Yay literally kissing his screen
bro the timing was so good on this upload/ i was literally thinking about this JUST as I needed it. Thanks for the guide Konpeki!
same, this is crazy
same here man
All i hear is a zip going down😂
one thing is do not pay for coaching honestly just watch yt vids most of the ''paid'' coaching can be found by smaller creators that explain it way better or just have high elo friends
@@naizy true, i just dont have much high elo friends. any suggestions on how I can find some so i can get some help from them?
I repeatedly did tests with my 60(!) year old dad, and he always had a reaction time of 165ms with single results as low as 145ms. That’s the same as me and I am 21. To be fair, he still does sports multiple times a week and has always been an active person, but don’t let your age demotivate you❤
Dad should go pro
@@GatitoEZ lmao
pro reaction times are 70ms on avg. and again due to anticipation they can get as low as 30ms i once of 7ms and 15ms hard to belive but i just made a hunch and it worked lmao
@@Mugetsu786the quickest the human brain can think it’s 95-100 Ms the pros do not have 70 Ms reaction times. Google it first. With pre aiming they can get lower numbers but it’s prefiring not reaction time

ive been wondering about this for so so long, tysm! really helps!
I'm a valorant coach and your videos give me so much insight into some important perspectives on topics that my students ask and worry about. Every time i'm here i get a little bit better as a player and a lot better as a coach !! ♥
Perfect timing with the video! Great work.
Great video, loved it!
2:47 I haven't played anymore Valorant for 2 years, I didn't even know they put a window in there lol
Best coach. yet, still underrated
i only have 2 questions the first on being, how do you do good entrance pathing in lower elo when its not always a safe option to rely on your team to hold other angles, comms are always important and i guess just trying to play off of them is there anything else? the second being how to anticipate different types of peeks. Anyways great video thanks!
BEST COACH EVER
I feel like it has extreme importance at immortal, when I'm getting 220ms I end up bottomfragging and every single enemy feel like the flash is peeking, but when I'm on a 170ms day, suddenly I am the top frag. Because there is no time to adjust aim if I'm just slow. Everyone is too fast tbh. That's why I'm a complete nerd that plays unfair with abilities
I still don't understand how pros can hold micro angle and still hit shots... like the timing to shoot is so little I don't know how they do that. I mean it almost feel inhuman sometimes xd
Observer bugg
If you see it in VCT it's because they are playing without any ping delay, and that makes it easier to hit shots like that (TenZ himself said that holding angles is king in LAN events).
1. You have to remember they’re pro for a reason.
2. Remember they are on LAN no ping delay
i avg 150 ms on human benchmark. Scores between 140-160. What helps is: 1) a good mouse 2) high refresh rate monitor, mine is 144hz 3) sitting very close to the monitor 4) have some attention on your finger when waiting for green, this reduces the time it takes for your finger to move.
I was researching this a few days ago, I basically agree with everything said in this vid. Reaction time isn’t worth thinking about, just being alert is enough for most.
An interesting thing I noticed is that (for me at least), my reaction time with mouse is WAY faster than my keyboard, which is like 100ms slower at most. Even still, it doesn’t feel like it makes too much difference.
I Wont to a magnetic keyboard
because unless you have a wooting or something key presses only activate at the bottom of the click which has a much larger travel time than a mouse click.
do u have any tips on how to practice deathmatch without always being 3rd partied or shot in the back 😭
i have 140-150ms reaction time on human benchmark, but I cannot manage to utilise it in valorant idk why... am asc 3, will watch the full video now.
Yeah same here.
To be honest, even Tenz and shroud got destroyed a few rounds lately. That means, even the best aimer and the best valo player in the world, cant dominate in this game. I think its not really well made gungame wise to be honest.
Sorry to say that.
@@LeoBoobi yea if only cs had a better anti cheat then there is no competition to cs
@@RahvlPavl
Yeah very sad. But also in valo, there are for sure more (atleast) Wallhackers, than we expect. Specially on their smurf accounts, not caring about being banned.
@@LeoBoobi true but fractional as compared to cs, 9.7/10 games are against cheaters
Tbh reaction time isnt that important in FPS games
Imo the speed that you aim at them is WAY more important
You can have a reaction time of 5ms and still be slower because of ass aim
my reaction time, provided that I’ve had enough sleep and am in a good mood, is 155-160 ms, but I just don’t have enough patience and perseverance to achieve high ranks, after a couple of maps I already want to quit the game. I think many people face this.
la persona que te hace los videos no ha hecho tu curso, ¿verdad? el video está genial ❤🔥
If you all want a workout that can enhance reaction time, try to improve your VO2 Max (look up how important it is to your overall health, especially as you get older). This is your body’s ability to throw around and synthesize oxygen, how efficiently and how quickly. Look up Kettle Bell Swing Ladders, and how to breathe so you can improve VO2 max. EVERYONE needs to be doing this, because reaction time is directly related to how well your body can metabolize and process chemicals from the air and move it around the body. Konpeki needs to research this and make a video about it. How VO2 Max improvement can enhance competitive gaming.
