When I moved to NY I chose Southside Jamaica Queens. I'm a country boy but we have suburbs outside of the country in my county. I felt comfortable in Queens. There homes have grass fences driveways and yard. The things I'm use to the only difference is it's in a city. I also could live in Long Islands as well

Being from watts, California and moving to south Jamaica from between 2006-2008 I could honestly say I f****** loved my whole experience out there frfr….we first moved to 165 & linden 2 blocks away from the infamous “Supreme team” projects to a few blocks down off 167 and guy r. Brewer….i made it my purpose to visit all 5 Burroughs as the New Yorkers would say but I spent most of my two & 1/2 years out there in between south Jamaica and Brooklyn in the Marcy’s (jay z hood) cuz I have family in there as well but most of my time was spent in south Jamaica…..what I miss the most from out there is the snow, them corner store chicken cutlet sandwiches and Jamaica avenue……oh them were the days for a west coast nigga lol….shout out my south Jamaica niggaz from the 40 Ps, Basleys, and rochsdale projects y’all showed me BIG love
Lived in Jamaica for 14 days, and even though i heard that it was dangerous for a white person like me i still stayed. Nothing happened except people saying hi, goodmorning and being nice. Felt safer in Jamaica than in some hood’s over in Sweden where i’m from.
