devices, but I appreciate the review. Looking for new work monitors, where a high refresh rate isn't necessarily required.

One question :)) I read somewhere that the Freesync only works for the Displayport, not the HDMI. Do you know by any chance? I read that PS5 confirmed an update that would add the VRR.

VRR woild only work with HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort inputs. The monitor only has HDMI 2.0 and displayport so you'll need the display port VRR.

Would you recommend it for call of duty ps5 over a 1080 120 monitor im stuck on which to get id really like the crispiness of the 4k but the frames could be nice for games too
if youre main gaming is call of duty ( competitive) id say go for the frames other wise youre gonna be stuck with 60 frames

I had this monitor for nearly a year now and I love it. I currently use it for my xbox one s which doesn't support 4K so I notice the grainy resolution when comparing to using it at 4K with my computer. I plan on upgrading to the new xbox series X so I am excited to see this monitor pump games at 4K/60Hz! Anyway, I plan to get a second one to create a dual monitor setup for office use. That's what I love most about this monitor. For the price, you get a solid gaming use AS WELL AS office use. My MacBook Pro has a beautiful ~3K display, and when I drag a window from that screen to this ASUS monitor, the quality of the colours and sharpness is maintained. Great review!!! I definitely subbed.
What picture mode do you use with the monitor and do you use hdr on or off?
@@kaikaih5771 If you mean GameVisual, I use FPS for gaming and Scenery for office use. My HDR is turned off, although it lets me turn it on for xbox and laptop which is neat. The HDR is a bit saturated and yellowy though. Not what I expected for HDR10 but whatever for the price.

@@kaikaih5771 Keep it off. HDR is it’s own technology integrated with the monitor and not a quality of a screen per se. If your using it for gaming, the console or computer may feed its own HDR technology. But honestly it’s what you prefer. Hope you enjoy it!

Hello. I think that the only pseudo solution for having great colors while HDR is on is to have saved customized settings. Let me explain a bit. So, you see, when HDR is on for whatever reason, the monitor locks into the Racing mode visual setting that's sucks, and it gives these washed-out colors, etc. Settings, of course, are locked. So, a way to bypass this is the following:
1)Disable your HDR on your PS5.
2) You will now be able to change and play with the visual settings. Find your best for your liking.
3) Do what you have to do and then SAVE these settings in the monitor menu. The settings you saved will be in the saved slots into the customized settings.
4)Turn on again the HDR on PS5. Again, it will lock to the disastrous Racing Mode setting. You won't be able to change anything again, etc.
5)LOAD your saved customized settings through your monitor. Then, it will change to your preferred custom settings, but you will still be on the HDR mode!
6)After that, choose one of the HDR options, either Cinema, Gaming, or Console. Whatever you like the most. I believe that this option is making the colors deeper and giving better darks.
7)Done!
*P.S. 1) Unfortunately, you will need to do this every time you turn on the console while you have HDR on because, as I said, the monitor locks in the Racing Mode when HDR is on. So, you will need to follow every time steps 5) and 6).
*P.S. 2) This is a pseudo solution of having HDR enabled, but with better colors, etc. I am saying pseudo because maybe with HDR off the screen colors, are going to be the same, etc. But it's a way to fully utilize the HDR of the monitor as much as possible. So, this is the only way.
Try it out and let me know. I hope this helps you and anyone else who wants to have HDR on.

Sooooo, HDMI 2.1 is for reaching 8K/60hz and 4K/120hz; if you have a 4K/60hz panel, why would you put an HDMI version that your panel will not take advantage of? The only thing that will happen is that you'll make it more expensive.

Hey Ali, this is going to be one of the best out there right now as there aren't a lot with 4k and 2.1 input. I can't say for sure what the prices will be but they won't be cheap as they will be the first ones to be made. Lastly, the PS5 comes with its own HDMI 2.1 Cable so don't worry about finding one unless you want a longer one 🙂

Yes you can play games at 4k60, no higher. I don't notice the 5ms time coming from my 75" tizen. It feels similar maybe slightly faster on the monitor. It looks amazing om ps5 and i think I actually prefer the monitor for gaming.
