Remake Leon is nice only to Ashley,he was cold, sarcastic and kinda aggressive to everyone else, even Ada,while OG Leon is cold with Ashley but nice to Luis,Mike and Ada.
I feel the flirting is a little sweeter and more impactful in the remake. Because we consistently see Ashley be a compassionate person and caring about Leon beyond "I need him to safely get out of here" and Leon clearly acknowledges that she saved him a few times too. Yes, they could probably never be a couple, but the remake gives them a little bit more of a fire-forged friendship, which makes their interactions a lot more sincere.
I don’t see how they can’t be a couple when Ada doesn’t commit and she’s currently hovering around 40 years old in the lore. Leon is 36. If he wants kids, or marriage, Ashley is a good bet.

The original ending, she wanted to have relations. The new remake, she is heavily matured and ask if he wanted to be a handsomely paid body guard. I think it'd be cool to see her in the modern timeline as an experienced agent, free of fear due to her experiences in 4 and beyond. She'd be a good compliment to Leon, who I think will always carry a bit of fear in him(fear of not being able to save others, not for himself). Ashley's nature makes it seem like she'd be able to balance expectations with the reality of the job in order to stay the path.

Re2: Leon gets close with Claire and kisses Ada Re4: Leon gets Ashley in love with him Re Death Island: Leon is holding Jills hand Dude gets all the women
I forgot just how cheesy the original line is lol. She just straight up offers herself up to him and it sounds terrible, at least in the remake it's a subtle hint that she has developed feelings and wants to keep him close to her and things are left ambiguous because he doesn't coldly reject her like the original. Leon also hints at how much more they put into her character because she's able to grow and change through the story. Original Ashley started as a brat and carried on being a brat until the end, in the remake she starts as a scared little girl who grows up and becomes strong through the experience. Leon can look to her as a reliable person and friend even if nothing happened between them. It's nice they tried to make her more of a character instead of a thing you have to protect and can occasionally perv on. Though tbh they left that more ambiguous since he doesn't straight up reject her and they ride off ignoring communications lol. Kinda leaves it to your imagination if they took a detour on the way back.
i know this feeling, They got THIS chemistry of being a couple in this remake. It's like put them in one place to have a conversation, and that Sparks shows immediately.
If anybody noticed, the original is actually some kind of justice for Leon who have been through hell by Capcom having Ashlyey being thrown out into the sea and that was Priceless for me in the days. Now, im waiting for the full steam unlock to play this game. Cant wait
I acknowledge that Remake Ashley almost certainly has a crush on Leon - and I mean who the hell could blame her - but I always read their relationship in the remake developing into something more like a big brother and younger sister and I really, really like that
This is the type of remake that works, keeps the original story and character intact while improving the gameplay and overall quality, no it's not perfect but its the type of remake I'm happy to play
If it weren't for the island, I would love them to fall in love with each other. Leon Ashley. I would love them to get married. They suit each other very well.
- Ashley: y'know, I can put a word on my dad, have you assign for my detail, if you're interested... - Leon: you don't need me, you proved you can handle yourself. - Leon, 6 years later: wait... F*ck!
Overtime dialogue was 10x more overt. the remake’s “I could have you assigned to my detail if you’re interested” was subtle enough that it could be read platonic or romantic. What was really different was Leon’s reaction to her. His remake version was softer and they removed the Ada remark altogether.
for some reason I feel the original feels more touching, I like how Leon smiles when he sees Ashley appear on the surface, and for more interesting dialogue the original I think
