@@oliviasong1440 Thank you! Finally someone realizes the absurdity of Chris fighting him hand to hand and winning. I've heard all the excuses (Wesker wasn't trying, Chris bulked up, etc) and they're all pathetic. Chris won because of his good guy plot armor, nothing more.
The fact that Wesker kept and still used his Samurai Edge after betraying S.T.A.R.S. all those years ago proves just how good the Kendo brothers were at their craft.
I hope he’s got it in re4 remake or that silver ghost with the suppressor fuck it why not both?

After Spencer revealed Wesker's origins, you could tell it affected him mentally. He started making more impulsive decisions, lost his temper more often, and personally got involved this time instead of being in the background. Finding out his entire life was a lie and not the perfect human he was led to believe made him snap

It was probably just a clone though. You can hear the same competent Wesker in Umbrella corp's mp that's considered to be canon and takes place in 2016. Wesker in re4 wanted to rebuild umbrella using all viruses, not destroy the world using one like in re5.

some closed-minded people would criticize him for his over-the-top performance with exagerated accent, but that's wasn't his fault in reality. it was just Capcom who must've asked him to play like that. and in this game, Wesker was about to complete the goal he prepared for years with the viruses and parasites he found. becoming a living god thanks to the Uroboros. and when he was about to achieve his goal, he become excited, until loosing his mind a little, so it kinda make sense. It's often the case with villains in fiction
@@giannilyanicks1718 This is true, in most cases a voice actor isn't really in charge of the voice they end up using. They can introduce ideas, but all decisions they make are moderated by a director of some sort (there are exceptions, but this is usually the case).
A VA can be good or bad, but a bad product isn't always reflective of their ability. And personally, I love how over-the-top he is.
He's cool but Pablo Kuntz, Peter Jessop, and Richard Waugh are better.

No matter your thoughts on RE5 or 6’s stories/gameplay, you can’t deny that the cutscenes were top notch
The frame rate is horrible for the more frantic camerawork (and for pre-rendered cutscenes too- ridiculous) and a lot of really pathetic moments, but the fight choreography and movement tactics every now and again were great.

RE has always been a bit of a strange box of worms
RE fans can hate on RE5 for being an action game. But you gotta admit, Wesker is the coolest villain in this game.
I would say Capcom was allowed to branch into doing new things, seeing as how people liked 4 for the new camera angle style, how the multiplayer genre was really live at the time, and venturing into a new enviorment a new culture (new to the series, african culture isn't new, obviously), and a militaristic angle that builds on the story of Chris being in the military. Also tying off loose ends with Wesker as he was kind of left on a cliffhanger in 4, as well as bringing back Chris into a game, which he hasn't been in a RE in a while at the time, last time was Code: Veronica. The game had all the reasons to be good, but I think people didn't like how easy it was.
Now, the game most RE fans hate is RE6. Jake being added was okay, and Sherry, Ada and Leon returning was good idea too, especially Sherry. But pure hollywood action with the story that nobody can remember was a mistake. Emphasis on hollywood, uncountable amount of lens flairs in 6.

7:50 That line straight up triggered some kind of PTSD in me from years ago when I played this fight on the professional difficulty in the game as a teenager. It took me and a co-op buddy of mine hours and countless attempts to finally beat it. One the hardest boss fights in gaming for me. It's up there with COD4's Mile High Club on veteran, and Halo 3's Cortana on Legendary.
Wesker clearly has the best voice and combat style.

This game brought me up into the franchise.
Most of the fans hated the game, but to me was something extremely unique even nowadays. Graphics, animations, voice acting, characters; this game had everything I like.
As someone who grew up with the original games, it's because most of the older fans saw this, and RE6, as a huge kick in the face to what made the RE franchise so beloved in the first place. I understand change is gonna happen with a long running series of games, so I've made my peace with it. My only complaint was the clunky like gameplay and retarded AI when playing solo, and the outlandish way they killed off Wesker in the final fight. But with RE7 and Village, it's given us the best of both worlds. But honestly, no one is ever going to be truly happy no matter what capcom does

This is the character at his weakest in terms of writing. This is one of many contributors to the series' decline. And no one wants to see that.

So amazing. RE5 got a shit ton of unnecessary hate. Maybe I’m just biased as this was the game that introduced me to the series but D.C. Douglas’ performance as Wesker is one of the best I’ve seen in a video game.
This single performance made him one of my favourite villains in fictional history. Right next to the Reapers from Mass Effect and Darth Vader.

I have never been okay with this being his end, so yes, he must be alive. I'm still secretly hoping that they decannonize 5 and 6. I may adore the gameplay of 6 but it absolutely should not be in the series cannon story.
If they just redo 5 to fix its mistakes and make a different story altogether for 6, both in the style of these new remakes, I would LOVE that.

It definitely isn’t. Uroboros is much more powerful than the mold and is very selective. Either it turns you into the crazy monsters we’ve seen in RE5 or gives you abilities similar to Wesker if you have perfect DNA

I just wanna say his fights are cool but he's clearly toying with them in every fight. If he felt like it he could literally teleport into them and just turn their guns and knives on themselves before they even realize it's happening. Still cool fights.
Since he’s predominantly fighting against Chris, yes Sheva’s there too but it’s pretty clear he’s more focused on Chris, I think the reason he doesn’t do that is because he wants to savor every bit of pain he causes him. Which is also noticeable in the scene with Jill where she started to resist and Wesker intended for Jill to either stop resisting and kill Chris and Sheva, which would’ve broken Chris’s heart, or for Jill to continue to resist until it eventually killed her, which also would’ve broken Chris’s heart. So yeah Wesker definitely could’ve done what you said, but since it was Chris he was up against he decided to make it hurt as best as he could.
They can clearly still get a read on him at times so I think he's just fast enough to dodge bullets but not move so fast that time stands still.

It really would cement him as the Series "Big bad."

I feel like the most illogical yet logical way to bring him back would be what star wars did with emperor palpatine.. Just have him make clones of himself in the event he dies, all the while just pulling more strings in hiding for an indefinite time until Chris dies because he knows chris would be the only one capable of stopping him (boulder punching and what not)

Its no biggy if you play as Wekser and conquer the world. I would prefer that .
My favorite resident evil game. I know its far from horror and any 'resident evil' games. But I like it as a "game". The story the plot, everything is incredible and amazing. The gameplay and enjoyment was peak for me. I first played the game as a kid. I hope they dont fck everyting up if they make re5 remake.

First 2 min is the definition of when the plot makes the good guys inmortal when in reality they should be dead in seconds against someone like Wesker
4:03 Maybe it's just my brain overthinking stuff, but for me the moment feels... odd. Because usually you except a villain to ignore or positively act on the touch from a pawn. Think something like "Yes, I am quite a diamond. You wish you were me/with me!". Instead, Wesker tenses up, like he just felt a damn roach run over him. I don't know whether it's because he actually thinks of Excella as a disgusting insect with pathetic urges and needs, because after that his answer to her is a mock and her mutation (Surprise!), or he got triggered. After all, he's a bioweapon, and what kind of "childhood" Weskers went through affected them in the future, so maybe it wouldn't be surprising to see Albert react in this way.
