Aerosmith's best song for AOR. Well done. If you like Steven Tyler's voice, you HAVE to get "The Voice of Rock," Glenn Hughes, on here. Yep, I hope 1970 Trapeze "Medusa" is all set for Drunk Reactions of the month. Heck, if it isn't good, you can drunkenly curse me! I don't care - it is a mortal lock you and viewers/listeners love it!

@@basedsalty6970 funny how this song actually flopped on AM top 40 radio when it first came out ! then a few years later, when Aerosmith became huge, it was re-released again and became a smash hit !

This song was actually written by Steven Tyler (lead singer) when he was 17 years old; he wrote it on piano. Joe Perry (lead guitarist) had to "translate" the piano to guitar and did a superb job of it. Their next album...."Toys In the Attic".....is FULL of fantastic songs. "Walk This Way".....is a MUST do for y'all. I can provide further Aerosmith recommendations to you later. Great choice; great video as always, guys. :)
I'm from Boston and have had the pleasure of seeing several suprise club shows! Also met all members around town at different times. Tyler, Whitford & Hamilton the most approachable, Perry &,Kramer more private but nice aa well.
I saw Aerosmith live in 2004 and it was a bucket list moment for me. My parents, especially my father, were Aerosmith fans and I grew up on their music. Steven Tyler was still rocking those high notes in 2004 (and beyond). A true talent, and Joe Perry is a guitar god. The whole band is incredible.
Totally agree though I would start with "Toys in the Attic". Agreed? Love all 3. Being from Boston, had the pleasure of meeting all members at different times and seeing them at there now defunct Mama Kin club(also at the Middle East in Cambridge).
Aerosmith's debut, Get Your Wings, Toys in the Attic, Rocks...as good of a first four albums as anyone's. And that includes Zeppelin, Sabbath and Van Halen.