Yea agree. The original cutscene is short, sweet and has a bit of comedic effect. A nice little ending that concludes the crazy adventure you both went through. The new one feels more like a movie scene. Like being dramatic for the sake of being dramatic that just ends up feeling a bit empty and bland
Leon turns down willing females for a honey-pot spy that doesn't even care about him. At least in the original, he made an attempt at Hunnigan. Kept him from being a total simp.
In the remake he doesn't even chase or care that much about Ada,he was very clear about the two of them,he said they should go on their separate ways,he also rejected her offer for a ride,I think this version of Leon doesn't even care about what he feels,he is still battling his inner demons, too broken for chasing someone or commit to a relationship.
Remake Leon barely feels like Leon. He’s supposed to be jaded and bored as hell due to Racoon city which is why he takes nothing seriously and he’s highly sarcastic Also of course they had to make Ashley "competent" and less immature to not offend the western audience
Glad Capcom turned Ashley into a well mannared lady that everyone loves in the remake instead of that annoying, crazy teenager. It's true the original is legendary for other aspects, but the Ashley change is something everyone have gladly accepted, including me ❤️
You know that OG ashley was annoying when everyone thought that she was a Teenager... Ashley has 21 Years old... 21 she is a grown woman but she literally behaves like a girl... so the Remake did Justice with her
Ashley: You know, I could put in a word with my dad. Have you assigned to my detail, if you are interested ? Leon: You don't need me. You proved you can handle yourself... Was that his usual cold way of saying No (like he did with claire on RE2 remake when Sherry suggested that they were bf-gf) or was he actually that dense to think that she just wanted to give him a 'security details' job ? The original ending, she wanted to have relations.
The new remake, she is heavily matured and ask if he wanted to be a handsomely paid body guard.
Both are good base on which characteristic of Ashley the viewer likes more. The original still holds up in it's visuals to this very day two decades later.
@@Giddygoodgidgudyeah that’s exactly why I like the REmake Ashley so much better. She actually seemed to like Leon and had character development, she didn’t just want to hook up with him.
Ashley on the remake is more mature than her original counterpart.
OG made her look like a 16 year old girl when she was supposed to be 20.
Remake makes her more mature to make it believable that she is a college student
@@mysteryace2129 True. Especially when she wears her jacket.
@@mysteryace2129 college students mature?? 😂
@@himelotus159 ofc yes, normally would be more matured compared to 16 years ole
I think it'd be cool to see her in the modern timeline as an experienced agent, free of fear due to her experiences in 4 and beyond. She'd be a good compliment to Leon, who I think will always carry a bit of fear in him(fear of not being able to save others, not for himself). Ashley's nature makes it seem like she'd be able to balance expectations with the reality of the job in order to stay the path.
Ashley: how about we do some... "Overtime"? 😉
Leon: NO THANKS, BRO!
“If it’s not Chris, you can miss.” -Leon 😅
In the original RE4, I'm with Leon rejecting Ashley. I mean do you see how annoying she is in the game? But the remake, I wish Leon would have accepted the invitation. :)))
What is annoying about her? She's not annoying at all to me.
@@戦場ヶ原ひたぎ-r8w all those "Leon! Helppp! get annoying really quick. Ok. I might have exaggerated a little bit but people overall didnt get too excited escorting Ashley in the original.
@@nhitc6832 I liked the original because of Ashley and her voice, and she doesn't shout Leon help when she's not in trouble. And many people like the original Ashley over the remake one. Personally, I don't think she's annoying and I find her cute. The remake Ashley is good too.
He makes a comment about knife safety, so obviously, he knows what she means but is coy about it. It is not a full rejection, but he is flattered. He still won't do it since she is his boss's daughter

