Does the E8 foam Oat Milk? Our Miele, that is dying after 9 yrs, just makes a mess. That was my biggest complaint regarding the Miele was how finicky about which milk we used.
Hi, thank you for your question. Yes, all Jura machines, E8 in particular work perfectly well with all alternative mills ( except for coconut milk due to its thickness).
No question, just amazed at the level of knowledge you guys spread in the replies to the questions. Okay, 1 question: is the cupwarmer really worth it?
Hello! Thank you for appreciating our work! It's always nice to get such comments =) Also, great question! Speaking of the cup warmer, we would say that most people are happy with the temperature of the drinks from the machine since the temperature of the coffee is pretty high. However, when using ceramic or glass cups, you lose anywhere between 5 and 10 degrees Celsius as soon as the coffee touches your cup. You could say that it's a great accessory which serves its purpose. And if you like your coffee extremely hot, then it really is a worthwhile purchase.

Hi Anna, thank you for your question! The machines differ primarily in terms of their features, design and capacity. Generally speaking, they use the same technology for espresso extraction and therefore the difference in taste is not significantly different from one machine to the next. There are, however, some factors that can contribute to a more saturated flavour, such as the grinder, size of the brew unit etc. But those differences are almost negligent taste-wise, as Jura strives to make all machines produce mouthwatering coffee, regardless of the line of a price range. Hope this helps 😀

@@FaemaCanada The main reason I ask is because there doesn't seem to be an option listed for the machine to reduce just hot milk anymore? Was hoping to use it to make hot chocolate, etc?
On the Jura website I see they have a new S8, but with less drink options and no extra shots as the new E8 has. Is there really a new S8? Do you know when was it last updated and/or when may it be updated next? I like the touch screen a lot, and being able to save two different drink configurations for a single type of coffe, but I'm not keen on buying a machine that has not been improved in a long while when the E8 is just new and looks awesome as well. Sorry it's a bit off-topic. Thanks!
Hi Ivan! Thanks for your comment. The new S8 (Piano Black) that was introduced in Canada in 2021 is an alternative design option of S8. Internally, the unit is identical to the previous finishes of S8 and features a wide range of beverages as well as key Jura technologies in addition to the personalization of products & menu that made this machine so popular. The new E8, in its turn, does incorporate new innovations like second shot, smart preheating, wi-fi connectivity etc. The taste of coffee coming out from both machines will be largely the same since all Jura machines are made with the idea of the highest quality of coffee in mind. @@FaemaCanada so the S8 was already updated in 2021. I had hope it would feature the newer milk cleaning system of the E8. I would have preferred the S8 touchscreen but I think the E8 with the J.O.E application can get us similar results, can you confirm? E8 has wifi built-in or it's a separate module?
Hi@@Rhialto Yes, the milk system cleaning on the S8 requires adding water, whereas the E8 draws the water from the tank. It is a nice feature but we wouldn't say it makes a huge difference. As for the Smart/Wifi Connect, it can offer that functionality on any machine. It can be purchased separately and simply needs to be plugged into the back of the machine (behind the water reservoir)
I am not sure if I’ve understood correctly. Do i have to run a milk system cleaning program that runs 4 mins and requires special liquid or tablets every time after preparing a milk using beverage? It seems annoying and pricey doesn’t it?
Hi Ivan To answer your question - no, the milk system doesn’t need to be cleaned after every preparation. However, the best practice is letting the machine run the cycle regularly, to ensure the frother is clean and hygienic, without taking anything apart and cleaning it manually. The machine will dispense a necessary amount of water into the cleaning container, so there’s no need to stand by the machine and wait until it completes the cleaning. Doing so guarantees excellent quality of foam in all your milk-based beverages.
Hi M Duncan! The fine foam frother on the new E8 has been streamlined to make the user experience as seamless as possible by introducing an optimal setting for all milk-based beverages. However, the previous style of the frother is still available and can be optionally used on the new E8.
Hi 👋 I just bought the S8and I’m not so happy with . Not sure if I’m just not using it right or what. I drink flat whites from Starbucks and I tried making several with the S8 and not very happy with the foam texture…..it’s quite airy and I’d like it more rich and creamy. So my question is, is there a way to get that on this machine? I’ve been using 2% milk. Also it tells me to clean the milk system like after every cup or two….is that normal? Because that’s a bit of a pain.
Hi Suezy! We use homogenized milk in our machines, as it tends to produce the most tremendous foam. Try it out :) Also, you might want to increase the volume of milk in your flat white to get the creamiest texture. As for the milk system cleaning, the maintenance prompt that you see serves as a reminder that milk system has been used. There’s no need to do it every time, as machine rinses itself throughout the day. We recommend running a cycle regularly (at the end of the day) to ensure the cleanliness of the frother and high-quality foam. Please feel free to reach out to our customer service if you have any other questions!
Hi Goran! On the machine, you can program coffee strength, temperature and volume of milk (seconds of frothing). This enables you to customize all drinks in the way you want them and to perfectly fit the volume of cups that you use.
I am trying to take apart the machine to clean the grinder and i cannot get the rear back screws out...they are smooth, and it is like the back of the screws are sticking out with no way to access the side to screw them out? it is driving me crazy and i can't make any coffee in the thing until i clean it.
Hi Matt! We strongly advise against disassembling the machine by yourself, as it is only intended to be done by the service technicians. The only cleaning required for the machine is a cycle using a cleaning tablet, which does not entail taking the machine apart. Before proceeding, kindly give a call to our service centre for more information. Thank you
Hi Mary! The machine typically prompts you to add a cleaning tablet every 150 cups. As for the milk system cleaning - it only needs to be done at the end of the day, whenever you make milk-based beverages.
How did you get yours to brew so dark? What grind setting are you using. I timed my extraction time at an average of 18 seconds. Coffee is still very bold for me even though mine brews much lighter. Any feedback would be nice.
Hi JermCee! There is a number of factors that could be affecting the strength and appearance of your coffee. For this video we used Faema espresso bean and the grinder is factory pre-set to the optimal (medium grind). You can try using a different coffee blend or changing your coffee strength on the beverage menu, as well as experimenting with the ratio of water to espresso in drinks like Americano - the one we featured in the video. Feel free to contact our customer service or come into one of our showrooms and try out different coffees to see which one matches you preferences the most ;)
No worries! The fineness of grind is set to medium (please see the machine manual for the picture); We would recommend going a notch coarser and see how you like the difference in taste. To change the grind, simply turn the adjustment switch clockwise one level at a time. Also, make sure you do that while the machine is grinding! In addition, the taste will depend heavily on the beans that you use as well, so make sure to try different blends! We hope this helps you perfect your coffee enjoyment 😄 Keep us posted, send us an email to info@faema.ca!
Hi Ashoka! It's not advisable to use heavy cream in the frother due to its thickness. You can, however, use any type of milk, including alternative milks like almond, oat, soy, etc.
How hot are the milk drinks? It is very important for me to have my flat white very hot. I use a dual boiler semi automatic machine but am looking to get something more convenient. Can you comment on the heat of the espresso as well? Thank you.
Hi Daniel! Prior to pulling an espresso shot, E8 bypasses the brew unit with hot water, which results in a higher temperature of the selected beverage. Generally speaking, the temperature of a drink will vary based on how much espresso you add to it (for ex. 2.5 oz will be hotter that 1 oz due to a higher ratio of espresso to milk or foam). If you are located in GTA, please feel free to come to one of our showrooms to try it out :)