I was so happy to see you guys listening to Aerosmith, they're in my top 5!! The first 3 albums are killer! The first song Steven Tyler wrote with Joe Perry is "Movin' Out" from the band's 1973 debut album, so good. Okay now check out "Toys in the Attic" both the song and the album from 1975. "Back in the Saddle" from the 1976 Rocks album, this album kicks ass. The 2004 Honkin' On Bobo album is blues and covers, "You Gotta Move" is a Mississippi Fred McDowell cover, the band nailed it. He's not really exaggerating. I wouldn't put it up with Stairway, but it's close, and in rareified air. Pretty much every Classic Rock station will play this song at least once per day. It's also possible that you heard the re-recorded version that Aerosmith did for the Last Action Hero Soundtrack almost 20 years after the initial release. This is from their very first album and I used to Loop that one and Toys in the Attic on continuous repeat on an 8-track cassette cartridge. I love every single song on this first album, every single song. It's all just fire to me. I love the quality of the mix, it's just that early 70s stripped-down rock and roll but there's still a lot of thought put into the texture of it. Mama Kin, you got to check it out. And their interpretation of the Rufus Thomas song walking the dog is just incredible. Some of the other songs incorporate flute in the perfect way for rock and roll. It's all just so fun and so atmospheric.
Train Kept A Rollin’, Toys In The Attic, Back In The Saddle, Last Child, Rats In The Cellar, and Sick As A Dog are all essential Aerosmith. A&A you should really check into The Scorpions because there’s a lot of music there that you guys will be blown away by. Keep up the great work.
My favourite from this era was Last Child. I saw them in concert where, unfortunately they were clearly wasted. Some poor older commuter guy was stuck in the window seat surrounded by a cloud of smoke from all the passing joints. I was totally wasted by time I found my friends when we got off the train. Great reaction, really enjoyed seeing this through younger eyes. I also had not listened to this in a long time, Tyler's voice is just magical sometimes. He's so versatile too- for some different tones maybe try Mama Kin, and Last Child- this one first. It's all over the map and a lot of fun.
U guys R so fun 2 watch! Luv ur great reviews..& so awesome 2 see younger people hearing the amazing classic rock tunes from back in the day..Rock on! 🙂🙂☮☮✌✌💗💗
'Combination' from the iconic 'Rocks' album has one of the best 2-second (!) openings to any song, plus a great riff. 'Nobody's Fault' is pretty killer too
"Combination" is, just, SUPERB!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥 ...the chord choices, the rhythms, the melody (which doesn't, actually, "move" much!!! -but the REST of the song does!), ...just everything! ...but, then, ROCKS is, essentially, "perfect." 💜💜🧡💜🧡🔥🔥🔥🔥⚡ ..."Nobody's Fault" is legendary and well-deserving of the praise it receives ...and of multiple listens. 😋👍 ...I always felt that "Seasons Of Wither" was an under-recognized gem from that album, too. 🧡🧡🧡🧡🔥 (but, then, as I said: There's, really, nothing to fault on: ROCKS, as a whole! 😁😁🤘)
🔥Aerosmith 🔥 Rats In The Cellar- Rocks Combination- Rocks Toys In The Attic- Toys In The Attic Dream On was the hit that launched their debut album in 1973 It stands with all the greatest Rock Classics as to its air time and influence on American Rock Music Another amazing song released in 1975 was Dream Weaver- Gary Wright Keeping the American dream alive. 🤘
Mississippi Queen by Mountain. Mountain performed at Woodstock and had a strong influence on early heavy metal. Also, know I requested before but once again, Carry on My Wayward Son by Kansas.
Steven Tyler gave it all to Rock in every live performance for 40 years. As you get older, the songs become more powerful, should do a full-run of Aerosmith from 70’s to Current. Steven is literally crippled now from all the dancing on stage, his feet and knees are destroyed.
this is a song that if I hear coming on the radio on my way to work, I will happily be late for work just to hear this song. You don't have to be 10 minutes long to be considered the greatest song ever written.
This is definitely my favorite Aerosmith song! I was fortunate enough to see them live once, (which was fricking amazing!) and you could just tell by the way they played this song that it meant something more to them than their average songs. A few others of theirs I'd recommend: "Walk This Way", "Kings and Queens", "Angel", "Jaded", "Tell Me What it Takes", "Back in the Saddle" and "Seasons of Wither".
yes, alex is right, one of the most iconic rock songs ever. not a huge fan of the group but been listening and singing along with this one since high school over 45 years ago!! (geez, I *can't* be that old!) glad andy has at least heard the chorus. that could have been the last straw. 😎
4:36 I was waiting for that moment. Stevens scream and Andy's face....🤯🤯 Other songs by Aerosmith... Reefer Head Woman, Lord of the Thighs and Back in the Sadle.
No one can resist taking that song all the way to the end where Steve Tyler raises octaves higher in that chilling scream. Very chilling. Fun to watch you guys enjoy this one.
1st time my family saw them was at "Fiddlers Green" in Denver less than a week after, Columbine. It was in May & they came out & felt us hurting bad. Thank you guys. I was working in Boulder then & It mattered to us. Even in Pathology. They put a bandaid on many hearts that night & of course it snowed ! Stephen came out & said "If Van Halen can play in the rain, Aerosmith can play in the snow". I am glad my children were there as they were in high school to. Got home past midnight & had to go back to all the press, vehicles & shit. I was so grateful for what they did for us hours ago. Great channel guys !
When I saw Aerosmith perform this in 84' it inspired me to follow my dreams. 5 years later I quit my corporate job and was working at Giants Stadium building the biggest shows in the world. Five years after that I was laying out the Main Stage for Woodstock 94'. Follow your dreams, they can come true!
A great song by them, that’s only been played live once due to the intense vocals, is “You See Me Crying”. Steven heard it on the radio, and he liked it so much that he suggested they record a cover, and Perry said “it’s us, fuckhead!” Steven was having memory issues at the time.

