To have a deep Faith and conviction about the presence of JESUS in the Holy Eucharist as we go to him JESUS HIMSELF have to touch us in The Eucharist. I absolutely agree with what you are saying otherwise as a Catholic for 48 years I experienced Jesus in The Holy Eucharist only at the age of 46. But i have been hearing about Jesus Real presence since my childhood. And my prayer to Jesus in the Holy Eucharist is that every one to have this experience.
This was not what I expected, but it was what my heart needed. Fr. Mike, I have met so many bitter former Catholics. Many who would tell you that being raised Catholic, they had not even been true Christians, or had ever really known Christ personally. The first response [from Catholics] is usually that they were wrong; they didn’t understand the real presence. But I think you can understand how awful it was to go through all of the church experience for years, and somehow miss Christ. You love Christ, and you recognize that we all need Christ, but don’t let anyone miss out on their personal connection. It makes people incredibly bitter.
I was just thinking this the whole time at Mass. Love, love, love. That the 4 kinds of prayer (Petition-Adoration-Contrition-Thanksgiving) should all be immersed in LOVE. it has been a very blessed day so far- everything is fitting like finding this homily that all about love. ❤❤❤

I pray for your son. My adult children as well, have fallen away from their faith. They were altar servers, I took them to weekly Mass and on holy days, but the culture got to them. I pray for them all. And indeed, I look at my own life. I also had a time of falling away, and I haven't always followed the church as I should. But God brought me back, and I thank my parents for raising me Catholic and passing on the faith. It took root in me, and thankfully I became back. There is hope.
I usually just stop by to read the comments, but glad I listened to the homily by Fr Mike tonight. For some reason, this year the Body and Blood feast has been giving me the feelies this year. Fr Mike just put the crowning touch on it with his homily.

You love Christ, and you recognize that we all need Christ, but don’t let anyone miss out on their personal connection. It makes people incredibly bitter.

I have a painful degenerative illness, its hard for me to get to church....also in Evuador, the crime has stopped people from going to church and there are not enough priests anyway...you and your helpers are a God sent. There's a new book called "A Cardiologist Examines Jesus." You should definitely read it. It talks about this and other eucharistic miracles. It's truly an amazing read.

Wow...that just blew my mind. I ofc googled to see if i could find anything about these 2 stories and there are a bunch of articles about them...how is this not known by everyone? Like how are there people still doubting after all of this. Especially with the Buenos Aires story being so recent.
I stake my life on it.....everyday for eternity. Please pray for my son Joshua to miss receiving Jesus in the Eucharist and return home to his Catholic faith.
I pray for your son. My adult children as well, have fallen away from their faith. They were altar servers, I took them to weekly Mass and on holy days, but the culture got to them. I pray for them all. And indeed, I look at my own life. I also had a time of falling away, and I haven't always followed the church as I should. But God brought me back, and I thank my parents for raising me Catholic and passing on the faith. It took root in me, and thankfully I became back. There is hope.
