Should nascar have thrown the caution on the last lap for Ricky Stenhouse?
NO. JUST NO. I think even the person writing this comment knows they shouldn’t have.
They haven't before, why start now?
No
*no*
NO ! AND I GOT TO SAY I WAS CUS'IN NASCAR
Kyle Busch: "There is my exit, GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY ELSE"
Too soon...
Lol really he did a good job not spinning it out
In the words of Lewis Hamilton,
“That was manipulated, man”
Yep. I didn’t know Michael Masi was still around LOL.

good on cindric to make sure blaney wasn’t robbed on that final restart. time to take the all star race back to charlotte. or just anywhere else. maybe atlanta would be good
Yes, anywhere else.
Atlanta with the superspeedway package or as you said back to charlotte.... with the superspeedway package. Sounds good to me.
Darlington
All star race Belongs in Charlotte 109% and the only place it should be. Worked fine there for 20 something years.
I think Atlanta with the same exact package that they just ran, with the repave, would be awesome. I’d also like to see darlington, Richmond, or a return to Charlotte with the super speedway package. Anywhere but Texas again
There’s no way you found 12 minutes worth of highlights from that race…
😂
I turned it of before the last stage.
Oh yeah, they're going to replay the wreck that took out all their darlings a dozen times...Hendrick and Gibbs crying towels out!
No post race interviews, switched to soccer immediately. All that pre race hoopla for hours then just abruptly stopping coverage is maddening. No follow up with drivers or victory lane ruined the whole reason to watch at all.
100%
Agree! Horrible coverage
Formula 1 Does It Too!
The entire season has been pretty great thus far… it’s just…
Texas.
Texas like I said earlier shouldn't have lowered the banking in turns 1&2.
Everytime they get the second groove worked in they repave it or change the banking for some stupid reason

As hard as NASCAR and Fox try to make this event worth watching, they’re putting lipstick on a pig. 💤👎🏻
Great stuff from Blaney to stay in front after the refball. Also shouts to my boy Suarez finishing P5. He is pushing hard this season and I hope he gets that first win this year.
He'll get one soon!

THIS HAS TO GO ON NASCARS WORST LIST.
Yeah this race was a disaster, starting with 3 very popular drivers getting taken out in a wreck in stage 2.

It literally is on Jeff gluck list
I can’t even describe how glad I am I missed this race today. Man I love NASCAR but man I HATE NASCAR…..
Seriously this BS cannot happen again….
Understandable
Tires, a weak track, weird calls. Same. They need to rotate the All Star Race location or just keep it off Texas in the future.
@@dexterhochstetler3727 at the bare minimum get Texas away from NASCAR.
@@erikcorr3261 it's even worse hearing the history of the track. It just wasn't ready for NASCAR and then they accidentally made it worse trying to fix it. Several times.

What a horrible race, horrible track, and horrible officiating in the end.

He's not wrong though, I don't know if it's the track or the tires, but it's just been problematic. I mean all and all, it's about clean air for these mile and a half tracks. But tires have been a big issue very recently
Keep crying if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all I was there and it was a great race
Rules are rules?????
Your dad kept me entertained thankfully. He's got such a nice mouth
Congratulations Ryan,well done.
Oh Nascar, such goofy rules. That would have been such a fiasco if someone else ended up winning.
Am I the only one that still thinks and feels the All-Star race belongs at Charlotte one week before the 600 like it used to be. ??
And now I start to wonder, what the heck is this with these new tires? O lord, have mercy, these tires rip apart faster than Reynolds Wrap.... Goodyear, AND NASCAR, I am speechless...... not enough words to describe how disappointed I am with these new tires.....
3400 pound car on a low profile tire on a banked surface with no air in it and tons of camber so they don't build plowing tight over the long run cause nascar wants to starve a 900 hp engine and not fully use the ground effects they built into the car by going slower than the xfinity cars is what's up with the tires
@@FTCSD wow.... people over politics.... not surprised about the hypocrites holiday that the executives of NASCAR every single week this year.... and they wonder why the Xfinity and Truck races are so much more exciting....
A good crew chief and driver work with what they have for the win-It's fair so long as everyone is running on the same tires; there's got to be a challenge somewhere.
No Limits Texas
Is literally a 1 groove race track
Yes they ruined my track
The so called All Star race has been a total joke for a lot of years, end it or find a better track, I think the attendance in the grandstands shows this event has out lived its hype long ago. find a neutral race track to hold it away from the greedy track owners of NASCAR, which we know is mainly them and Speedway Motorsports.
Top 5 worst Nascar event of all-time. No debate needed.
And you're wrong
@@laceyannejohnson38 I agree with them. 27 others do too.
New Hampshire last year too
Gimmicky. From the qualifying, the track selection, a caution 15 foot from the finish line, and the window net deal. Im just afraid this deal wont be able to sell 15,000 tickets in a few years.
It's the all star race. Since when is it not gimmicky.
Can we have one weekend that Denny isn't crying about something.
that caution at the checkered flag, worst call yet nascar.
Great race Blaney.!
Slapshoes brought me here, and it's no wonder I don't watch NASCAR much anymore but instead stick to my local short track.
Honestly, the highlight of this race was just that it ended. What fun is it watching guys run around completely unable to actually pass one another? How many lead changes were there in the entire race? How much more worse would have been had Busch, Larson, Chastain and Elliott not been taken out due to the same tire issues that have been plaguing this season? I’m pretty disappointed. Glad to see Ryan Blaney take the checkered flag, for sure, but otherwise this race wasn’t worth the time I spent watching it.
Texas never should've lowered the banking in turns 1&2
You could argue that they never should have built a cookie cutter oval in Texas.
@@wendigockel super speedway in texas is what they should do

