I had a 70 and was continually fixing rust and it was no where near as bad as that and I ended up selling it off because of that. Of course the guy who got it had none for a while. Man you have you work cut out for you if you don't want to watch it dissolve. I wonder if the back mount strap on the diff has rotted out and thats what the cinch strap is holding up. The stock hitachi diff is a bit weak for that engine.
