That is going to be so useful, I saw some discussion recently about WHIP output from obs and realised going straight from obs would be really useful for me and now here it is except even better it's vdo ninja that I'm already using
this is so sick. Im trying to find a good way for people to share their gameplay and game audio, without their discord audio. creating an obs output is the best option, but as far as ingesting those streams instantly, its pretty difficult to find the right tool. This is very close to what I need to make this happen. Just a shame I can't get it working with computers that use GTX 10 series cards.
Hi Steve. Thanks for all your hard work. What I would really love to do, is have a podcast, in OBS, that I could have a remote guest, and share a screen with them, and share a video that is on my hard drive. All whilst recording for publishing later. What are your thoughts?
Sounds reasonable. Sharing a video works, either via screen share or local file, however the local file video sharing isn't often used, so not as polished as other options. if you have OBS and a half decent computer, I dont see any reason it wouldn't work.
@@steve_seguin Yes, I have a half decent computer. Could you make a video of "how"? I'm getting on a bit, and I learn how to do something that's complicated, then the next time I go to do it again, I've forgotten. See my new channel, I've been learning everything from OBS to editing, to mic settings, lighting, cameras, vdo-ninja, the works. I'm trying to save the world.
@@steve_seguin Yes. I know. I feel like I'm walking on a treadmill at times. Professor Seyfried has clearly shown that the whole cancer industry is wrong. The damage to the Genes is a "Downstream Effect" of damage to the mitochondria. It's like arguing that the Sun is at the centre of the solar system, with everyone saying "No, That Can't Be" us humans and the earth are at the centre of everything. Frustrating to say the least. But we'll get there.
OBS hasn't officially released the feature yet, it's still being held back. At the moment, not a whole lot has changed, other than bug fixes. I'll probably do an update once we are a bit closer to the launch I think
I originally downloaded it here: github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/suites/9899493122/artifacts/478324343 But the feature never ended up being added to v29, and I don't know yet if it will be in v30. The version I download is old, so it might have quite a few bugs in it. You may need to build it yourself if you wish to have the feature currently.
Been following Steve's work for a bit now, very cool stuff.
Amazing work Steve! Very much looking forward to seeing this in practice.

INCREDIBLE work here, just amazing. Thanks Steve!

Would love a more detailed video since the updates.

how can you find whip on obs in 2024
Hi, I cant find the WHIP service in Obs Studio 29.02, does Obs Studio 29 have no support for whip?
I originally downloaded it here:
github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/suites/9899493122/artifacts/478324343
But the feature never ended up being added to v29, and I don't know yet if it will be in v30.

Can we do similar on vmix?
I'm not aware of that support yet. I'm sure in time
this is pretty cool! tip for the video though, the audio was really low. tough to hear in some parts
Thank you for that feedback.
