I was just told I could only refinance via an FHA mortgage, I must pay mortgage insurance (PMI) and my house would need a stringent inspection as if I was buying a new property. This is via Nationstar now Mr Cooper (worst name ever). My home is 2/3rds paid for at today’s appraisal value for my home. That’s between 250-300K in equity. That’s not enough to simply re-org my current mortgage, during a worldwide pandemic. I didn’t even get to the fees that this Trump appointee with be charging me. My lender is in Texas, so I assume I’d be charged this fee. Despicable!

Watching you go after solutions, Representative Porter, is like watching a writer work on their favorite project, in that they know what they want to do, they seek the conflict out, and they execute on that conflict in a way that is satisfying, brilliant, and honest. I do not live in your district, but I wish there were a representative where I live that would treat their role as confidently as you do.