Where’d you learn about this? Have you applied it and notice any differences?
Still didn't answer the original problem:
When you're standing still holding an angle and enemy peeks and kills you before you even register their presence, is that reaction time diff???
Also, how to improve that?
Good question
it can be reaction time diff but for the most part it is just focus diff
to improve that, just practice and make sure you are not autopiloting/zoning out
also there is misconception reaction time is just genetic - this is just untrue, do not buy into this . i used to have 240ms reaction time and after many years of shooters and fighting games i have gotten it down to 160ms
if your holding a common angle, could of just been a prefire. usually if someone is hard clearing that angle youre hold, youre gonna lose because of peekers advantage. swing or be swung.
i got the problem that i watch a spot and my enemy runs into my crosshair and shots me and after i fall dead to the ground my brain realises that he peeked me
Love this video!! :) I've always hated the myths that spread around about age and reaction time. Some people don't seem to understand that it takes a LOOOOOOOOONG time before your raw reaction time starts to significantly decline, they act like you die at 20 and doing anything after that is just hopeless... which is funny, considering a lot of athletes don't hit peak performance or peak raw reaction until their 30's, and even after that they can continue to compete without a problem for years to come. Look at Tony Hawk, an example of someone who has competed in a VERY risky and VERY dangerous sport for decades, suffered many debilitating injuries, and even then he somehow managed to thrive into his 30's and 40's and occasionally compete at top level when he isn't busy being a parent.
It's obviously sad that there will come a time where everyone won't be able to do some of the things they enjoy anymore, but by that time we'll be thinking about retirement. It all feels like it's part of the general "age dooming" trend in the US, where people are going through severe depressive episodes and feeling absolutely worthless because society keeps lowering the "old age" threshold to the point teenagers will call 18-20 year olds "unc" or "boomer". It feels especially prevalent in gaming communities, and I'm glad to see videos dispelling the myths and bringing some POSITIVITY into the space. Also a very helpful and informative vid for me in general, well done!
Fifth reason: enemy chamber
For my lobbies, everyone has hasbulla high crosshair placement, so crouch peeking doesnt really work
bet then it's even better to not crouch peek?
what can I do if my average reaction time is 280ms?
because I'm only 17 and I feel my brain is slower than a 90 year old grandma
it’s likely your hardware, i used to get 250ms on an old pc, after an upgrade i’ve gotten 130-150, don’t be too harsh on yourself
@@thatkidliam4475mines 220ms but i feel like my pc is fine 1660s ryzen 3600x could it be my internet?
i'm watching this video knowing well that my reaction time is rarely beat and I just miss my first shot is all lmfao
All this feels like tip-toeing around the elephant in the room: high ping.
but you didnt answer my question though, i feel like my reaction time is slow while holding an angle, not peaking
i actually want to know, i play on 120 fps with lags, i reached immortal already, but it feels like my lags cost me rounds and sometimes even games, but i am not allowed to get a new one, what can i do to fix that in the game?
Check your wifi. Might be too slow of a plan you're on. If that's fine, are you playing on a wireless connection? If you are, change to wired. Otherwise, if not that, turn all setting down to low & lock FPS at 120 since that's your highest. If that doesn't work either, time for a PC upgrade. Sounds like it's about time too if 120fps is really all you're getting. Valorant is not a resource-intensive game.
I am just chilling playing on 60fps
I just wanted to learn how to reaction tech chase in melee ._.
Mario kart music going hard
W content
I'm 22 almost 23: and I feel like my reaction speed as dwindled over the years I felt like i used to have below 200ms reaction speed now i feel its more on the lines of 230 at best
same my reaction time is 220-230 and im 21 i smoke alot of weed tho idk ik my reaction time was never this bad
I am 18 years old and my average reaction time is 150-169 ms
Yeah but how to "actually" improve it ? By this I mean, in my friend group I am the one with the highest reaction time, and by around 60ms. That's what I need to improve cause that would improve performance in every game right ? (some more than others still but you know)
if youhave aphantasia good luck imagining common enemies x.x 4:56
Coach do you have a vid of game sense
I got 27ms reaction time in mobile with 80-90 latency and under 60 fps😂
Because half my team plays at 80-150 ping lol
Any tips to rankup without playing? (I'm too tired when I get home)
cooked 😭
@@waffl1337 ima just rent out my account so people can play with skins lol

Anyone saying you can't train both your reaction time and reflexes is delusional. Now watch people with less than 80IQ get mad.