@@Ziggy_Moonglow 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If he lost that would’ve been a Michael Masi moment
Nascar needs to change the tires again. These new ones are unsafe and unpredictable
Well another great tire debacle eliminating some of the best drivers. When is NASCAR going to get it's head out of Goodyear's you know what and let Firestone, Bridgestone, Pirelli, Hoosier, Dunlop, etc. make a real 17 in tire that will hold up more than 10 laps? Take a lesson from Indy Car, IMSA, Formula One etc. Crappy race today. Not going to go well for fans if this keeps up.
Hoosier is the perfect candidate for nascar imo, every driver has used them at some point in their short track days.
Yeah seriously the second they spin out the tires blow up 1sec after the brakes are locked up. Like really is the tire so thin u can't even use the brakes anymore without them all blowing out.
Like any major manufacturer they make the tire they're told to by the series
Goodyear is flies of the tire industry and you know what flies are attracted to.
@@user-kj7nw4zg1y Hes not saying to go Back to the 15 inch he's just saying to let another tire maker do the tires for NASCAR

But I rether watch supercross than nascar right now.
i'm always amazed at the high speed crashes that these cars can take with the drivers being ok... the technology related to driver safety in these cars is incredible
Skipped it. Should be on Saturday night.
All Star Race + Texas motor speedway = Nascar Suckin it again
Should have made Greg Abbott a speed bump.
Yep Nascar, keep pulling this BS and see how it works for your future! Stenhouse hits the wall, keeps control and all cars clear him yet you call a caution 1/4 second before Blaney takes the flag. Why? There is no why except you doing stupid selective garbage once again. Next gen looking more like Last Gen as the tires won't stay on. Just glad Blaney got the win still. Honestly looked like Denny backed off knowing what you did was just that stupid. And happy Bowyer voiced his feelings on it too. Quit trying to make things interesting, it's hard enough to watch the races as 1/2 of the time there is a commercial or side by side with commercials.
I can't believe nascar is still a thing. I quit watching 6 years ago, and haven't looked back.
Here's an idea for an All-star race....
-Each year, have some crazy rule, like unique engines, like small v8's with turbos, or something... Or run what you brung no restrictions on the performance...
- run different series race cars ( V8 supercars, modifieds, or historical nascar's builds, stadium super trucks)
- pick a track that the cup series doesn't run at, or a format that's unique
Just some ideas to actually make it interesting. Pick one or two, make the rules for the race unique and stick with it. Don't tweek it every year.
Or, better yet, don't do an all star race at all!
Kudos to Ryan, a WELL DESERVED WIN!! 👏🤗👍👌
It looked like NASCAR was trying to steal Ryan's obvious victory by throwing the yellow a second before he took the checkers. I was miffed about that.
Even the best of the best propped up and favored by NASCAR will have horrible days sometimes.
I think Toyota owns Texas Speedway, so maybe that's why NASCAR was trying to "steal Ryan's obvious victory". Nice to see Ford win in Toyota's own back yard.
They announced he won.
@@tompastian3447 really isn’t, Ford is Texas’s car manufacturer
Ok I am new to NASCAR, but I thought that when there is caution on last lap, the race is over. Or is it different in All-Star race?
You’re right - that’s normally the rule. It was only changed for this All-Star Race.
Bring the All-Star back to Charlotte, and maybe your ratings will shoot back up next season.
Talking to you, Phelps.
phelps doesn’t make that call
Nah.. It was getting bad there as well. It needs to be elsewhere... And not on a 1.5 mile track everytime
Do better Nascar. Rotate the All star race to new markets every year and promote the sport in a manner that doesn't portray us as a joke.
Like those races in Mexico or Canada?.........that sounds great
When is Good Year going to take blame for their part of failure this year? There is obviously an issue with this new tire!
Junk tires match the junk lug nut
I do agree with the obvious tire issues brought on by Goodyear and this new ackage, but I think the blame falls on the teams this week. It's a series of very short segments so they are probably running very aggressive setups, but still should have the durability to last more than 20 laps.
Never have never will
Best way to watch NASCAR: Totally skip the race, and wait for the highlights!
Chase Elliott was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Minding his own business, and BAM-O
This race was a full blown disaster
Why would the official put back the Checkered flag and only the yellow flag during the "FINAL LAP"?!! I guess it's because it's the "All-Star race".
I thought if the caution came out on the final lap, BOTH the yellow and checkered flag comes out! I don't have FS1, but that was gawd awful. NASCAR, stop having bullcrap like this!
We already knew race manipulation was okay for the company, but you guys really wanted to make it known tonight
yeah becoming like F1
Yes, that was really messed up.
@@makeabrae that makes no sense, F1 pulled some stuff last year one race for one safety car and that’s it. Nascar does this on a weekly basis and it usually depends on how certain drivers are doing so they can get their ROI for all their marketing and PR expenses

