Man, how cool was that? Damn. I’ve watched every single one of your videos I’ve learned so much from you. I’m a much better big bait fisherman because of you as I’m sure many are. I see your travels, the way people respect you and your opinion. I think it’s so cool that your get invited onto Okudasans boat on Lake Biwa and the trips you take to manufacturers and Icast with Ben. Idk I guess I just want to give respect to what you’ve built and earned for yourself in the tiny world of big bait men. Ya, so RESPECT bro. Thanks for all the nuggets of knowledge you drop. We appreciate it!
respect for speaking english with a japanese accent. it definitely helps the language barrier. some folks look at it as mocking but if done with the right attitude it only helps the communication.
There’s actually a name for it called Katakana, where the Japanese take western words that don’t exist in the original Japanese language and try and use them.🤟
Bro I remember watching your videos 10-12 years ago and was just thinking about trying to find your channel the other day, but had no memory of what it was called. Then you popped up on my feed this morning. Dope lmao, glad to see you’re still locked in with fishing
I think it would be hard to live there as a foreigner unless you were some kind of English teacher or entertainer or musician or something. The people individually are some of the kindest people you'll ever meet but Japanese society is definitely geared towards the japanese.
Dude that is sooo cool. Love this channel!!!! Your Japanese is very good !!! Then to cook on the boat . Wow!!! I am going to have to try that this winter .
Incredible video. I am so geeked up I want to learn Nihango. Congratulations on a dream come true. When you appeared to have a fish on I jumped. Great, great stuff.
Hey bro, you know they sell the Ultra-carps here in Aus under a different name. They slay on the big Murray Cod though. Any ideas when he’s releasing the prototype? It’d be killer down here 🤌 Keep slayin!
Okuda Manabu works for Shimano but using a Daiwa baitcaster also? 🧐 Tatula 300/400 is one of my favorite low profile baitcasting reels for big glides and umbrella rigs compared to the gold round caluttas.
There are some other factors contributing to the decline of bass there unfortunately, most of which aren't discussed publicly. It also does not help that there are no fish management programs in place for sustainable fishing in the country. However, the fish that are in that lake are extremely healthy and shaped like footballs for the most part. It's also a stunningly gorgeous body of water as well.
1-4 oz is a pretty hard range, most rods are normally 1-3oz or 2-6oz, you’ll most likely be looking at a MH or H rod. Dobyns, F5, IRod, LDC make rods in that 200-400 price point
@@crazybassfisher I went this spring and it was amazing Thank goodness for google translate but definitely need to learn Japanese for the next time I go
Heck no i would be throwing a 5/8 chrome rattle trap or using a 1/2 jig with a zoom tiny fluke and catch all the bass big and small stop playing with those super expensive waste of time and money baits
i swear these guys like watching the action of the bait more than they do catching actual fish. Swimbait culture is becoming more of a gimmick each year.
Another banger Geoff. Much respect. Okuda has to be the flyest cat I've ever seen on video 😂
Okuda-san is so badass without even trying 😂
Dude cooked you ramen.
I love how Geoff learned the language and respect he has for import baits n fisherman
Learned is a strong word, more like fumble some words around and pray they understand what I’m saying 😂 thanks for watching 🤟
Ha u learned enough to speak w him
Geof's linguistics getting good
They are getting better for sure, still have a long way to go though 😂🙏
This content is Gold. Taking us where we'll never be able to go. Cool.
Thanks for watching! Hopefully a lot of people get the chance to go to Lake Biwa!

So cool to watch man. Thanks for documenting this type of stuff!

Living the dream! Stoked for you! ⚡
Thank you! Pretty lucky to do what I do honestly 🙏
okudas largemouth shirt in the thumbnail 🔥
thanks for sharing with us geoff
His shirt was sick! Thanks for watching 🤟
Got super jacked up when I saw the thumbnail . Awesome video and even better big bait anglers sharing some time on 🇯🇵 waters 🤙🏾
Thanks for watching! It was a fun time out there!
Props to the camera guy at the beginning! Killer steadiness and focus, you should start to pay that guy.
That guy? I had to fix soooo many mistakes in post 💀
I just love their culture hospitality is 💯. Great vid
Thanks for watching! Their culture is amazing!

Super Dope video bro. Thanks for bringing us along. Beautiful lake. Next year... 10 pounder!
Thanks for watching! Hopefully that 10 pounder comes😂
@@crazybassfisher 🙏🏽 you get that one or better on Biwa. I’d be super stoked for you!

