Thanks for telling it like it is, moderation, so true! I like your plain language! Right to the heart of the matter! Sin is sin, all equal in the sight of God and abominable to Him. It took His Son, Jesus, to come to earth and take on our sin so that we might be clean enough to stand before the pleasing judgement bar of God, washed clean of all our sins through the blood of Jesus. So when we sin it is like giving Jesus more stripes. Thank you Jesus for making a way for sinners to come home again.

I have a question: If you believe in Jesus but you don't actually REPENT of a sin because your church never encouraged you to read the Bible, so you didn't know it was a sin, can you still be saved? I'm very worried about my mother because she was a Christian & did the things she THOUGHT were Christian (saying grace, keeping her wedding vows to an abusive atheist husband, being upset that my sister & her atheist husband had no plans to have their children baptized so she baptized them herself & prayed over each of them when tucking them in at bedtime, telling them about God and Jesus when they asked who she was talking to) that she learned from her siblings who both converted to a mega-denomination that teaches you shouldn't try to read the Bible for yourself and that you can pray to angels & talk to late loved ones she believed were watching over her, & she believed it was true because who/whatever the psychic was getting messages from was TOO accurate for her to have known so much about a complete stranger's dead relatives (although my mother didn't go so far as to JOIN that mega-denomination). Unfortunately, she died before I learned what the Bible REALLY teaches about trying to communicate with the dead in Deuteronomy 18:10-12 so I that I could tell her & repent WITH her & pray with her. Can she still go to heaven?
I know this doesn't count, but she was a kind and loving person (I John says God is love & all love is from God); she was just misinformed. But she believed Jesus was our Savior & did what she THOUGHT Christianity taught. She even paid for my subscription to the printed version of Our Daily Bread for many years without my asking her to! (The 'orthodox' denomination she raised me in didn't encourage us to read the Bible for ourselves either.) Paul didn't say in the passage quoted in this video that he had repented, only that he was the worst sinner but was saved anyway.
