    Extremely helpful! Too many of these “how to” videos are either without voice or don’t clearly show where the components are located nor how to remove them to get to the clutch. You covered it all here. Thanks for this post!👍👍

    This helped me replace the AC clutch in our 2008 Sentra. Went smoothly since I knew what to expect before tearing things apart.

    I fixed my wife's car today thanks to this. Harbor Freight snap ring pliers did not do the job, but the ones from Lowe's did. Impact also a must for that 10mm bolt. I just couldn't pin the pulley down to do it any other way. Thanks a lot for this video!

    Thank you for taking the time to create your videos. I look forward to watching many more as my daughter recently purchased a 2012 SE-R Spec V and the air is no longer working. I checked every possible cause and it is the clutch. Parts are ordered and you'll be hanging out with me in my driveway in 2 days while I work on it. Don't worry, we'll be 6 feet apart :) - Thanks again.

    I don't need to replace the compressor clutch but I now know how to route the belt, so thanks for that!

    Protip for the next guy. There is a much easier way to remove the front of the clutch. The plate is threaded with M8x1.25. If you get a bolt that size, thread it in by hand, then use an impact driver it will push the whole plate off on its own.

      Man that screw worked perfectly.. I just had to hand thread it about 5 turns and it lifted right off and I pulled it off with the screw. This needs to be a main tip for this video.

    Hey I just wanted to say thank you very much you saved me a lot of time and money. I'm no mechanic Just a pipe welder but because of this video I fixed my car in 2 hours the only thing I will say is I had a bit of turbel finding just the Clutch locally even the dealer only sold the entire compressor. For 600 dollar's I found just clutch online for 89.99 anyway thanks again there I would have had no idea had it not been for you how to even get to the thing oh and for any one that's going to do this good snap ring tool is a must like he says I went ahead and got a pare for like 40 dollar's and glad I did one other thing go ahead and get a few of those plastic clips for the splash grad you will break a few lol if you like me

    I’ve tried this repair trice already- finally went and bought the OEM CLUTCH kit…. The dealership refuses to do the clutch repair because it fails often- I don’t know if other people here are having the same issue but after a while the pulley et so hot the bearings just burn up. Thanks if anyone has any advice

    Hi can I ask you a question, my 2018 Nissan Sentra the AC is working fine so it is engaging just fine, what I do hear only when the ac is on a sound like a pulley is going bad, what doesn't make any sense to me and I can be wrong even without the ac on the fact that the belt is on it shouldn't the ac pulley be moving all the time, so do you know why only when the ac is on I am starting to hear a sound like a pulley is starting to go bad....

    I have a noise coming from the clutch area. AC has always worked no problems but the clutch will spin for a sec and get stuck and stop moving. Is it possible it’s just the clutch?

      If there's an excessive amount of noise coming from the clutch it would definitely be worth replacing before it goes out.

    I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra, mine also says special edition on it. I tried ordering the clutch off of eBay, and after 6 hours of troubleshooting, we figured out the gear socket on the new clutch wasn't the correct size despite the part saying it was for 2007-2012 sentras. Anybody know if the 2012 model has a different compressor than the other trim models??

    so my ac is broken and my mechanics told me it’s the compressor that needs replacement but it’s gonna be like $500+ for the labor. realistically, is this something that be done by someone who has no idea what they’re doing. i know nothing about cars or the mechanisms that go into how cars work but if i can fix it, im saving like over $200 which is ideal. also could i get all the tools i would need from an auto parts store to rent out so i try to replace it myself?

      Tires are first and foremost though. I rin Nitto NT555 G2's, 225/40 R18 all corners.

    • @thecarizon504
      @thecarizon504  4 года назад

      My AC was not louder when I replaced the clutch. I could hear the clutch engaging with the compressor but once the AC is on it sounds exactly the same.

    • @AlanColon1979
      @AlanColon1979 3 года назад

      I know it's been a few months but just in case you hadn't figured it out, If it's loud or you feel the dashboard vibrating it is probably because the blower motor (the fan that actually moves the air) is out of balance. Mine broke so I replaced it and it turned out that somehow a squirrel had pushed palm nuts into my air intake to hide them and they ended up in my blower, unbalancing it and causing severe vibration/noise.
      Once replaced, it ran perfectly. It took me a good 3 or 4 hours to do mainly because my apparently freakishly large hands made it goddamn hard to deal with the small space. I followed this video: ruclips.net/video/lACkVo2rGMs/видео.html
