@@lunarotimas what? Where did you get that information from? You do use olive oil. Olive oil is in every recipe. And no vinegar! Yes, some people, even Italians, do put it on, but it's not the traditional recipe. And if you ask me (I tried both), it's way better without the vinegar. The vinegar just ruins the flavor of the mozzarella.
But to each their own. Just please don't write it as if balsamic vinegar was a part of insalata caprese.

You are not alone on the tomatos! For me it’s not necessarily tomatoes, but raw tomatoes. Anything cooked (spaghetti sauce) is fine. It’s the not cooked tomatoes that most likely make you hate them.

The most unacceptable thing about it is the fact that it is sweet. A savory and sour version would be delicious. We have a number of dishes that pairs tomato sauces with yogurt in Turkey, for example Iskender kebap.

Funny story, when I used to live in Japan as a kid for a little while, the yogurt we bought was translated as yogrit, and I forgot it was actually called yogurt and still sometimes call it yogrit to this day.
