Shabbat Shalom. I don't have to restrain myself - I don't have enough ability, to say enough thanks for this teaching in debate format. Really eye-opening!
Very interesting. I second the point the rabbi made at 22:00. As a muslim, I should personally let go of bad deeds before moving on to doing good deeds. You can do them simultaneously but letting go is more important. BUT when helping other, you compel them to do good deeds before asking them to stop the bad deeds. And it really depends on how great of good or bad the deed is. Deeds are a way for spiritual growth or death. If you're doing a bad deed that's suffocating your spirit then stopping that is more important than doing a minor good deed.
28:00 it's easy, rabbi Friedman. Your wife would much rather forgive you for not buying her flowers or forgetting her birthday than buying flowers to another woman.
I enjoy when both show up for debating together ❤️ ❤️ they make you think
Knowledge speaks, Wisdom listens
Excellent subject and format.

Sin by commission doing what you shouldn't do.
Sin by omission, not doing what you should do.
