I loved that place too. i was there 25 years ago as a kid. We would go on rainy days to get some crafts or things to do. Im glad i visited this past year when i was vacationing! Thanks for the video!
Great video!! Thanks for doing this. Looks like they kept that Roses very well stocked and Ocean City needs a store like that. I'm sure the residents and tourists are really going to miss it. I remember going to that mall over the years. Everything changes.
I remember as a kid, in the 70's and 80's boogie boards were always very expensive, and besides, I liked body surfing in the ocean, so I saved my money and didn't buy one. Now at 5 Below, they're only $5. I can't believe it! I've got one in the closet these days! Problem is, here in NY City, on the way to the ocean, there's a casino calling my name on the subway line, and so I don't go as much to the ocean as I like and can't very well carry a boogie board in the slot machine area. Why not? I'd like to know, too
We were in the Ocean City July of last year and all week long I kept saying I wanted to go to Rose's, because I've been there so many times before and always loved it. It was like a treasure hunt you never knew what you were going to find. But I kept putting it off and never ended up going this time. Big mistake on my part exclamation point
@@DanielKestersCoast I'm not sure, but that's a good guess, Daniel! I remember liking our A&P, and when Super Fresh took over in Annapolis, I was annoyed because I liked our A&P. So when Mom sent us to the store, I'd always pick up some bad fruit in the store and say to my family, "does this look Super Fresh?!" It made me laugh to myself. We'd drive out of our way to go to the beloved Safeway. Are they still in business? Then I liked Giant. I thought Acme was long gone, so imagine my surprise when they opened an Acme up here in New York a year or two ago! I was thrilled! It's a nice one, too.

I heard that Roses is looking for a new location. Maybe there's hope.

Went to my first Roses in the early 80's when I lived in North Carolina.
They were always the cheapest place to purchase crab hand lines. They did have a little if everything.
Do you remember when Super Fresh took over the A&P grocery store chain in the Mid-Atlantic area?
I'm going to say early 90's