To answer your question - no, the milk system doesn’t need to be cleaned after every preparation.
Anything different on the frother?
Try it out :)
Also, you might want to increase the volume of milk in your flat white to get the creamiest texture.
Can you regulate amount of milk for cappuccino at latest E8??
Thank you
Amazing reviews
Thank you Rodrigo, we appreciate it 😀
How often do you have to do the clean milk, each time and how about the tablet ? Thank you in advance
Hi Mary! The machine typically prompts you to add a cleaning tablet every 150 cups. As for the milk system cleaning - it only needs to be done at the end of the day, whenever you make milk-based beverages.
@@FaemaCanada thank you so much!!!
Feel free to contact our customer service or come into one of our showrooms and try out different coffees to see which one matches you preferences the most ;)
@@FaemaCanada thank you! Also, what grinder setting does it come with? I can’t remember as I’ve changed it since then. Thanks!
No worries! The fineness of grind is set to medium (please see the machine manual for the picture);
We would recommend going a notch coarser and see how you like the difference in taste. To change the grind, simply turn the adjustment switch clockwise one level at a time. Also, make sure you do that while the machine is grinding!
In addition, the taste will depend heavily on the beans that you use as well, so make sure to try different blends!
We hope this helps you perfect your coffee enjoyment 😄
Keep us posted, send us an email to info@faema.ca!
I've purchased it a few minutes ago!
Enjoy your new machine! Thanks for watching 😀
Can you use cream in the milk frother instead of milk?
Hi Ashoka! It's not advisable to use heavy cream in the frother due to its thickness. You can, however, use any type of milk, including alternative milks like almond, oat, soy, etc.
@@FaemaCanada awesome thank you so much!
@@FaemaCanada hello, I was told to stay away from flavored milk alternatives, Is that true?
The milk comes out of the frother at 165 deg on mine.
Can confirm just burnt my tongue on the Latte Macchiato
Milk based drinks are cold!! I have to microwave my drinks to get it hot. Unacceptable for an expensive machine
Hi! Great review! What I keep being confused with is two things: is the E8 (new edition) now the newer machine than S8? Or if not what is the product number of the S8 that is the newest version. I ask this because I got lost in all the naming and edition tracking between E8 and S8. One more thing, does the new E8 come with WIFI connection by default or? Please help... :D
Hi Itomljenovic! Thank you, we appreciate it! Also, great questions :)
The new edition E8 is indeed newer than the S8. For your reference, here are the links to the S8 on our website: www.faema.ca/searchresults.asp?Search=s8.
We also did a video review of the S8, which might be helpful in comparing the two models!
The New E8 is compatible with the WIFI connect but it does not come with this machine specifically and can be purchased separately.
Hi, I have a similar question about the new version. In the Jura 2022 flyer the available colours for this machine are Piano Black (16372), Dark Inox (15498) and Piano White (15490). However, I can’t find the Chrome version? Which version is newest? And what is your code for this finish? Thank you
@@ramonarusso1641 this is the most confusing thing about Juras. They never change their names. and you don't know when they are revised or changed! Which ones are newer than the others!
Hello, how hot is steamed milk?
not too hot I hear!!!
I bought my jura j 8 coffee maker 4 months ago and this morning it didn't give up the coffee anymore. It's a slightly expensive three-thousand-two hundred dollar machine and after 4 months it breaks down outrageous.😢😢
No warranty with it?
what finally happened to the Jura? Returned and got a new one?
We just ordered our third. Excellent machines - never had an issue!
Any thoughts on the drip tray being plastic? Durability? Scratching?
Hi Lisa!
The drip tray is quite durable. Scratching doesn’t seem to be a problem but depends on user’s interaction with the machine. From our experience, the drip trays tend to be pretty scratch-resistant :)
@@FaemaCanada I have an ENA 8 one touch, the drip tray is metal and all scratched up. It died today, so looking for a new machine. I'm in doubt between the E8 and S8...

