Chris was definitely in his prime during RE5, he's doesn't seem to be at that point going forward. He even seems sluggish in village, and to be honest. Even at that point, he still retains quick movement and physical prowess. But he definitely looks his best in Village.
I think his curse is that he has seen so many comrades fall in the war agains't bioterrorism, but his luck and skills keep him alive, making him a grizzled and bitter veteran, not knowing when ''this all ends'' as he puts it himself.

Interesting enough Captain America and Chris Redfield were voiced by Roger Craig Smith for a few video games and cartoons. So this could be the second time now that Captain America and Chris Redfield shared the same voice actor.
Bringing back the classic design of Chris is the best move Capcom ever pulled since it didn't worked last time when they changed Chris. Classic Chris delivered the expression of a seasoned zombie fighter accurately.
It's clear that Chris intended to have Ethan and Rose taken to secured containment area in case they turned out to be infected. Once there he could explain to Ethan that it wasn't actually Mia and that the real one is likely dead. Whether it would be Chris telling him or someone else Ethan would be trapped and able to grieve and not be able to get involved. Chris didn't know Miranda was still alive and didn't expect Ethan and Rose to and up in the Village. Chris and his team were more than capable of defeating all the bosses in the Village with their weapons, tech, training, and experience.

I love how Village shows Ethan's growth as a fighter. When Chris' guy grabs him from behind in the lab, he immediately flips him over his shoulder as a reflex. But I also like that it stays real enough that he still loses to the operative (which would be crazy if he didn’t). Just efficient "show don't tell" story craft
Yeah I liked him as Chris, but I must say that this one fits Chris better in this game. In 5 and 6 Chris' character had a bad temper (vengeful, screaming a lot and something like that) and RCS' voice was perfect for that, whereas in 8 he seems more calm and collected so this voice fits well for him

Chris’ current voice actor has voiced Javier Garcia, Carlos and now Chris. He is now one of my favorite voice actors there are, even though I didn’t like his Carlos, but it was just for personal reasons.
This was peak Chris Redfield. RE7 Chris looked like a combination of Johnny Cage and Jeremy Renner. Also that one-handed table swipe at the beginning showed more of Chris's power and presence than that Boulder punch ever did. 😅

I WOULD love a dlc showing Chris side of his story, like what he was doing when Ethan was trying to find Rosemay, why Chris wasn't happy with the BSAA, (if someone could explain it, that'd be a great help.) to the point he bumped into Ethan in the factory, or when he gives the BSAA a piece of his mind, which ever. Imagine if it WAS him at the end picking up Rosemay instead of the other dude.
It's crazy, throughout all these years chris is my favorite character.... But only because of re5 chris. And even though I'm not a fan much of any of his other designs, he's (re5) single handedly keeping me through the series.

Chris in this game sounds a lot like the guy who voices Captain America in Marvel's Avengers (2020). Interesting enough Captain America and Chris Redfield were voiced by Roger Craig Smith for a few video games and cartoons. So this could be the second time now that Captain America and Chris Redfield shared the same voice actor.

It's clear that Chris intended to have Ethan and Rose taken to secured containment area in case they turned out to be infected. Once there he could explain to Ethan that it wasn't actually Mia and that the real one is likely dead. Whether it would be Chris telling him or someone else Ethan would be trapped and able to grieve and not be able to get involved. Chris didn't know Miranda was still alive and didn't expect Ethan and Rose to and up in the Village. Chris and his team were more than capable of defeating all the bosses in the Village with their weapons, tech, training, and experience.

I love how Village shows Ethan's growth as a fighter. When Chris' guy grabs him from behind in the lab, he immediately flips him over his shoulder as a reflex. But I also like that it stays real enough that he still loses to the operative (which would be crazy if he didn’t). Just efficient "show don't tell" story craft
It feels wrong that Roger Craig Smith isn't voicing Chris. This actor does a decent job, though
Yeah I liked him as Chris, but I must say that this one fits Chris better in this game. In 5 and 6 Chris' character had a bad temper (vengeful, screaming a lot and something like that) and RCS' voice was perfect for that, whereas in 8 he seems more calm and collected so this voice fits well for him

Old protagonist apparently kills an innocent person in the intro that turns out to be the Big Bad/final boss. After the truth is revealed new and old protagonist team up and save the day.
