Thanks for the great tutorial guys! I have a question: I have been trying to fix graphics in a way that it always stays in the same place within the screen. This means that the graphics follow the head (or mouse) movement of the viewer. Any suggestions how to achieve this? Thanks in advance! Aitor

Nice video, thanks. I suggest a video for average people showing cost of the editing tools. It sounded like you described using three Adobe products in this video. What does that cost? Are there other solutions that are less costly but also don't produce Lucasfilm effects and quality? There is a world of people who may not want to spend such money for software or may not want to get into 360 when they determine total cost of equipment plus software plus other subscription software cost. I got my first 360 camera yesterday and now to find out how to charge the battery and use it since the include instructions are written at a grade school level with little useful content.. As a retired analyst and tech writer, these instructions are politely worthless. I'm hoping your videos along with the other 360 creators will help me get started into this hobby
Hey guys, did you use motion track in after effects or something to make the image or texts appear as if they were real objects? I have some gauges I want to appear on top of my head in the 360 degree video and it should follow me all the time. What do i need to do? Just drag and drop and it will do the job or do i have to motion track it? Does motion tracking even works in 360 lol, i have a lot to learn about these things.

Hey- Mac and Windows both have simple editors that are free.. however if you want to edit 360 video you’ll probably need to buy a program like Premiere of FCPX. My friend 360 Rumors has a recent tutorial you might want to check out about editing too 👍

Hi Ben and or Austin, hope you read this and have time to answer.... :) When I add a text to my video it turns out to go exactly the wrong way: in the equirectangular view the text is straight and in the 360 viewer is it warped. I must be doing something wrong or oversee a setting that is not correct. I'm using Premiere Pro 2018.... Big thank you in advance from Holland!

With 2017 a lot of these plugins were part of the Mettle suite (which you have to download separately).. if you upgrade to 2018 they will show up automatically!

Hi I need to overlay a 2d video onto a 360 video so that the 2d video is always seen (i.e. always at a certain position relative to the display) when I navigate into the 360 video (like a logo). Would this be possible to achieve with Premiere?
It is something similar to youtube adv that shown on 360 videos and stay on the screen when you navigate into the video but not sure how they do this. Also got a plug-ins (OVRdrop from ovrdrop.hotrian.com/) to miror window (for 2d video) on VRstream when viewing 360 videos and the window can be locked to the headset. Still try to get it recordered to 360 on screen.
LIFE in 360 tips for putting text in 360 photos! I've tried a few times but once I open the image in Photoshop it looks like the 360 metadata is lost and when I try to post it on Facebook for example it doesn't recognize as a 360 photo anymore

Thanks! Yeah I had a 2nd lav mic recording but unfortunately the connection was dodgy and it recorded the sound of my pocket lol
It happens. I'm sure Røde would sort you out with their audio gears with the amount of content you're churning out fm Oz.

Not that I know of.. that would be done with the player you’re using and not the video editing software 👍

Hmm the orientation can be adjusted in plugin, however it sounds like maybe you want something 3D?
change the value of stereo disparity. I play with that and teak it to my liking.