the more i learn about valorant, the greater the dumbness hit me. this is csgo basics how people just discover such things
Bro my reaction is 300ms
We’ve yet to witness over 40 yo radiant content creator
I feel like reaction speed matters a lot at the top ranks because everyone has really good mechanics at the top
my reaction time is 320 😚
its my 60hz bro
Didn't help, i think something is wrong with my PC , even if i do all this I'm getting over tapped by RNG
Jokes on you my human bench mark told me my reaction time is 400 ms
I did it over 100 times on average I scored between 350-450
Im 19 & my reaction time is 450 ms 💀💀💀
you can always get your reaction time down, just practice , probably aim train too if you want faster, if you do not aim train it will likely take multiple years but still def possible . dont listen 2 people who say "its just genetics" , my 45 year old uncle has gotten down to a 160ms reaction time from his original 312, you can get there
@@joemogley so my reaction time is slower than ur 45 year old uncle original reaction time 💀 man i feel like turtle
in short buy a 240hrz monitor
See the shitty thing is, I can't even tell if I'm trash or not because I play with like 10 fps. Since I'm playing on a PC I Built in 2015. Like no amount of help can fix that the enemies can legit see me a legit 2 seconds before I do just because they have a decent PC lol.
For those that will complain that I should just upgrade my PC. I play games for leisure, there is no making money off of it for me. So upgrading a pc is low priority lol
honestly if you play games for leisure and play a team based game its maybe better to move a bit more to singleplayer games especially if you play ranked
That's crazy since I'm playing with a shitty laptop from 2012 and I get 40-60fps. I don't know what you did to your PC but there's definitely something wrong with it.
@@timlodder2848 oh I don't play rank because of my pc lol
@@arent2295 if multiple abilities or enemy's pop up. The hard my fps dips 😂
The dumb part is I always fill (so smokes) and I usually am not bottom of the scoreboard 🤣
Well if you're not willing to upgrade your computer then I suggest not complaining about struggling to climb, if you're putting yourself at a disadvantage by having a super low frame rate you're not going to get far, it's like playing basketball while in a wheelchair but everyone else is walking. Play for fun sure, but your plausible skill ceiling is going to be heavily limited because of your hardware.
My pc had a bad part (the fan hub ) after changing it. The response time was fixed
Step 1 - Start ping abusing
mine is like 320 lol
hi konpeki ilove u
love you too
FOURTIES who tf plays at 40 yrs old
Angel1 is 34 so it's not too crazy to think people play at 40 and who cares if they do whatever makes them happy that's not illegal
0:17 how many students? Aren't you... Exaggerating a tiny bit?
I’ve been coaching since episode 1 😅
@@CoachKonpeki it's just bit over 3 years, 1387 days. Have you had several new students each and every one of those days? :D
@@over9000lord In the first year of full time coaching alone, I coached 6-8 hours a day, one player each hour. Even with weekends off you can do the math to figure out the number of players I worked with!
@@CoachKonpeki you are known to be a good coach so I'm sure you did multiple sessions with each trainee, not just 8 new ppl every single day? :D What I'm trying to say is that I've been a full time university teacher for over 6 years now - and I'm nowhere near a thousand, let alone thousands of students. To me that sounds like too many to teach properly in such a short time, which makes me quite surprised to hear that you did it. It would be very interesting if you had compiled any statistics about your students over the years and if you'd like to share it with us some day :)
@@over9000lord In my early days it was new people each time because I was on Fiverr and anyone could book a session with me. But ever since I started my coaching program I’ve become more selective about who my team and I work with because it’s an 8 week program
i got 150 ms
Same
my reaction time is better than 90% of people i see but after this video im sure to have it up to 99%
Why you wasting your talent on this if your reaction this good become a goalkeeper or something that actually brings in money

Or , Or Hear Me Out The Enemy Your Going Against Has Memory Aimbot Thats Unbannable.... but okay ill improve my reaction time and yes ik not everybody has cheats its just certain matchs they feel unbalanced and weird sometimes could just be me tho....
i have a 60 hertz monitor im pretty sure thats the issue
adds about average of 7ms more than a 240hz monitor so no it's not the issue
It is. Playing on a desktop work oc vs a gaming pc is almost 70 ms differenc.
you dont have slow reaction time, u are just bad

not a very good video it was all about "why u think ur reaction times bad" nothing to do with anyone with an actual bad reaction time and understands the game already u jus gave basic tips for any game😂
