A dwindling memory I tried to find
I stepped into the dusky woods

Trudging through the thick, murky trees

Consumed by a virescent sea

And thus it was me and my mother, living a pauper's life.
We were tormented by allegations and lies, accused of poisoning the water, taking lives,

The last of her sanity extinguished from her mind…
And then...
Faith was put where faith was due
Changing faiths to appease changing truths
But cold as stone was society
No food, no mercy left for me
A cross inverted, mocking my repentance.
Unanswered prayers were my sentence.
Condemned, never to be forgiven,
A palimpsest of my deadly sins…
Wandering abandoned in the forest deep
A brother and his sister make their way through leaves
So helpless and alone
With no place to call their own
A feeling I have always known
With the forest birds all at my call
I beckon them to eat the breadcrumbs as they fall
Save for one to say hello, with feathers white as snow, leading the siblings into the undergrowth
Brother [Hänsel], look what I found
A tiny hut over there, made of gingerbread!
Careful, [Gretel], don’t make a sound
I’ve heard tales of witches and their horrible acts of dread... still…

It’s better than both of us starving to death!

I am, as always, massively impressed by your vocal versatility. If it’s Rock, Pop or Opera, A Nun, an old Lady, children or even a fat Hänsel, you hit all styles and all impressions so great.
Especially the only lady, I think they are quite enjoyable to listen to ( compared to the original )
But now that I am hearing Revos Version of this story the first time in English, I had to chuckle up about what he had done to the story’s of my childhood.
I know it’s been a very long time since your Song of Dusk Cover released, but it’s very enjoying to know your got motivation to release covers of this musical more often again.
But just make sure to not rush anything, we’ll stay here and support your work no matter how much time you need, and if it’s year(s) again, than so it is. ;)