'Nobody's Fault' is pretty killer too
"Combination" is, just, SUPERB!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
...the chord choices, the rhythms, the melody (which doesn't, actually, "move" much!!! -but the REST of the song does!), ...just everything!
...but, then, ROCKS is, essentially, "perfect." 💜💜🧡💜🧡🔥🔥🔥🔥⚡
..."Nobody's Fault" is legendary and well-deserving of the praise it receives ...and of multiple listens. 😋👍
...I always felt that "Seasons Of Wither" was an under-recognized gem from that album, too. 🧡🧡🧡🧡🔥
(but, then, as I said: There's, really, nothing to fault on: ROCKS, as a whole! 😁😁🤘)
🔥Aerosmith 🔥
Rats In The Cellar- Rocks
Combination- Rocks
Toys In The Attic- Toys In The Attic
Dream On was the hit that launched their debut album in 1973
It stands with all the greatest Rock Classics as to its air time and influence on American Rock Music
Another amazing song released in 1975 was
Dream Weaver- Gary Wright
Keeping the American dream alive. 🤘
🎶🎶Do a review of Aerosmith
Backkkkkkk In the Saddle!!
Lol! I didn't see this before. Mind Meld Monday? Too funny! Catch you next time! :))
BACK IN THE SADDLE is great classic! Forgot that one..
Back in the Saddle features one of the best endings in any rock song ever.
"Seasons of Wither" , "Back in the Saddle" , "Draw the Line".
Mississippi Queen by Mountain. Mountain performed at Woodstock and had a strong influence on early heavy metal. Also, know I requested before but once again, Carry on My Wayward Son by Kansas.
Aerosmith: Last Child, Walk this Way, Lord of your Thighs, Seasons of Wither, Pandora's Box, Same Ole Song and Dance
Great song....loved the review. Keep up the good work gentlemen.
I like Back in the Saddle myself...
Last child! Great song too. Give it a listen
yes, alex is right, one of the most iconic rock songs ever. not a huge fan of the group but been listening and singing along with this one since high school over 45 years ago!! (geez, I *can't* be that old!) glad andy has at least heard the chorus. that could have been the last straw. 😎
Lol! I'll lend you a few extra straws to keep on hand... For emergency only! :))
Dream On made an incredible smash in the 70s. It's one of the few tracks that is better live. Your stock's rising, boys. Rock on!
I'll recommend the original version of Walk This Way from 1975.
Excellent choice. Classic Aerosmith is fantastic. If there's one deep cut song I think you should here, it's "Big Ten Inch". Very groovy.
I was probably 9 when Steven Tyler wrote this. Now I'm ready to retire. Damn that went fast.
Amen! At least we grew up in a time of bards.
One of my very fav top 10 bands ,love everything they ever put out and Stephen Tyler ,a shooting star, he was, and he still is climbing!!!!
Toys in the Attic for next Aerosmith song.
Tylet is near 70 and he can still hit those notes flawlessly, True icon.
4:36 I was waiting for that moment. Stevens scream and Andy's face....🤯🤯 Other songs by Aerosmith... Reefer Head Woman, Lord of the Thighs and Back in the Sadle.
Aerosmith amazing in concert as well. Love "Pump" & "Get a Grip" albums too.
One of the best songs by aero,i fucking love steven's voice
THISSSSSS WAS THEIR 1ST BIGGGGGGG HIT ANDY! :) FROM BACK IN 73 ON THEIR DEBUT ALBUM, ROCK ON BOYS
You guys might like "Nobody's Fault." It's a blistering hard rocker/ banger!
No one can resist taking that song all the way to the end where Steve Tyler raises octaves higher in that chilling scream. Very chilling. Fun to watch you guys enjoy this one.
Kings and Queens is my favorite by them
Great song...
Forgot about the one too. Great song.
One of their best by far:

Mine, too
YESSSSS!!!!!!
One of my all time favorites. BIG hit in the day. It brings up both happy & sad memories.
Aerosmith~ "Walk This Way" & "Back In The Saddle"
One way street. Best song they’ve done. Banger.
Stephen came out & said "If Van Halen can play in the rain, Aerosmith can play in
the snow". I am glad my children were there as they were in high school to.
Got home past midnight & had to go back to all the press, vehicles & shit.
I was so grateful for what they did for us hours ago. Great channel guys !
Seasons Of Wither :) Enjoy .. Diggin your show
Train Kept a Rollin', Same old Song and Dance, and Toys in the Attic are 3 of my favorite Aerosmith songs. (Walk this way and Sweet Emotion are too).
kings and queens
Iconic tune has been used in film a lot. Walk This Way crossed genres and revived Aerosmith as a rock name.
KING'S AND Queens.
kristopher schmidt YESSSSS!!!!!!!
