The Old Guard does a fantastic job giving final respects to the fallen and their loved ones. I was a driver and drove to over 30 cemetery’s in the region. These casket teams are great at what they do. Crisp professional soldiers giving the fallen the highest respect they deserve for wearing a military uniform for our nation. God bless everyone involved.
We were raised RED WHITE and BLUE and ARMY GREEN and when dad passed , his military funeral was done in honer . I felt bad for them because it was so hot here that sweat just poured down their faces . There was so much dignity and grace . I thank all of our military .😢

I was a part of burial detail at ft Lewis Washington for 6 months I guess. It was 45 years ago. What an honor. 21 gun salute, taps in the background. The families felt a part of the loved ones military life. We covered Oregon and Washington State.

I did funeral details and man that was one of the toughest things I ever had to do, holding back the tears of the family that is in mourning it hits home.
I had a great uncle who was killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor. He was trying to seim to safety but was hit with machine gun fire from a Japanese plane. My great grandmother didn't want her son buried in Hawaii but because the war was on, the military wouldn't yet ship his remains home. That poor, heartbroken woman waited years for her son's remains & she died not long after he was buried in South Dakota with the other members of our family.
I will soon join him but I will be at the Pikes Peak Veterans Cemetery Colorado Springs Colorado. 23 years US Navy. And my fathers burial flag will be used for me.
My father should've had this kind of funeral. But hus wife cremated him & had no service. My father served in every branch of military. He served in viet nam. Korea. & stayed in the reserves for years after no longer active duty. He was a chopper gunner, later an air chopper medic.... 😢😢❤❤ he deserves this respect. Not to be just burnt up & like he never existed.
Yeah, he deserves final military honors. I’m a veteran and I serve with a local honor guard. We do services for people that were buried six months ago. We do celebrations of life with no urn or casket. Maybe you could check with a local VFW or American Legion and see if they could do something…at least display, fold, and present you a flag. I feel so bad for you and I hope you can get some recognition for a man that served in all 4 branches of the military. I have never in my 60 years ever heard of that. I know people that have served in 2 and heard rumors of someone who maybe kinda served in 3 but all 4…incredible.
