I have two Berninas, both of which I purchased second-hand. One is a 570QE and the other is a Q20 in a cabinet. With these two machines, I can do anything my skills will allow. The 990 high price tag on the 990 just about hits the combined total of my machines -- might be worth a look if you don't have a large, dedicated sewing space.
It is a lot of money, but it really depends on what your passion is and if it's a good fit for you. Each person has to evaluate their own needs and determine if the 990 is the perfect fit or if a lower end model meets your needs.
Ridiculous. Especially that in 5 years it’s outdated. When I bought my Bernina Artista 180 back in the day the store said I would only have to update it a couple of times a year. After three or four years updates were no longer available for my machine. They recommended I buy a new one. A sewing machine should not cost as much as a car. I love my Bernina but that price tag is unacceptable.
I have a nice Horn cabinet that I got for my Baby Lock Solaris. Do you think this Bernina would fit in it? I have always been more of a Bernina girl but that Baby Lock had so much more to offer at the time.
Sewing machines have gotten out of hand price wise. I do admit to buying a BERNINA 790+ and it’s a good machine, but I will never use all of its features.
It is a beautiful machine...I just can't justify the cost. I will accept it as a gift!

It’s not for everyone. I don’t own a Rolex.
The price is insane good thing I'm still head over heals in love with my 770.
Perfect
Looks awesome. When will you have one in the store for us to see in person?
I should have one by August 1st

No. It won’t
The machine is 26.5 inches across. Best to have a 28” opening
Not for everyone, Janome has one at that price when it came out
NO Way should anyone spend 25,000 on any machine! Gimme a break!

It really depends on what your passion is. For some of us, it really is worth it.
The price is beyond absurd.
It’s not for everyone. In line with other brand top of the line machines
@@berninajeff Yes there are many people with more money than common sense. PT Barnum said it best.