Thanks for watching my guy🙏
Great video, Geoff. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching my dude 🙏
Manabu was clutch with those instant noodles. Easily best part of the day
Japan Number 1🔥
Kudos from France, keep up the great work. Got me into big swimbait fishing too. Thanks guys
Thanks for watching from France! I need to go out there someday!
Love your videos tour the reason I got into big swimbait fishing
Thanks for watching! Hope you find success in fishing big swimbaits!
I have, caught my pb 9.5 pounds last month
Bro what a cool freaking video . Much respect for you being familiar with his dialect .
Thank you, learning Japanese has been a huge help in making videos like this possible
I follow this guy and he is a wealth of knowledge! SALUTE!
Thanks for watching, Okuda-san is such a rad guy!
Sick video Geoff!
Thanks for watching 🤙
That was AWESOME Brother 👏🏾 PRICELESS 💙
Thanks for watching homie 🤙
Dope vid bro, Keep it up! Who’s next on the list, TAKUMA HATA from Jackall?!!
He would be cool some day!
Hey bro, you know they sell the Ultra-carps here in Aus under a different name. They slay on the big Murray Cod though. Any ideas when he’s releasing the prototype? It’d be killer down here 🤌 Keep slayin!
What type of split ring or snap is that on the front of his baits. I like how small it is
So sick! I can't wait to scratch Japan off the buck list one day
The place is a trip man! You’ll love it!
What is the lure in the thumbnail?
Okuda Manabu works for Shimano but using a Daiwa baitcaster also? 🧐 Tatula 300/400 is one of my favorite low profile baitcasting reels for big glides and umbrella rigs compared to the gold round caluttas.
No no, he was just using my rod, I love that Tatula 300, great reel so far!
Nissan Cup Pro! Japanese number 1 cup noodle! lol 😂
Awesome vid an baits 😊
Thanks for watching 🤟
Enjoyed the Video. The Japanese are amazing fisherman.
Thanks for watching! They really are! Would love to fish with more of them!
Signal makes the best Chatterbait trailer.
Signal definitely makes some under the radar baits that are really good!
What DC-reel are you using for heavy swimbaits?
I personally use a Shimano Antares MD
I just had a question for ya Have you tried fishing with the glideway 176 yet?
No I have not, I’ve heard it’s a pretty good glide bait!
I wonder if a basic Texas rig would slay them put down the giant baits lol

Yeah, the other factors are crazy haha the fish and surrounding ecosystem is so beautiful it’s crazy
Aurie Gato GEOFFREY!!! That prototype looks money!
That prototype is so sick!
Yeah Bruh.... Make us Proud!! I'm soo jealous! You are turning me into a SB angler!
Thanks for watching! Come join the dark side😂
Nice!! it looks lovely!!@@crazybassfisher
That prototype was cool.
It’s such a sick bait!

"Big mama"
Had no clue you could speak so fluent. Very cool.
Haha my Japanese has a long way to go still, I kind of just string stuff together and about 70% of the time it works😂
BIWI is HUGE!!! Not another boat in sight yet, this body of wayer is under heavy pressure; I wonder what the bait fish stock is like.. interesting
Yeah, it’s a massive lake haha
Finally!!!!
Thanks for watching 🙏
Sick Dude
Thanks for watching 🙌
I got St. James (geoff) hidden verses for recorded songs ;)
Damn Geoff you speak Japanese! That’s sick brotha you’re a beast for learning Japanese
I’m currently learning haha far from speaking fluently though😂
What an incredible experience,I’m happy for yourself and your buddy ❤👊
Thank you! An unreal experience for sure!
What was the square patty in the ramen?
I’m honestly not quite sure, it had a strange taste and texture to it though😂
Geofrey what rod do you recommend meto throw from 1oz to 4oz. between $200-400 please and thank you.
DOBYNS MIKE BUCCA, 836

I won’t be going next year actually, 2025 I believe though
@@crazybassfisher oh pity, i guess i’ll see you again in 2025 then! or if you come again to biwa 🙂
That’s awsome your só intune with the culture and language…. I’d be throwing that Hinkel out screaming “BANZI!!!!!”all day long
Haha thanks for watching 🤣🙏
I quit swimbait and glidebait fishing after I casted off my 175 😭😭😭
That hurts so much😢

I need to go back to japan and learn the language
The language is hard but it can be fun when you learn stuff and immediately get to use it!

Just fast through it Skunk ..

Luis mora of bass fishing
Haha funny you say that, been watching his videos for years now, definitely take inspiration from him
Bro, that giant soft body carp, shorten that dude up an inch or two and put it on a huge diet and that dude is money!!!
I find this going into niche. This is not the way to catch fish or big fish.
First
woah on em!
Thanks for watching homie! Let’s get out and fish soon!
@@crazybassfisher congratulations on 30k

Okay boomer
i swear these guys like watching the action of the bait more than they do catching actual fish. Swimbait culture is becoming more of a gimmick each year.
Yes, I’d rather watch my bait swim than catch fish, I would hate to get bite marks on my baits🙏🤙
That was just purely amazing. What an incredible opportunity 🪬
Thanks for watching! It was definitely unreal!
@@crazybassfisher I learn a lot from you my man. Always peeping the video drops 🪬