Honestly, Ashley is bae material in this remake. I did not like her at all on the OG RE4 but on the remake I absolutely love her. I have never liked Ada that much. I like her but I do not see the why it HAS to be her. I would really like to see Ashley and Leon interact in future RE games.

I like how Leon was rejected by Cunningham (I think her name was?) after rejecting Ashley
Hunnigan*, and yeah, almost instant karma xd

She didn't rejected him. She just said he was still on duty and blinked at him.
Cunningham 💀💀💀
LEON REMEMBER HIS IMPORTANT DUTY TO CONTINUE THE REDFIELD BLOODLINE!!
Overtime huh?
Interesting overtime there Ashley stealing Leon from Ada
Actually They Did
In The Parallel Universe

If anybody noticed, the original is actually some kind of justice for Leon who have been through hell by Capcom having Ashlyey being thrown out into the sea and that was Priceless for me in the days. Now, im waiting for the full steam unlock to play this game. Cant wait
We need that pop star skin in the remake
They can give you gore but no way they give you boobs and exposed skin

Woke culture took it away.
Ashley: How about some extra hours?
Leon: No thanks, bro
"Islands gonna blow"
With such urgency then watching them slowly descend down the elevator was funny to me
That's how u say no without saying no xD
Original: straight up No.
Remake: Heh…no…maybe….
I acknowledge that Remake Ashley almost certainly has a crush on Leon - and I mean who the hell could blame her - but I always read their relationship in the remake developing into something more like a big brother and younger sister and I really, really like that
💁🏿♀️🫗🐴
LOL Should have left in the "ashley dropped out of the jet ski" scene in the new game. That was hilarious.
Leon has playble handsome looks but surprisingly. Honest and wholesome to the real women he loves
He didn't say no in the remake😂😂
When Ashley shows up: "My name is Leon Scott Kennedy"
When Ada shows up: "My name is Leon Simp Kennedy"
@Gid Gud Bro he literally said following a lady lead is just isn't my style and woman to ada in original lmao.
The amount of flirting Ashley did and how Leon just casually rejected all of them. I felt really bad for her.
"even though you could use a leason in knife safety" bruh...alright leon calm down.
Did you heard Ashley voice line from original and female
Ashley: it's gonna what
This is the type of remake that works, keeps the original story and character intact while improving the gameplay and overall quality, no it's not perfect but its the type of remake I'm happy to play
I'm starting to understand why sweetheart isn't always the compliment we guys think it is.
If it weren't for the island, I would love them to fall in love with each other. Leon Ashley. I would love them to get married. They suit each other very well.
The intent was the same, but the execution was better. I like new Ashley.
Blows my mind Leon said no to some “overtime”
why?? he based
- Ashley: y'know, I can put a word on my dad, have you assign for my detail, if you're interested...
- Leon: you don't need me, you proved you can handle yourself.
- Leon, 6 years later: wait... F*ck!

They ride through the ocean on a jet ski I doubt they would make it with a limited amount of fuel
Ada preps another rocket launcher
Ashley : "leon...how abou-"
Leon : "No thanks, Bro"
The dialogue from RE 4 is real when she said about sleep 😮
Leon seems to be so fed up with Ashley 😂 while Remake Leon seems to have a good relationship with her now
Man I love the new Ashley so much, I genuinely wanted to protect her throughout the game
Lmao there was more tension between Leon and Ashley in the remakes than in original games 😭🤣 Same as with Claire
He has more interaction with Ashley that with Claire and Ada together. And yet 90% ppl want him to be Ada's simp wtf
@@NightCatty it's simply because THEY are Ada simps.
@@watchmesquatchbecause ada is his love interest tf leon doesn't have feelings for Ashley or claire, only ada
Both hinted overtime imo
Overtime dialogue was 10x more overt. the remake’s “I could have you assigned to my detail if you’re interested” was subtle enough that it could be read platonic or romantic.
What was really different was Leon’s reaction to her. His remake version was softer and they removed the Ada remark altogether.
With how people love this ashley, At this point they NEED to bring her back in the story, I'm not talking about some other remake but newer version

for some reason I feel the original feels more touching, I like how Leon smiles when he sees Ashley appear on the surface, and for more interesting dialogue the original I think
Yes right thank you
no
I AM CRYING I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONEEEEE WHO THINKS OG SCRIPT HERE IN THIS SCENE FEELS MORE TOUCHING
i mean if ashley went missing again he'd have to bust his ass trying to help her again so him smiling kinda make sense

Also of course they had to make Ashley "competent" and less immature to not offend the western audience

Glad Capcom turned Ashley into a well mannared lady that everyone loves in the remake instead of that annoying, crazy teenager. It's true the original is legendary for other aspects, but the Ashley change is something everyone have gladly accepted, including me ❤️
0:02 "Now, who the FU-?! OH, SH😮! THE PRESIDENT'S DAUGHTER!"
You know that OG ashley was annoying when everyone thought that she was a Teenager... Ashley has 21 Years old... 21 she is a grown woman but she literally behaves like a girl... so the Remake did Justice with her
A man will never forget his first lady love, no matter how beautiful and rich girl he gets after.

She wanted him assigned to be her detail and not the security one 😈😈😈
I feel like Leon is done with this part, maybe he needed a break. He had consistent training and punishments so I guess he be like "nooooo".
he tried to hit on the girl on the phone after this interaction on the original so he ain't tired he is just picky when it comes to p*ssy

a lot of interactions are better in the original and dialogue too, i really miss leon's personality, he feels dull and boring in the remake and the one liners fall flat cause of that.
