      this is old school Muay Thai style, also called Muay fimeu, very technical Muay Thai style. And is better than boxing

    Damn...I need to start bringing my wife with a stick to my shadow boxing. Saenchai does not sim to slow down with age at all.

      39 years old, just a few years off his prime and he took very few damage over the years. His style is the perfect fit for his class. Great fighter and I'm sure he'll keep doing this until 42-45 with maybe a handful of fights a year lol. What a legend.

      @Leo G you may be correct as I don't follow muay thai as much as mma and boxing. I'd usually say 28-30 is your prime for the average human. I guess the type of sport is also important in determining the prime age :D

      It’s the footwork and lateral movement that makes him look like a boxer. Muay Thai doesn’t teach much lateral footwork like it’s stressed in boxing. Boxing has smaller windows to land punches unlike Muay Thai, where too much footwork can land you in trouble. Saenchai has it locked down.

      The traditional boxing footworkt is inefficient and exaggerated that's why it doesn't work in a context where you can kick, the Muay Thai footwork work against kicks and punches elbows and knees because is efficient movement, the economy of motion, casuals don't see it, but the Muay Thai footwork of seanchai is different to boxing.
      And seanchai's footwork is better because it was developed for the context of punching, kicking, elbow and knees, While the traditional boxing footwork only work in a context where only punches are allowed

Are you trying to tell me that boxing teaches you how to dodge kicks, knees, punches and elbow if you think that you're delusional, boxing Head movement doesn't work in Muay Thai, in Muay Thai you need to use muay Thai head movent and Muay Thai evasive techniques.

      not boxing, this is pure Muay Thai, Muay Thai is the art of eight limbs, so to be a master you need to have great punches, kicks, elbow and knees. Just Like seanchai.

      He doesn't pivot while throwing punches like a traditional boxer, he step in his punches like every Muay Thai fighter,but he is super Fast so he kinda looks like paquiao. But fundamentally is different, not better or worse is just different. I personally prefer This way for Muay Thai, kickboxing or MMA because you can defend lowkicks and calf kicks.
