I'll give this app a go, thank you :) I'm struggling also with flexibility but in terms of strength i'm doing quite well (i can do a push-handstand for example) - my goal is either middle split or olympic handstand, whatever comes first
Started Yoga when Covid first to just feel better about myself - now i just meed 10 min of Yoga in the morning - it makes me feel way better about my Body and to helps me to have a slow start without my phone in the morning
I think you're spot on when you say they best way to approach yoga and flexibility is with a more bite size routine. I made a 5ish minute flow to do after lifting or cardio and is such a great way for me to wind down and also pinpoint areas that need more development. It's a great practice to keep in tune with your body, and also allows you to slow down and not be distracted, even if just for a short time
Regarding the Downward Dog, forget the pressure you're putting on your legs. Make sure you focus your efforts on maintaining the arms and spine as perfectly straight with your shoulders aligned behind the elbows. Raise your hips higher and try to straighten out your lumbar spine as much as possible. If you want to try and stretch your hamstrings in the process, go for it - but it is not the focus. If you want to have them bent, you can. Find and explore your relaxation point 😌
I wouldn't say i do yoga, it's more of stretching. Made me stronger and faster. I feel i have more endurance. Helps greatly overall. Everyone should do something similar. It changes everything.
You really did plan this vid out 2 years ago, did you? It’s awesome to see the progress. I did do as well sometimes stretching and yoga workouts but well, was lazy. Went back to it a month ago and it is a good habit. Thanks for sharing and as usual big props its an awesome video. Keep up the good work, cheers from Germany.
Your training (Enduventure and Yoga) is so different from mine (gymnastics, calisthenics, weights). I don't like running or biking though would be good for me. I turned age 21 in mid October and left gymnastics at age 18 after 14 years of the great sport. I try to keep all my spilts active so my joints don't grip up. You might look into calisthenics for a month and see what that does to your body. There are many great calisthenics channels out there and you could see what it does for you.
Hi, great video as always! :) Just want to say, dont Ice injuries! it delays recovery, your body needs inflamation to recover from it,. And squat 10cm of the wall is nonse, you need ankle mobility to squat deep without buttwink, farther the knees go past the toes more upright your trunk can be i.e no buttwink occurs. For more info look for Squat university, he has one of the best channels for rehab and prehab, same for his books.
I'm currently doing a ( I did yoga for 30 days ) kinda video and I'm starting by only doing 10 minutes a day and was wondering if that was enough. So this is nice and helpful. Shows that consistency is sometimes better than going all in and falling apart ( Aka, me doing ten minutes a day, something simple and easy and time efficient every day makes it an easier habit to implement in comparison to me trying to do half an hour or an hour a day. potentially getting overwhelmed by it and quitting)
Great app, thank You so much for recommendation. Practicing skill yoga for last 3 months really helped me for my trail running performance. I' m not much faster 😆 but it's easier and no pain during running. Thanks!!
Hey man! What do you think of the weighted mobility exercises that the Knees Over Toe Guy is advertising. I have had a lot of improvement in the glutes, shin, quads, and hamstring area. Love to hear why you chose to do yoga instead. Keep up the excellent work!
Hey! Hoping to try this out! Thanks to your channel I've been encouraged to try to become more flexible. I feel like I have about the same flexibility and mobility that you do and to see that much improvement is very much encouraging. I particularly like the fact that you explained it probably won't happen quickly. I need to remember that more. Great stuff and keep up the good work!
This is awesome, right on! It’s really cool to observe the body adapt through consistent, gradual invitation. It’s also really cool to see what our bodies have capacity for. You inspired me- I’m working on gradually calming my nervous system around certain “scary” movements- it takes gradual healing and *patience*
Cool that you have been doing that! As in any new practice I would rather take a good teacher to kick things off so that you really learn what to pay attention to at each position with adjustments done just for you. Because I think the results could be even better than they already are ;)
For good stretching results every stretching position should be held two to almost three minutes at a paint level of 8 out of 10. Try that and you should see significantly better results in way shorter time! Yoga usually rushes through the poses bringing no real or only little stretching value.
That was wheel pose, not bridge. I've only done bridge once. My shoulder and neck is too wonky for me to feel brave enough to keep trying it. So I just stick with bridge.
Lovely content. You seem like a handsome more intelligent more active and more interesting and younger and more hip, more rich version of myself. Totally relatable. 😂
If you really want to improve your posture you need to strengthen the specific muscles that better your posture and stretch the muscles that put you in a bad posture. Sounds simple - isn't really 😅 You could also consult a massage therapist or physio. They usually know small things you can change daily to improve
Hey! Thanks for vid! Because of you I bought 1year sub for Skill yoga month ago. And could you answer my question in previous video? Still wondering if you are not cold in your new house😄
increased risk of injury you want tight muscles so the risk of overextending and hurting/tearing a muscle is reduced and you want warmed up joints for training so do dynamic stretches before the workout static stretches which train the nervous system to "loosen up" the muscle are good whenevery but if i could chose i would not do them before working out
Although I understand the benefits yoga can bring I just can't get passed how boring it is. Also the day after a yoga session I'm always stiff and sore so I just think it worth it.
🚨STOP🚨Your bad form in this video can and will lead to back injuries. For Uttanasana and Paschimottanasana (forward folds). Your spine needs to be in a neutral position (i.e., the 4 natural curves of the spine). You achieve forward folds through hip flexibility and your back should be straight. I can tell from this video that you need to work on the flexibility of your hamstrings. I am a 500hr registered yoga teacher and cannot emphasize enough how important form is. Other viewers please be diligent of this, yoga is healthy only when done right.

Everything is possible through Yoga 🧘♀️ and meditation 🕉️
This is the motivation I needed to start actually incorporating this into my morning routine. Epic video as always!
I started a 15min/day yoga practice on the first of this year and I have found similarly slow results and positive benefits. 10/10 would recommend!

Downward facing dog is definitely a resting pose. During an Ashtanga class, you'll understand why 😅
All you need is determination and consistency

You once said you try and do dynamic mobility stretches every morning? Which ones would you do?
Thanks for your work and nice App!

Awesome! I'll do it. I'm like mr. injury, every part of my body is stift. Wish me luck

Awesome!! And oh sorry, I'll reply to your other comment right away :) !
Can someone recomend a good yoga book?
Why are long stretches generally not good before a workout?
increased risk of injury
you want tight muscles so the risk of overextending and hurting/tearing a muscle is reduced and you want warmed up joints for training so do dynamic stretches before the workout
static stretches which train the nervous system to "loosen up" the muscle are good whenevery but if i could chose i would not do them before working out
this kinda happens naturally when you work night shift
Although I understand the benefits yoga can bring I just can't get passed how boring it is. Also the day after a yoga session I'm always stiff and sore so I just think it worth it.
nice 👍
why does he have a tent in his bed/work room?
Bro😮🎉🎉
Youre overhead position gets much better once you use weights and do overhead squats. It’s not the same as an empty band … stretch with weights!!
Is there a body in the chest freezer?
