My precious budgie, Lukey, is almost 14 yrs old and had a stroke a few months ago.. But, he still can climb, and eat ,and drink. He keeps his little head over to the side most of the time.. I love him so much, and I'm so happy he is still here.. I prayed so hard for him to live.He loves hearing these chirps and will happily chirp along. At first he just looked up and was looking all around to see where they came from.. Then he just started to chirp along. Thank you so much for this beautiful video. And Lukey thanks you, too. My budgie starts chirping everytime i play this, my budgie's partner died just a day before quarantine and i cant get outside to bring another one, my budgie was very lonely, I tried playing lots of budgie sounds on youtube but no one works...but when i started playing this clip he responded by singing and dancing😊 And now whenever i play this clip he now flies to nearby mirror and starts dancing/chirping in front of mirror..thinking its his new friend And he's doing that right now THANK YOU SO MUCH 😊😊

Until you realize that a parrot spending any great length of time in front of a mirror causes depression in birds since they mate for life. He literally think he’s mated to his reflection. Can you imagine the frustration that it can’t reciprocate, mate or interact with? Can you imagine how lonely and sexually frustrating that must be? It can also cause aggression due to that frustration. How very depressing. I don’t allow any of my parrots to interact with. Mirror for any length of time for this reason. So while sweet to the observer and someone not familiar with parrots, its literally depressing and causes me great sadness for this male parrot.
Just got my first budgie last week. I figure he's only about two months old and your budgie is teaching him so many new sounds to make :) He'll sit there quietly and listen and later in the day he'll start sharing some of the new sounds he's learned.

I love both canaries and parakeets, and decided I wanted one. I couldn't decided which and finally decided on whichever one sang more beautiful would fit into my home. Hands down, parakeets win.
Yours died early, too? Mine was gone just after 1 1/2 years due to a mite-infection. It's crazy how I came to consider him a family member after that short time and i frequently think about him even though he has been gone for almost 13 years now.
I am sorry for your loss :( I just lost my bird last night! She died al of the sudden! I take comfort in the fact that she did suffer and was happy and healthy for the entire 10.5 years of her life! I do miss the chirping and singing and her crazy antics with her toys :(
Mine suffered a little bit which made it even harder losing him at that time. After he died I made him a little cardbox-coffin and buried him at my favorite place in the woods. A couple times a year just out of the blue I think about him; how he used to climb up my shoulder and nibble my ear, take a nap on my belly or kamikaze-dive into every food I opened around him. Always puts a smile on my face :)
Ive gotten two they're still with me and their names are chica and merry. Chica was is the brave one she goes on my finger without a problem. Merry is skittish but she went on my finger for the first time :3 I was so proud of her. I also have a cockatoo named cookie we rescued. She's the sweetest thing. To be honest I wouldn't have imagined life without her. But you are right, birds are companions all the way to the end. :)
Having budgies isn’t easy, yet I see so many little kids being like “they’re so fun and cute.” Don’t get birds just for the looks and fun. Get them because you’ll really care for them.
Budgies are actually the easiest bird you could take care of though they need loads of attention. You shouldn't give one to a child that will grow out of wanting to care for a budgie. Budgies are a lot of work mostly because they require attention from its parent
This is perfect for companionship for my budgie. She (Skyler) loves to listen. I cannot whistle AT ALL...although I do talk to her everyday! I thought she was going to be a male and be a better "talker" but I still am trying 2 years later. I can hear her mumble an def hear some of the phrases I say to her every day. Funn thing is she now whistles the notification ring sound on my husbands phone! LOL

Our guys, Angel and Louie, have an uneasy relationship and listening to this budgie really cuts the tension. They return to their corners and start singing along.
I have six of them. I let them have the house for a cage with 2 cages for them to live in. So they fly around and since I know where they land, I don't have a poop problem, because I can contain it. I love them. They are so happy and cheerful and your little guy is just like that.
I have tried a variety of "budgies singing videos" with my little ones, all in all, the make them "mad' - people think they start "singing" but in fact they get really stressed when they hear other ones but they can't see them (at least thats how I see mine react). This one though, makes them feel a lot more content. It almost like its calming them down! Thumbs up for you!

I had a bird someone didn't want. He wasn't tame but he was sooooo hilarious and cute. I renamed Boo Boo. I'd tell "put your hat on" and he'd stick his head under his bell! I'd tell him "swing Boo Boo" and he'd swing like crazy and really built his chest up. I'd ask "are crazy BooBoo" and he'd fly across his perch and screaming. My little dog and parrot Angel would be so jealous. I lost BooBoo and my Sammie Sue a few years ago when they were both 15. Such Grief. I've had my parrot Angel for over 20 years from Hawaii. We are attached at the hip. I play these videos for her. Yes, she loves them and I still have to ask her if she's a crazy bird.

