hey mark , i spent the whole day researching life in denmark and i'm in love .. im 28 years old fat male from and living in lebanon, i have a degree in multimedia with 2 years of shitty experience, so i dont see myself working in that field .. nightlife and bars might suite me more, any idea if i can find work in denmark in those fields ( and they would give me a work permit so i can move there and live a happy life ? )

Important for anyone who wants to move to Denmark.
You can be your self. you can have your religion. No one cares what you belive in. its a free choice.
And you can somewhat have your way of life. -okay
BUT. You have to make an effort to fit in. Danes in gerneral have a very neutral sight on strangers. both other danes and foreigners.
We might seem like we are closed of to people we don't know. and thats somewhat true. but walk up and calm ask a question and you will most likely get an answer. and most danes speak good English to.
But most danes will DISLIKE you if you are a person who thinks that you are someone and act like it.. and you might be someone big or important.. but don't act like it. Be normal and on a level ground. dosent matter if you have only a bike or a big car. in 95% of other eyes.. you are just another person. just like them. money and power or not, you are nothing special. And thats impotent to remember. cause if you act like it most people will not care about you, and treat you bad.
Its like an unwritten social law.
:) But also you need to show in a again somewhat netrual way that you care about the society and your fellow people.. if some one ask you of something and its not a problem for you.. sure help.
even though that is seen less and less.. and thats a shame.

What makes you Danish is not your genetics, it's living Danish culture, speaking the Danish language and of course, most important of all, having a Danish nationality. The Irish and Danes have had a lot of mixing in the past but the Danes have mixed with a looooot of countries throughout history as has nearly any country that is not named Japan. We're humans at the end of the day. What makes me Danish is also not my genetics. It's my culture, language and nationality. Having Danish parents or grand parents doesn't make you Danish. I'd call a first generation immigrant who speaks Danish and lives Danish culture a fellow Dane any day of the weak. I wouldn't do that to you based on silly DNA tests.

If you plan to move to Denmark you need to know this:
-it's imposible to get a flat from the state which is required to apply to be a resident
-renting a flat costs 1000euro and more
-to reunite with family in denmark takes years, not 2 years but many years
-basically it's good there only for danish people who find wholes in the system and get some money aside from the state
-if you are coming from another country you will spend all your money and not even be close to starting a normal life
-to get any paper takes months and you can't go to see what is the problem but you can only send emails
==all this is so they stop foreigners to come live there and I mean any foreigners
-I actually believed it's a fair place but I give up on Denmark....so they are happy for one foreigner less.
Germany here I come, at least you appreciate mechanical engineers not born in Germany.

:-) No problem, we have water all around us. Water maybe a bit colder - winterbathing is quite popular, breaking the ice first, but it is very healthy and not affecting your health negatively - on the contrary :-) The winterbatherers become adicted :-)

I have one question, can someone put the record straight for me? A friend of mine who lives in Denmark 2 years, told me that there is no Danish word for "please." Is this true? Just curious... If it's true, that would be very odd.
That is true. They are a friendly, polite people with many expressions & rituals of politeness in how they talk and socialise, but the word please just does not exist. The closest would be the phrase ‘would you be so kind..?’ But it’s a little long winded & isn’t really used as often as that word.

Don't get drunk with water! Sure Denmark is amazing as living and all but if you are a foreigner with studies, even master degree or phd or even if you finished your studies in Denmark, its extremely hard to find a job. First of all danish people are number one priority, they are privileged people, they find a job pretty easy after studies. I will give you an example with 26 students after getting a bachelor degree in Denmark. 20 International students only from Europe and the rest of 6 from Denmark. Studying in Denmark was amazing for everyone. All 26 students finished and got happy with all the knowledge they received. The tricky part came now. The local 6 danish students got jobs so easily in the same year. The rest of 20 got nothing. They waited for years and nothing. So it's very hard to get a job. Sure life is amazing there but...
