    Angel's Landing is definitely my favorite hike in Zion. The hardest part of the hike is getting a permit to hike it... Robin :-)

      Good taste, my friend! Hopefully the new permit system is thinning out the crowds.

      It thinned out my wallet getting denied for the hike

      I got denied like five times and just alpine started and got back first thing when the buses were there

      You have to get a permit?

      I just got denied, is there a way to apply again? I really would like to do it when I go in march

    Thanks for the memory. I did it once. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Almost turned around halfway up, but 2 grandmas stopped to talk and after watching them, depart for the summit I had to carry on!

    Have done it a few times. Love Zion and Angel's Landing. Have seen clouds and birds flying beneath me from the top.

    We made it to Scout's Landing. I have weak lungs and almost hyperventilated once but i calmed my breathing and carried on to the top. It was the most rewarding hike of my life so far. ❤❤

    I would like to hike here. Do you need to be an experienced hiker in order to hike these places? What trails or mountains would be recommended for beginners or for people who want to get into hiking and don’t really know where to start?

      Best to check out the Zion Park Website for suggestions. Here's a video I did of the park's trails - easy to advanced: ruclips.net/video/DtP-6CPbNR4/видео.html

    If I wanted to die of a heart attack or of an abrupt stop at the bottom I would climb this, but I don't.

  • @cimarronMC
    @cimarronMC Год назад +2

    I did it last week. It was the most amazing hike I've ever done. Can't say it was the most dangerous though. But what bugged me was how many people were on it and most did not have permits. It's not fair to make it a dangerous experience for the people who obey the law and care about the park and who go through the lottery process. Don't cheat and just get a permit

    • @AmericasParks
      @AmericasParks  Год назад

      Glad to hear you had a nice hike! Totally hear you - few things bother me more than those who follow the rules being put at a disadvantage by the rule-breakers. Don't make rules unless you're willing to enforce them!

      Always a possibility, but very unlikely due to the security of the chains.

    • @AmericasParks
      @AmericasParks  Год назад +1

      Permits were not needed until recently. Not sure how difficult they are to obtain. Recently I heard a guy waited in the area, trying daily. It took him six attempts.

    I have butterflies in my stomach just watching these folks and the altitude of this climbing. Not for me, thanks but no thanks. I am afraid of heights as it is and watching it, makes me panic. It is a very beautiful scenery, really lovely.
