The reason why a lot of Black owned businesses are expensive is because they are charged higher interest rates and specifically in the beauty and wig industry Black owned businesses dont get the same benefits and access to certain oroducts as compared to the Asian community. I saw this first hand when my Mama and i ran a corner store. Being half Black, and my Mom Korean, we had a whole network community that supported Korean owned businesses, with much cheaper ,erchandise than if you bought them from suppliers that didn't cater to Korean businesses. And rarely did i see other Black people in these stores. That always didn't sit right with me. So while other store owners were shopping at sams club or Costco or Cash and carry, Korean store owners could buy certain items from retailers who got thier items at a huge discount by getting them straight from China or other Asian countries. This then translates to lower prices. Just saying.
This is 100% true. Koreans have a huge hold over the beauty supply industry and will put in ridiculous rules for black business owners when trying to host and distribute the same products. They cut big discounts for their own but won't do the same for us. They don't want us capitalizing off our own beauty. I don't see how that doesn't infuriate us. I actively seek out black owned beauty supply stores
This is genuinely so interesting, I didn't know there was a reason for the price increases! Do you think if black people had similar connections (importing from different african countries) we'd have the same efficiency as asian owned businesses?
You are so correct. My wife and I had a boutique and just could not continue to pay the high price for merchandise. Not making any profit because of the wholesale price being so high. It was heartbreaking and stressful.
So basically, these Asians tend to have connections within their community. I don’t blame them for doing what they are supposed to. Community helping each other.

I just want to know what they are eating? I am day 2 after getting all my wisdom teeth removed and currently starving because i can't open my mouth to chew so I can only swallow soft foods. The whole experience has been terrifying and I pray I don't have any nerve damage but my oral surgeon was not one anyone would recommend. Whatever they are eating looks delicious 🤤
