I'm gonna redo this video and upload a more comprehensive tutorial. This current one is fabulous for beginners and intermediate players, but it leaves room for improvement especially for higher ranks. Many fights in higher ranks have a lot more nuance and I want to try and provide a complete guide for understanding how you should've taken any given fight. When I first posted this I didn't expect the viewership I ended up receiving - and the advice is a bit one-dimensional for my liking in hindsight.
Just came back to this video to forward it to a friend! So excited for the more comprehensive video, but I think this will be a good base line for my iron friend (its for my friend i swear)
JESUS. This is probably the single most helpful valorant "tip" i've ever seen. I get frustrated so much because i recognise that i'm literally standing still and not displacing my hitbox at all. but given the nature of the game I found it hard to weave movement into my gameplay. the "2-tap strafe" combo is just enough to make opponents miss. in the games i've played so far implementing it i've quite literally noticed enemies whiffing due to the slight left or right movement. i ended up going flawless and winning a DM almost immediately after watching this video. I know it's not some magical pill that'll make me a god but it's definietly filled a hole in my gameplay. thank you. liked and subbed. Hope the algorithim picks this up!
0-5 meters = Run n Gun or crouch spraying (moving is essential) 5-15 meters = 2 tap burst and when you connect the bullet you can go into a spray 15-30 meters = 2 tap burst and strafe, 2 tap burst and strafe (try and go for headshots), cant have more than 3 bullets and no movement inaccuracy 30-60 meters = same thing but use ads if needed
This is such an informative video! A lot of coaches has explained when to spray, but none of them said anything about constantly moving and crouching like the way you demonstrated! I'll try to implement these habits!
@@Woohoojin just wanted to say I really appreciate the higher rank vods alot of coaches only do it for lower ranks which makes often means they're only covering the basics so i really appreciate your efforts

It's so hard to kill the habbit (as someone who played cs) to stop spraying even on mid-range. this video is insanely informative for being so consice. i started playing val a month ago and i’m only bronze 1 but this is by far the most informative piece i’ve seen on gunfight ranges and how to approach them.
Im instantly seeing better results, havent played valorant consistently for a while and I kinda lost my aim, this really helped me with getting my gunfight hygiene right.
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for for so long, every valorant tips video I can ever find is hyper specific magic tricks to pull once a round, and all I’ve ever wanted is just general how to play the basic game advice like this
Saw your video on reddit. I’m looking forward to more videos from you! The shooting error stat is something I didn’t know existed. Thank you for the info!
As a CS vet (nearly 4k hours and 10+ years lol) this has been a great guide to watch! The habit of a full memorised spray control at longer engagements is something I'm slowly trying to get out of, the distance guide and examples here are def something great to compare with.
Just started playing consistently last act and had always thought I may have been holding angles too tight. Saw this vid and finally changed up my cross hair placement up when holding angles and won a lot more gunfights which helped me win 4/5 games. Thanks for the tip!
this instantly made me more comfortable in gunfight and its one of the first GOOD pieces of advice ive heard. i did thnk it was my aim, never realized just how much movement plus shooting tech actually makes
That setting is exactly what I needed! I hate playing with movement error on in my crosshair and going back through a VOD to focus on the barely visible crosshair.
After watching this video, I spent at least 3 hours practicing in deathmatch using tips and then, I tried in unrated match and guess what. I got my first MVP hahaha. thanks a lot😁😁
thank you naners! i just recently put this graph on and i’m really they put some sort of velocity graph in next to get a hard visual on your actual movement to better tell when you have bad movement hygiene (not just gunfight but ALL movement)
I cant say enough thanks to that info, i kinda knew the theoretical movement but i wasnt quite comitting cause i know my aim is cracked an my movement garb. So this is a blessing
Wanted to see about trying ranked for the first time this act, this advice is really great for helping me know how to properly practice aiming. Thanks!
Woohoojin I love you. I've played 76 deathmatches this act and usually finish in the middle. I watch this video, and no less than two DMs after I go 40-14 and finish first. Insane advice.
Finally a tutorial on actually what to use and how to use the movement, every single other video I have seen all the other RUclipsrs have said “just keep strafing” and not elaborating further (it was so annoying), but thx cause now I know what to do
0:57 I tried it, even in a casual game and... thank you, thank you for confirming that my problem was really the aim 1:06; and not because of moving 😂😂😂😂😂👍🏻
I honestly may need those coaching, I sant to get to radiant but I feel lost like my raw aim I practiced it 500+ h on aimtrainers and range my crosshair placement I worked on it on custom games and deathmatches, I sliced each and single angle properly as I think trying to copy yay yet I still die and when I spec my team I see that they survive without clearing anything properly
Thank you so much woohoojin i came back to valorant after a 5 month break and felt like my aim was bad it turns out it was just my movement already a bunch of improvement after only one deathmatch and practicing with the graph telling me my innacuracies
This was helpful. I had come to the conclusion that I needed to be more careful about movement, but this tutorial has a lot of good tips that I don't think about.
Aight gonna practice it since i’m fairly new to the fps genre, i know i tend to move and use the scope way too much with rifles. Let’s hope i get out of Iron in the near future
Hey man, been watching movement and taking gun fight vids a lot but this is the first time i saw a detailed classification of gunfights according to distancve from opponents!!!! thanks a lot man 1 new sub here!!!
For me, if my aims bad one day it influences all other aspects of my play because it coincides with confidence, if I don't feel I can win a gunfight then I won't make good plays etc. I'm on a laptop and all so setup isn't great which is definitely a big factor
Holy shit, why I didn't know it earlier. I'm literally watching every your vid 2 days straight. You are so damn good, thank you so much for this content!
i used this for my training: basically i just jumped to a deathmatch, unbind my crouch key, went for ghost only, aim for only heads whilst doing the movement. the essence is that for me to get comfortable with the movements and grow it into a habit, it doesnt matter if i didnt kill the enemy, since if it was a real fight (with vandal/phantom) i'd probably killed them already (since im only aiming heads). go ahead and try it, it works well with me!
Quite a cool concept. When I tried to implement it on my gameplay I realized thats basically how i've been fighting all along haha good for me. But keeping the distance in mind helps me decide to spray transfer better. GREAT.
Biggest thing thats helped me is movement canceling. When moving i’ll hold the opposite button to cancel my movement. Walking left holding A and pressing D before shooting to stop. I used to let go of WASD but I found I doing this was easier for me.
thznks bro for explzin first time i see someone give something 100% usefull not all like others speaking about train in death match and range good course bro i appreciate you hard work
