Proper custom graphics (fonts / layout / designs to mimic OEM dash) and this becomes a must buy!
Until then it's just kinda nice.
Once they get full custom UI capability like Motec as well as lap timing i am sold. Looks great. Full custom UI is just so key to this.
The lack of custom graphics is what's pushed me towards RealDash - granted there's a bootup time and a minor delay (got it down to 12s), but it's near infinitely configurable. I like that.
Always joked that the IC7 resembled an Atari Lynx from the 1980s, good to see they made something that looks current. Took them a while though 😅
Make it easier to make custom dashes. The configurator is not easy to use at all
I’m currently having the Motec C1212 to replace my oem dash on my US fk8 civic type R.
Google “real dash”
The moment someone comes out with a can display that can only and not retarded expensive the rest of the industry will fall haha
@@davidpetrosyan7425 They did.
Something that might finally give the Holley dashes a run for their money.
I hope customising layouts and formats is wide and varied- I can’t stand that default yellow setup that the IC7 (and now what this appears to) ships with. For near on $3k Australian I expect it to have an Auxiliary Input like a TV that’s the same price but many times over the bigger size.
Would be so mint if haltech started doing diesel compatible ECUs.
haltech is absolutely killing it
Killer kit
I wonder if the ic10 can be used as a stand alone unit for those just wanting the dash like the older model and wether they will do a shroud for this new dash to fit the ford falcon and give it that neat factory look I'm after.
If yes, is that $2k American or Australia as i would be a instant buyer.
The UC10 can be standalone, someone will offer a dash mount to suit, mako Motorsport make a lot to suit ic7 currently, aud price is $2950
Explain the LS Rebel vs Nexus R3. If you own a V8 you get a massive discount it seems ? $1495 is crazy with harness/O2 etc while the R3 is $2400 for just ecu
Where’s Matt from haltech
I think he left - I saw him pop up on another vendor's videos. But I can't remember who!
He's with turbosmart
They fired him, Matt and a couple of other guys got the boot. Digusting behaviour from Haltech.
@@mclovinnz damn! That’s not good. He was so good on screen
@@johnny_gtr Yip very bizarre move by Haltech. Matt should have gone to Link or Motec.
Now if only Haltech could come up with a customizable touchscreen CAN keypad...just imagine that.
Yes this will be a best solution then you can go a few inches wider and have touch buttons dedicated to the functions of the seven inch. That would be the solution. Just touch buttons on the side.
Damn. A week after I buy my ic7
Return it
Yea its not the same without matt
Honestly looks like a laggy Android tablet from the demo it was running through.
Can it play doom?
At AUD$3000 it is just under the cost of the Nexus R3. How is the display almost as valuable as the 5 in 1 processor? One that cannot be customised fully.
Put in full customisation software where the client can make what ever screen they want including PDM functions, including displaying any electrical device connected to the Nexus and then its value but until then it s PC monitor that costs the same as the PC.... What a joke.
Why is no one using OLED, still nasty old TFT low res, low frame rate?
Can it show Android Auto/Carplay?