@@Mark-pi7vj hi, how long did you have the ena8 until it died as I'm thinking of getting 1. Might get the e8 now.
@@darkforcextc about 10 years. I now have a Sage (Breville) Oracle Touch. I'm never going back to full-auto machines. They are so maintenance-heavy. Also coffee tastes better now!
Great video!! Can you make a large coffee, say 12oz?
Thank you, we appreciate it! 😁
Normally the machine will brew up to 8 oz in one go. This ensures that coffee tastes good and is not too diluted with water.
For a larger size, you can simply hit the button twice, to brew twice the amount of coffee and stop it at any point. Doing that will get you a much more flavorful cup of coffee.
Enjoy! ☺️
I ow one...and I love it...

I am in the US will not allow me to buy.
At this pricepoint I would expect the glassmilk container to come standard in the box..
Not for broke people 🤷🏻♂️... Can't afford it, don't buy it!
Thank you for this great review Mike. I am purchasing this unit as well as a number of accessories on line from Faema today for shipment out to British Columbia.
Our city does not sell Jura, otherwise I would try to buy local. Looking forward to this new experience in coffee.

The milk cleaning seems like a major pain in the ass. I make maybe 2 milk based beverages a day
I’ve had my machine for about 3 weeks now. I was worried about the same thing, but I actually find it to be easy and convenient. And you would only need to clean the milk system at the end of it’s use for the day.
Well done.
Hi David, thank you for your feedback!
This was my first video and i appreciate you taking the time to critique it. I am trying to improve the quality of these videos and will take your advice with longer shots on the displays in future videos.

Well Done?, what the machine or the coffee?, from my point of machine engineering still there improvement's, Looks EXCEL, but still to improve! will sale more Easier (process).
I think I'd rather save several hundred dollars for the older version
Our was £100 more in the UK.
@@anneegan4251 The Canadian pricing is also a difference of $100.00!
Love my E8 Except for the $20 a month filter cost! Be prepared for this additional cost! Jura has not allowed different companies to manufacture the filter this has allowed the to increase the cost $5 per filter since I purchased the coffee maker.
what about the cleaning solutions. How much does that cost per month?
