I am the owner of a Geely fuel vehicle. I've been driving it for ten years. It's very cheap and very durable. You can buy with confidence. At that time, cars were not as smart as they are now, and their configurations were relatively simple. Today’s Geely cars are already very smart.

First time here and I'm impressed with Ethan and the sleek SUV Geely Galaxy E5. Geely has a huge plant in Malaysia here with its subsidiary Proton and a matter of time the right-hand drive version arrives.
Geely has a presence in the Balkans, particularly in the former Yugoslavia. They’ll launch to Albania, Romania and Bulgaria too. Maybe we’ll see it in the UK in the future, given RHD availability.

surprised with that drawer under rear seat. this space is usually reserved for a gas tank or inverters on EVs. Under $20k in China also impressive considering its size and features-this makes the Tesla Model Y look like an American EV in China despite pioneering high quality EV at this price range.

Love seeing these cars, we need more small inexpensive EV’s with a minimum of 300 mile range here in the UK, we have tiny windy roads full of potholes add to that minuscule parking slots and you have a recipe for disaster for big cars, we really struggle with our Tesla MYLR but needed the range so we have to put up with the size….and chipped wheel rims !. Also need lots of spare parts available as I hear insurance companies over here really punish drivers with massive premiums as parts take ages to arrive

It is amazing to see how fast they have become a major player in the auto industry. I think I saw a clear roof in the E5 you were in. Was that a moon roof ?

In January 2021, Geely was $4.40/share. BTW, the dividends have already paid the cost of my purchases several times now. I like to gamble on buying start-ups and stocks that are "futuristic". They initially will lose money but they have a huge potential for growth and eventually big profit. Amazon and Tesla are 2 examples I missed on getting when they started up. I now use only the dividend money (house's money) at what I call the "Wall Street Casino". I look at buying stock akin to playing "Black Jack" at the casino. The more you know, the better your chances. Also, you can never will all the time. I gamble for fun, not profit. P.S. Never gamble more than you can afford to lose.

Thanks for the work. Nice EV, I like it a lot. The world needs more of this size EV's, and in the €25k range. Around the same size as the new Citroën ë-C3, but this E5 has a stronger engine and some nice features. I do like those door handles that sink inside the door and the form of the storage compartment with the flat floor. Interior is very nice. When it would have been for sale in Netherlands, we would have seriously considered this EV. But since it isn't, we bought the Citroën ë-C3 Max last week.
So I guess this is based on the same platform as the E8? That would mean 800V, which would make in the cheapest 800V vehicle in western markets, if it aims to compete with the BYD Seal U. Could be interesting!
The slot for the toll card would suit the use of RFID cards for charger activation in places like Australia. I always have to root around in my Tesla's centre console to find these since I am too lazy to use the typical garbage apps that most CPOs offer.
I can't quote you any statistics, but based on anecdotal evidence, I'd say Geely and BYD are quite reliable. Both of them have risen very far, and they didn't do it by making unreliable vehicles.
If this is of any help, some Geely cars here in the Philippines (a third world country at that) are still running at more than 100,000km. The only gripe owners have is the unavailability of parts that take months to arrive. So, supply chian issues. Also a few electronics glitches/bugs here and there but nothing crucial about the reliability
BYD for the overall best experience. Their blade battery is safe (relatively speaking, no lithium battery is 100% safe), price to performance is good. You will get most of the things you want e.g. high quality stereo systems, nice feeling sterring wheels, physical buttons, decent noise control, and lowest fuel cost (there're so many hybrids out there but the DM-i system is still ahead of most of them). Most important is, you'll get the best interior space in the BYD cars. Most cars with battery underneath has very high floors to compensate the thickness of the battery pack. So you will feel weird when sitting in those cars. But the CTB tech of BYD can make you feel you're sitting in a traditional car. I didn't tried Galaxy E5 yet but the Galaxy E8 sedan is one of the worst experience I've ever had. Sitting on the back seat is like squatting, so you can imagine how awkward is that. But if you like SUVs or crossovers, then floor issue is not that serious. Now you can choose Geely for better suspension and software, fatster charging speed (if supported), better racing performance (specifically Lynk & Co and Zeekr brand) and post sales service policy. Other brands like Chang'an, Nio, Li (Lixiang), GAC are also good.
I haven't seen it in person yet, and I've even heard rumors that they won't even sell it in China! Not sure I believe that, but I haven't heard anything about a Chinese market debut either. That's a lot for a midsize pickup, but are there an competitors that offer anything close to the same performance or powertrain technology?
BYD didn't launch Shark in China. BYD didn't acquired the qualification for pick up manufacture in China just yet and there're too many pick up trucks in China for us to choose but not that many buyers.

a & b, Geely has their own sales network some western markets and b, nobody rebadges besides Proton really. Mostly designs and build their way using the same parts bin.
Most of the hybrid cars won't share this number (maybe don't even care about this when designing) since they does not care about battery saving as much as pure EVs. Anyway, you can roughly calculate the actual range of the EV cars or EV mode. 0.9x - 0.95x of the CLTC range for driving in the city and 0.65x - 0.7x for driving at 120kmh (75mph).
Love Chinese EV cars, would never buy one myself because of trust issues in quality, but it helps to see how badly behind European car manufacturers are in terms of design and ingenuity.
The front design is really not far from the Smart #3 (also made by Geely but using Mercedes design). The lights in the back not too far either, even if the shape is bulkier.
A manufacturer that used to make high quality MP3s, then turned to making mobile phones, is now being bought by Geely. You know, any mobile phone manufacturer in China can easily beat car manufacturers at the software development level.
BYD and Tesla are neck and neck. But personally I will never choose Tesla because they don't have any physical buttons and levers. Switching gears by touching the screen is the stupidest thing I've ever seen on a car.

what's the point in offering 50w wireless charging pads, that are not cooled? apart from that, nice car, i like the design from the outside more, than from the inside. the interior looks quite sterile. bright materials combined with bright wood, is a bit boring, should be a darker wood, that would add to the character and living room feeling, or for those, who don't like wood, aluminum or carbon fiber.

I love this channel, but "extended range EV" has to be one of the craziest corporate-speak phrases I've heard in some time. right up there with "electrified vehicles," lol.
This thing is 300mm longer than the Baojun cloud EV, it has far less room and luggage capacity and the reason is that in fitting in with the Stupid SUV styling template, not only is interior space lost, but so is comfort, and economy via aerodynamics. I probably won't be able to buy a Baojun Cloud because there are to many wankers here in Australia who want to ride high and look tough. It's a great shame the SUV fashion has lasted as long as it has.

what's the point in offering 50w wireless charging pads, that are not cooled? apart from that, nice car, i like the design from the outside more, than from the inside. the interior looks quite sterile. bright materials combined with bright wood, is a bit boring, should be a darker wood, that would add to the character and living room feeling, or for those, who don't like wood, aluminum or carbon fiber.

I love this channel, but "extended range EV" has to be one of the craziest corporate-speak phrases I've heard in some time. right up there with "electrified vehicles," lol.
This thing is 300mm longer than the Baojun cloud EV, it has far less room and luggage capacity and the reason is that in fitting in with the Stupid SUV styling template, not only is interior space lost, but so is comfort, and economy via aerodynamics. I probably won't be able to buy a Baojun Cloud because there are to many wankers here in Australia who want to ride high and look tough. It's a great shame the SUV fashion has lasted as long as it has.