A few years ago, my budgie had passed away in the other room and while I was in my bedroom, that had to be one of the hardest nights of my life. I knew there wasn’t anything I could do and to this day I wish I was there for her in her final moments. I remember she used to love singing to her mirror and play with it all the time. We would always call her a pretty bird since she loved seeing herself in her reflection. I miss her so much even to this day.

I am trying to train him to accept my hand holding a spray of millet...slow going but I am patient. I love both canaries and parakeets, and decided I wanted one. I couldn't decided which and finally decided on whichever one sang more beautiful would fit into my home. Hands down, parakeets win.

Mine was gone just after 1 1/2 years due to a mite-infection.
It's crazy how I came to consider him a family member after that short time and i frequently think about him even though he has been gone for almost 13 years now.
I am sorry for your loss :( I just lost my bird last night! She died al of the sudden! I take comfort in the fact that she did suffer and was happy and healthy for the entire 10.5 years of her life! I do miss the chirping and singing and her crazy antics with her toys :(

Mine suffered a little bit which made it even harder losing him at that time.
After he died I made him a little cardbox-coffin and buried him at my favorite place in the woods.
A couple times a year just out of the blue I think about him; how he used to climb up my shoulder and nibble my ear, take a nap on my belly or kamikaze-dive into every food I opened around him.
Always puts a smile on my face :)
Ive gotten two they're still with me and their names are chica and merry. Chica was is the brave one she goes on my finger without a problem. Merry is skittish but she went on my finger for the first time :3 I was so proud of her. I also have a cockatoo named cookie we rescued. She's the sweetest thing. To be honest I wouldn't have imagined life without her. But you are right, birds are companions all the way to the end. :)
Having budgies isn’t easy, yet I see so many little kids being like “they’re so fun and cute.” Don’t get birds just for the looks and fun. Get them because you’ll really care for them.
It’s not the kids fault, if parent don’t correct and teach children wouldn’t know ....
Budgies are actually the easiest bird you could take care of though they need loads of attention. You shouldn't give one to a child that will grow out of wanting to care for a budgie. Budgies are a lot of work mostly because they require attention from its parent

This is perfect for companionship for my budgie. She (Skyler) loves to listen. I cannot whistle AT ALL...although I do talk to her everyday! I thought she was going to be a male and be a better "talker" but I still am trying 2 years later. I can hear her mumble an def hear some of the phrases I say to her every day. Funn thing is she now whistles the notification ring sound on my husbands phone! LOL

I have six of them. I let them have the house for a cage with 2 cages for them to live in. So they fly around and since I know where they land, I don't have a poop problem, because I can contain it.

I have tried a variety of "budgies singing videos" with my little ones, all in all, the make them "mad' - people think they start "singing" but in fact they get really stressed when they hear other ones but they can't see them (at least thats how I see mine react). This one though, makes them feel a lot more content. It almost like its calming them down! Thumbs up for you!

I had a bird someone didn't want. He wasn't tame but he was sooooo hilarious and cute. I renamed Boo Boo. I'd tell "put your hat on" and he'd stick his head under his bell! I'd tell him "swing Boo Boo" and he'd swing like crazy and really built his chest up. I'd ask "are crazy BooBoo" and he'd fly across his perch and screaming. My little dog and parrot Angel would be so jealous. I lost BooBoo and my Sammie Sue a few years ago when they were both 15. Such Grief. I've had my parrot Angel for over 20 years from Hawaii. We are attached at the hip. I play these videos for her. Yes, she loves them and I still have to ask her if she's a crazy bird.

A few years ago, my budgie had passed away in the other room and while I was in my bedroom, that had to be one of the hardest nights of my life. I knew there wasn’t anything I could do and to this day I wish I was there for her in her final moments. I remember she used to love singing to her mirror and play with it all the time. We would always call her a pretty bird since she loved seeing herself in her reflection. I miss her so much even to this day.
My parakeets love this! They fluff up and find a comfortable spot, and sing along. It calms them down a whole lot! Thank u sooooo much!!!😍🥰

Just got my budgie, he is young and small, no face spots yet..he responds to videos some of the time. I am trying to train him to accept my hand holding a spray of millet...slow going but I am patient.
