No idea this game even existed. It came out in 1992 which was a year before the movie, which got delayed. I'm guessing the game designers worked closely with the filmmakers and the game got released before the movie itself did. The game looks... okay. The Dark Half is a good movie but not exactly video game material. The music and atmosphere are good and it's impressive how closely it follows the film with no noticably big deviations like with so many movie-based games. But it definitely doesn't look like something I'd replay from time to time. It's a curiousity more than anything.
I must say that I haven't seen the movie before playing the game and I find it hard to believe that anyone could understand what is actually going on storywise in the game without seeing the movie prior. Unfortunately, the game does a very poor job explaining its plot to the player :(
@@LSTRetroGamingVideos I definitely recommend the movie if you haven't seen it. It's very good, and I think the game's plot would be much easier and clearer to understand when you go into it after the film.
