Heard this song on Classical Minnesota Public Radio at least 6 years ago and I find myself coming back to it all the time. It always fills my heart with enthusiasm.
I absolutely love this piece. It is my favorite of the Curiale pieces I have heard. I first heard it on WGUC, the classical radio station from Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. I highly recommend the station. You can hear it on line.
Folks, I don't believe there is one composer alive now in America that hasn't taken to heart and been influenced by Aaron Copland. With magnificent stuff like this, that influence, if any is very welcome, indeed. You all make a good point, though. It's just that I think even the Elmer Bernsteins, Jerry Goldsmiths, Newmans, etc. are influenced by Aaron. It is, as they say, the sincerest form of flattery.