I hate missing races when they’re not on normal tv channels.
The 1 1/2 mile track is what killed the All-star race. Do something less confusing and more fun
What. A. DISASTER. Texas MS and Nascar deserve better.
The fact some are saying great race proves it's not about the product for some folks.. they have no idea what is going on in the world.
How did they come up with 12 and a half minutes of highlights?
I didn't watch the race but from the comments it sounds like they don't want to highlight the bad stuff, tires etc.
@@patfranks785 But they made sure we all got to see Abbott! Smh.
@@LDiamondz I'm a couple states away, I thought Abbott was liked. No?
🤷
@@patfranks785 In some places, he might be. Not so much in the areas that got blacked out last year, due to the antiquated energy grid.
How about an all star race at the Charlotte Roval? A place where drivers turn both left AND right with high speed segments to truly display who the best driver is.
NASCAR fans: Man this has been a great season so far
Texas:
No doughnuts no victory Lane I'm giving up on nascar I barely recognize it anymore
I noticed that. Blaney deserved it, too.
Do you mean doughnut burnout? If so, that depends on the driver himself. I prefer polish victory lap/backflip rather than tearing the tire & motor
Ryan Blaney usually doesn't do donuts. It tears equipment up. It goes back to him racing before he got to cup. He respects his team and teams money to not destroy a car or an engine for stupid antics, like doing donuts.
The new NASCAR race car looks so cool!
Was a way better race with last years package and that’s sad.

@@tretrail442 his last crash Jimmy broke his wrist holding the steering wheel in Indy car. He had a cast for awhile.
Yup one thing is for sure, he definitely took his hands off the wheel. Oof… I hope Larson is ok. I thought I saw him going out on a stretcher. I heard him say he was alright

The all-star needs to go to the Bristol dirt race. It's time for Nascar to dump Goodyear. Cutting a tire is one thing. Left rears going flat and causing serious wrecks is unacceptable
Adjust the wheel within its limits and there would be no problem; it's just the crew chiefs gambling.
@@NOXStellans that's right. You have a company that can't make a tire capable of what the race car can do. The same company that can't make good enough tires to put on farm wagons anymore because they can't handle the weight, or on our dually farm/work trucks

Why did Kyle Busch NOT pit after winning Stage 1? I get that he'd lose track position to whoever stayed out, but with 4 fresh tires, he'd have been able to get back to the front... instead of risking a tire going down... which it DID. So please edumucate me and tell me why he stayed out after his stage win? Please!
It seems clear to me that the teams did not anticipate tire deg to be that quick; otherwise, everyone would have pitted. Instead, none of the top 8 did after Stage 1.
Remember, Kyle just had to stay in the top 15 for the next stages in order to restart 1st in the last, so with tires seemingly not a concern at the end of Stage 1, it would be better to just stay clear of trouble and at the front of the pack. But, hindsight is 20/20.
@@threesonsrestorations4043 But, with his car on fresh tires, he could have easily gotten back even if 1/2 stayed out, dont you think?
